The Beginning of Operations
Adam’s office was tucked into a corner on the fifth floor of an old building in Gangnam. Far from the sleek, modern interiors common in the area, the space was rather shabby. Yet, to Adam, it felt like the foundation of a new paradise. Hannah walked in, holding a small potted plant.
“Adam, this place is all gray and dull. How about adding this plant? Modern people care about things like this.”
“Your world is truly different. If this small plant can bring comfort, I will bring much more of nature back to you.”
As Adam organized the office, he renewed his resolve. “I will build a new Eden here.”
The First Task: Product Development
Adam proudly showed Hannah the prototype of his first product, Eden Pure Drink.
The transparent bottle held a beverage made from pure, natural ingredients. Hannah carefully unscrewed the cap and took a sip.
“…It’s surprisingly good. Fresh, with a natural taste. But…”
“Is there a problem?”
Hannah set the bottle down and explained,
“Modern people don’t buy something just because it’s good. Branding, packaging design, and marketing are just as important, if not more.”
“Marketing? What is that?”
Adam tilted his head, clearly puzzled. Hannah tried her best to simplify the concept.
“It’s the process of telling people who we are and why they need this product. That’s how we get them interested enough to buy it.”
Adam pondered for a moment. While he felt disheartened by the materialistic focus of the modern world, he acknowledged the truth in her words.
Hannah’s Help: The First Marketing Plan
Drawing on her experience, Hannah helped Adam create a simple promotional strategy.
“The first step is social media. Modern people spend all day staring at their phones.”
She created an account for Eden Pure Drink and uploaded the first post, showcasing Adam’s pure vision.
“Rediscover the lost paradise. Experience the purity that nature offers.”
The post featured a photo of the handcrafted beverage alongside lush, vibrant greenery.
“Do you think this will work?” Adam asked skeptically.
“Just wait,” Hannah replied confidently. “We’ll see the reactions soon enough.”
An Unexpected Visitor
The next day, an unfamiliar man arrived at the office. He was middle-aged, wearing a refined suit that exuded professionalism. Knocking on the door, he asked,
“Is this… Eden Corporation?”
Hannah greeted him,
“Yes, that’s us. How did you find us?”
The man smiled and held up his smartphone.
“I saw your product on social media. I run a distribution business and was intrigued by the idea. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before, so I decided to visit in person.”
Surprised, Hannah turned to Adam. Even as a novice in marketing, she hadn’t expected such a quick response. Adam smiled and shook the man’s hand.
“I’m glad you saw the drink I made. What is your name?”
“My name is Lee Sung-hoon. I’m in the distribution business. Would it be possible to get a few samples of your product?”
Adam handed him the prototype with care.
“This drink contains everything nature has to offer. It will help people rediscover what they’ve lost.”
The First Success and a New Challenge
A few days later, Sung-hoon’s company contacted them with positive feedback. He proposed a small-scale distribution contract.
“Let’s start by placing small quantities in our network. If the response is good, we can expand the partnership.”
Adam and Hannah celebrated their first victory together.
“Well done, Hannah. We’ve taken our first step. But this is only the beginning.”
As Adam predicted, their first success signaled the onset of greater challenges. Modern society was riddled with complexities that couldn’t be overcome by goodwill alone.
Reflecting on the Creator’s will, Adam resolved,
“No matter what challenges this modern world presents, I will not back down. This is my new Eden.”
Closing Scene of Episode 2
Thus, Eden Pure Drink made its way into its first distribution channel. Far from content with a small victory, Adam prepared for even greater endeavors. Yet, the challenges awaiting him were only just beginning.
“Hannah, soon we’ll face many more people and obstacles. Are you ready?”
“If you’re going, I’m coming too. Don’t worry.”
With Adam and Hannah leading the way, Eden Corporation’s journey was now truly underway.
