Read Far from home :: Leaving

The night was rough I could still here the screeching from the banndgergers outside the window. I hoped the west city wasn't to far from the south. I was so tired we had to wake up early so that our parents nor our siblings would see us. We grabbed our backpacks, grabbed about $500 from our dads safe and snuck out to the shops. We couldn't get much but we got some bug spray, 2 packs of chips, a big pop-up tent, paper, pens, 2 chuncky torches, batteries and a 30 pack of water. We shoved all our new supplies in our bags and set off. It was so hot out I was really sweaty but at least the banndgergerswere hiding. They hate light it burns their skin so a hot day can be amazing if you wanna go for a walk. We had walked for about an hour and I had to stop for a minute because my legs were so tired.

"Go onnnnnnnnnnnn!" I heard James call.

"Don't you mean come on?" I said jokingly

"Close enough" We both laughed, it felt good to laugh I hadn't laughed in so long, I mean there was never much to laugh about, being at home.

It was getting dark I could see the moon slowly rising over the empty horizon, it was getting colder too.

"Should we set up tent?" I asked hopeful for some sleep.

"Nah the banndgergers will show up soon, we better keep walking we'll sleep tomorrow.
