He inquired with a smile, leaning against the wall casually, looking at her, curiously.

“O-Oh uh, yeah..that’s me. You were just whistling the theme to Animal Crossing New Horizons just now, weren’t you?”

She asks.

"You got me there..I personally don’t play, but I know Tommy, Lilly, Usui, and Nova do..so it gets stuck in my head sometimes, admittedly...Fun fact, but that’s where we got our crew name, ‘The Horizon Flyers’ from."

Splash chuckles a bit under his breath, clearly pretty amused. He was pleasantly surprised that she picked up on the tune at all.

“But yeah! I’m Splash, the engineer of this fine airship! It’s nice ta finally meet cha, Skye. I imagine you're on your way to your cabin right now, am I correct?"

“Nice to meet you too; and..I was. Why?"

She replies, tilting her head a little bit, confused as to why he was asking.

He chuckled, his gaze becoming a tad more amused now. He leaned against the wall, crossing his forelegs and gave an almost teasing smirk at her.

"Well, I was just wondering. Would yah mind pausing your trip back to your cabin for a moment, to accompany me on a little, harmless adventure?"

She thought about it for a moment, but soon realized she wasn’t really too occupied with anything else at the moment.

"Mmmm..okay. Why not."

He responded cheerfully, gesturing for her to follow him as they walked down the hallway. He glanced over at her from the side periodically as they walked, his gaze still just as curious, but somewhat playful now as well.

"So, tell me about yourself. I'm intrigued ta learn more about yah, newbie." 

He said casually, giving her a friendly but somewhat charming smirk.

Skye honestly had to think about it for a minute. She didn’t really deem herself that interesting in the slightest, but found so much interest in everyone else…she wasn’t sure what kind of answer to really give him.

"There's not really much to me, I don't think..I like to draw and stuff, if that counts for anything.."

Splash chuckled at that, continuing to saunter down the hallway with her, his steps slow and languid as he walked.

"Sounds like you and I have a bit in common then. I like to draw too, and do photography.  Also, don't say there's not much to ya, girl. Everyone has their own talents and personality; I think you’ve yet to uncover your true self, is all!"

He led her one deck above, to a little nook area that felt like a tiny, empty greenhouse enclosure with stuff that would be in a stereotypical artist’s room, before he closed the door and closed some of the curtains. He'd then gesture to a chair near a window, one where you could see some natural light clearly.

"Sit over there, if you would~"

"Y-Yes, sir."

"Oh just call me Splash, sweetheart."

He'd say, as he went off to a little desk, grabbing a sketchbook from it. He opened it up, before flipping to a blank page, a nice new page, before he'd look back over to her.

"Alright, you can position yourself however ya like, just make yourself comfortable and look cute for me, I'll take care of the rest~"

Skye nods her head in agreement, allowing herself to be comfortable in the pose she chose to stay in. He looked at her, sketching out a simple gesture sketch first, to get the pose down. He did want it to look as accurate as possible, after all.

He would continue to sketch for a while until he was absolutely satisfied, sketching over every detail of her. Eventually he set the pencil down, looking at his work, admiring the details he added. He'd then look up, gently smiling at her, a few strands of his hair falling into his face. He'd brush his hair away from his face before speaking.

"You can move now, darling. You did a splendid job holdin' that pose."

"Aw, thanks. How..does it look?"

Skye replies, getting up to stretch a little bit.

He'd turn the sketchbook around so she could take a look. He captured her face nicely, her clothes looked great, her hands, the pose, everything was done just right. She could even tell that even the look in her eyes was there.

"You tell me! I think it came out quite nicely, in all honesty.”

"It came out excellent. Thanks so much Splash."

"Aww, no biggie, sweetheart. Anythin' for our newbie. Think of it like a..very late ‘Welcome Aboard’ gift. Haha."

He'd say as he closed the sketch book, a small satisfied smile on his face, before glancing back at her.

"Say, you don't mind if I ask one more thing, do you?"

“Oh..no, I don’t mind. What is it?”

She asks, doing her typical head tilt. What else did he have planned?

“I remember the first day you came aboard, you said you had the ability to copy other people’s powers, correct? I'm not gonna ask anything complex, I promise.”

Skye nods her head.

“That’s correct.”

Splash gently, but excitedly takes her hands in his, her hands glowing as his powers get replicated.

“Do yah wanna paint together!?”

“O-Oh! S-Sure! Okay!”
