The Villain's Revelation
The episode opens in a suffocating atmosphere of fear and desperation. Seok-ho, bound and bloodied, shouts, “Don’t do it! Please!” as the knife hovers near Seo-yeon. The Villain, startled by the plea, hesitates, his hand trembling as he lowers the weapon. He turns to Seok-ho, his cold eyes piercing through the tension.
The room is silent, the air thick with suspense. Finally, the Villain speaks, his voice laced with rage and bitterness. “Why do you care for her? She’s just your boss. Do you even know what I’ve been through because of her?”
Seok-ho, his voice trembling, pleads, “Please... don’t hurt her. I’ll do anything. Just let her go.”
The Villain’s lips curl into a dark smirk. “Anything?” he repeats, his tone taunting. “Then give me back my ‘love.’”
Seok-ho, confused, stares at him. “What are you talking about? Who is she? What happened?”
The Villain’s eyes glisten with suppressed anguish as he begins to unravel the story that has haunted him for years.
The Villain's Backstory
The scene transitions to a sepia-toned flashback of the Villain’s childhood.
As a young boy, he grew up in a wealthy but emotionally distant family. His father was strict and demanding, while his mother provided the only warmth in his life. At five years old, he met Yuna, the daughter of his mother’s close friend. Yuna was six months older and immediately became his closest companion. Together, they shared countless adventures, secrets, and laughter, their bond deepening as they grew.
By their early teens, their closeness became the subject of teasing in their neighborhood. Embarrassed by the attention, they began to drift apart. Despite the distance, the Villain’s feelings for Yuna only grew stronger. He longed to confess his love but was paralyzed by fear and doubt.
One fateful night, the Villain’s hesitation turned tragic. As Yuna walked home alone, he followed, determined to finally tell her how he felt. But before he could speak, a car sped down the street, its headlights blinding. The vehicle struck them both, leaving them crumpled on the pavement.
The Villain, gravely injured, could only watch in horror as Yuna lay dying beside him. Her blood stained the asphalt, her breaths shallow and labored. The driver fled the scene, leaving them helpless in the dark.
When the Villain awoke from a year-long coma, his first words were a desperate inquiry about Yuna. His mother’s tearful revelation shattered him: Yuna had died, her life stolen before he could confess his love.
The Present
The flashback fades, returning to the Villain in the present. His voice trembles with suppressed fury as he reveals the truth to Seok-ho and Seo-yeon.
“Do you know who was driving that car?” he asks, his tone icy. Seok-ho and Seo-yeon exchange uneasy glances, dread creeping into their expressions.
The Villain’s lips twist into a bitter smile. “It was your father, Seo-yeon.”
The revelation strikes like a thunderbolt. Seo-yeon’s face pales, her eyes wide with disbelief. Seok-ho looks equally stunned, his mind racing to comprehend the weight of the accusation.
“Your family’s wealth and power buried the truth,” the Villain continues, his voice shaking with rage. “My love died, and your father walked away unscathed. Do you have any idea what that feels like?”
Cliffhanger
The camera lingers on Seo-yeon’s tear-filled eyes and Seok-ho’s clenched fists. The room feels suffocating, the weight of the revelation pressing down on them.
The Villain steps closer, his shadow looming over them. “Now you understand why I’ll never forgive your family. This isn’t just about revenge. It’s justice.”
