Even outside of Mo Yang’s involvement, Lingxu Sect as a whole typically only procured medicinal pills once a year. And due to the exorbitant cost of pills, they would rarely purchase more than thirty at a time.
Moreover, the pills they were able to procure were all ordinary-grade pills.
What Mo Yang had just mentioned, however, were not ordinary items. While they weren’t familiar with the Youth Retaining Pill, they did know about the Marrow Cleansing Pill—a treasure that refined the very foundation of one’s physique. It was so rare and sought-after that even the major sects fought fiercely over it.
This wasn’t something that could be casually bought, and even if it could, Mo Yang would never be able to afford it. The astronomical price alone was far beyond what a disciple could bear.
Mo Yang snorted coldly and said, "If you want the truth, wait until Su Feier wakes up. You can ask her yourself about everything that happened. As for the pills—why should I explain anything to you?"
The Grand Elder’s face darkened, turning a shade of iron gray in his anger. He was about to retort when a sudden wave of energy emanated from Mo Yang’s house, abruptly silencing him.
"Could it be that Feier has broken through?" the Supreme Elder exclaimed in surprise. That energy fluctuation was unmistakably the sign of a breakthrough.
Immediately after, a powerful aura at the third level of the Tongling Realm spread out from the room.
Even the Sect Master couldn’t suppress the glimmer of joy in his eyes. He was fully aware of Su Feier’s cultivation, and reaching the third level of the Tongling Realm was clearly a breakthrough.
However, before anyone could say anything, the gathered elders’ expressions began to shift as the aura inside continued to strengthen. The early stage of the third level gradually transitioned to the mid-stage, growing more and more robust.
"What’s happening? How is her cultivation increasing like this… this is impossible!" The Second Elder’s expression was full of disbelief as he stared at the room behind Mo Yang, his voice trembling.
Mo Yang, while somewhat surprised, wasn’t the least bit shocked.
After all, Su Feier had consumed so many Marrow Cleansing Pills at once. Although it had nearly cost her life, the benefits were unimaginable. The complete refinement of her impurities was akin to a full rebirth—unlocking her potential and making this breakthrough entirely reasonable.
"She’s reached the mid-stage of the third level in the Tongling Realm… This…" Even the Sect Master couldn’t help but exclaim. In all his years of cultivation, he had never seen such rapid advancement.
And yet, the aura within the room continued to grow. It wasn’t until it approached the peak of the third level that it finally stabilized.
The Supreme Elder couldn’t hold back any longer and rushed toward the room. Just as he reached the doorway, he suddenly stopped and turned to Mo Yang. "Boy, is Feier dressed?"
The Sect Master, who had followed closely behind, stumbled to a halt, turning his gaze to Mo Yang as well.
One by one, the elders all stopped and directed their questioning eyes at Mo Yang, momentarily setting aside their earlier accusations regarding the pills.
Mo Yang: "…"
His face instantly darkened, as if it were burned to charcoal. It seemed he would be blamed no matter how he tried to explain. Everything he had said earlier might as well have been wasted words.
With a resolute tone, Mo Yang declared, "I didn’t undress her!"
"I repeat—I did nothing! I didn’t eat the meat, drink the soup, or even cook the meal!"
The Supreme Elder blinked in confusion before glaring at Mo Yang. "Ignorant kid, I’ll deal with you later!"
Without further ado, the elders filed into the room one by one. Mo Yang sighed helplessly and left the courtyard immediately. He couldn’t afford to get tangled up with these old geezers any longer.
By now, the sun was setting, painting the sky with a radiant glow of twilight.
Staring up at the heavens, Mo Yang felt a pang of indescribable loneliness. In the past, even though the sect's elders and many disciples didn’t care for him, there had always been someone by his side, encouraging him and ensuring he never felt alone.
But now, it seemed as though the entire world had abandoned him.
The Xuantian Continent was vast and boundless. Lingxu Sect was merely an ordinary sect located in the western region of the continent. Yet even in this western region, countless sects were scattered across the land. It was said that some ancient holy lands with legacies spanning millennia still existed somewhere on this expansive continent.
"Mo Yang," his late master, the Fourth Elder, had once said, "I’ve spent my entire life in the western region of this continent. But one day, you must venture out and see the world beyond. That’s where true geniuses compete."
The memory of his master’s words echoed in his mind. Now that his master was gone, Mo Yang’s heart no longer felt tied to the sect.
He planned to leave once the time was right—not just to become stronger, but also to seek answers.
There were too many mysteries surrounding him. It felt as though a powerful hand had tampered with his fate. Even the name Star Sovereign, which seemed to hold great significance, was utterly unfamiliar to him. Despite poring over countless ancient texts in the sect’s library, he had found no mention of it.
As night fell, Mo Yang returned to Wood Peak, estimating that the elders had likely left by now.
Walking into the courtyard, he noticed the flickering light of a candle within his house, indicating someone was inside.
Mo Yang frowned. Could those old geezers still be here waiting for him?
He opened the door, only to be stunned by the sight before him.
Inside the room, the candlelight illuminated a wooden tub filled with steaming water. Sitting in the tub was none other than Su Feier.
The wooden tub was Mo Yang’s usual bath, placed there because he had been using Marrow Cleansing Pills frequently. Each time he consumed one, impurities and filth would be expelled from his body, so he had kept the tub indoors for convenience.
But now, Su Feier was using it.
The sudden sight left Mo Yang momentarily frozen. While he had never harbored any improper thoughts about Su Feier, his body reacted instinctively. His gaze, beyond his control, wandered toward certain places.
At his current age, his blood was at its peak vitality. In just a few seconds, his breathing quickened, and he felt his blood rushing uncontrollably.
Su Feier was equally stunned. She had assumed Mo Yang wouldn’t return for quite some time. After waking up earlier and discovering the foul stench emanating from her body, she had decided to bathe quickly and quietly. Who could have guessed he would return so soon?
After a brief moment of shock, her scream pierced the night.
The shriek, sharp and loud, jolted Mo Yang back to his senses. He paled in terror, hastily turned around, shut the door, and fled the courtyard without looking back.
It wasn’t until midnight that Mo Yang cautiously returned. After observing the area and confirming that Su Feier had already left, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Back in his room, he entered the Star Sovereign Tower. His true energy had grown increasingly robust, to the point where it was becoming difficult to suppress. He needed to prepare for a breakthrough.
The Heavenly Profound Realm differed significantly from the previous three realms. Instead of three stages, it was divided into nine levels.
This realm marked a turning point for cultivators. Upon breaking into the Heavenly Profound Realm, one needed to open their profound veins—unlocking nine hidden treasures within the body. These veins would connect their entire system, allowing spiritual energy to flow seamlessly. At this stage, their combat power would experience an earth-shattering transformation, utterly surpassing previous realms.
