I was running through the forest andI kept running without reason or purpose; I just wanted to run away. I wanted to escape from all of it, but I couldn't because no matter how much I ran, my thoughts keptfollowing me. There was no escape, therefore I eventually couldn't take it anymore, so I just let go. I let go of my body and just fell to the ground.
I stayed down for a while, trying to forget it all, but I couldn't. I had this horrible feeling in my gut that wouldn't go away.I'm not even sure what was causing it or what I was feeling back then—was it anger? Sadness? Or a mix of emotions? Either way, I was just in a chaotic state, not knowing what to do, until I noticed how it started to snow... it distracted me a bit. I felt the snow hit my face. I felt how it melted on my skin and howit grew colder and colder. I was calm. I managed to turn my brain off... but then suddenly I heard something.
I heard footsteps. Someone was coming closer to me, so I quickly jumped up, paying attention to who's coming, and then there she was this girl. She had hair that was white as snow, and her eyes ware glowing, a bright red. Shewas also only wearing some sort of white hospital gown. She was around the same age I was back then. I was very surprised and worried for here even; I mean, I have never seen anyone else in this forest, and she also looked very unusual;she didn't even seem... there was definently something off about her. I tried talkingto her, calling out to here, but she wouldn't talk and remained expressionless; she didn't even look at me. I slowly walked up to her, trying to grab her attention, until she suddenly said something... "hungry." That's all she said, “You're hungry?” I asked. There was no answer; the she started staring at me,and I was just staring back at her, but then the next thing I know is that her hand is around my neck and I'm on the ground.
In just the blink of an eye, she seemed to have dashed towards me, slamming me on the ground, and with her hand around my neck, she wasn't choking me, yet I still struggled to breathe or do anything for that matter; my body just started losing any sort of energy, until I suddenly... woke up. I woke up from what seemed to have been a dream, but it seemed way too real for me to believe that, so I got back up, looking around for any trace of her, but everything is covered in snow.
It seems that at least a day had passed since everything was covered in snow, including me.I then noticed how cold I was and headed home immediately. It was far, much farther than I thought; from time to time I would trip, each time struggling more and more to get back up; however, I somehow managed to make it. I saw our house from a distance, so I gathered all the strength I had left and sprinted towards home, and I made it. I opened the door and looked around for my mom.
I checked the kitchen, the living room, and the garden. Is she upstairs again? I asked myself. I went upstairs, and I remember having this bad feeling that was making every step more difficult, but I still went upstairs. It was silent, so I also tried to be silent, not making any noise. I walked up to my father's office first; the door was slightly open, but I wasn't able to see what was going on. I pushed the door more open, slowly revealing... the image that will haunt me till the end of my days.
