Chapter 16: Snow White with red hair

Diz and Benji are going through a village. Mainly filled with elves, humans and dwarfs. The village is big, a small part of a large kingdom. The kingdom is like medieval times but with barely any humans. 

Diz goes off to do a separate job while Benji goes off finally getting a break. He hears yelling and screaming nearby. He runs towards the noise to see a massive monster, a monster that could have been seen in hell. Benji summons his blade, a beacon of light to the few survivors left from the monster's terror. He runs, slicing the monster, the master's claws hitting Benji making small gashes, in the end Benji soon ends its life.

Benji flops to the ground tiredly, his wounds soon fixing themselves, his body scattered in the monster's blood. He sees a boy around 17 with long red hair and a bleeding scar on his face. He hides behind a half broken tree. Benji waves at the boy, he walks closer to Benji wearing tattered clothes. 

“ Thank you..” the boy murmurs, looking over his now savior. Benji smiles, maybe even if he couldn’t have saved his family, he can save others.

“ No problem” Benji replies

“ I’m Lingguang, um ,thank you for saving us, um, how do I get strong, like you?” The boy asks. Benji does not even know why himself and starts to chuckle to himself. 

“ Well train I suppose, get strong so you can save the ones you love. But remember , you can’t save everyone so don’t blame yourself if someone gets hurt ” Benji gets a bit embarrassed from how cheesy it sounded , seconds pass as he gets a letter from a crow from Diz. 

“ Dear disciple  , I’m currently at the castle , come by quickly. “ it says on a small piece of paper tied to the crows foot. Benji looks at the kingdom, sighing making his way to the castle. Lingguang tugs his cloth , Benji turns to look confused. 

“ Will we meet again?” He asks.

“ uh probably not” Benji responds before Lingguang starts tearing up. 

“ H-hey it’s a possibility! “ Benji quickly follows up. Lingguang brightens up completely, smiling. 

“ I- … I hope we meet again! Uh” he says, noticing Benji's red sun tattoo. “ Thank you sun god, ” Lingguang says. Benji echoes that title in his head as he never thought of himself as a god. The crow flies above squawking at him to hurry up. 

Benji quickly runs to the castle, oddly, no guards near or anywhere in fact. He walks inside seeing the room covered in blood. A golden crown placed on the throne. A door creaks as Diz walks in holding, he walks in soon noticing Benji.

“ Finally , let’s go,” Diz says, blood covering his cloaks, Making Benji remember he isn’t normal, he’s a murderous cannibal who wishes to have power over the universe. The thought makes Benji's skin crawl, he remembers the blood covered room.

“ What did you do?” Benji asks his guard a bit up. 

“ I needed information , the second king wished for me to murder the first in order to get it. “ Diz answers.

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“ Min spoke about a woman named Judah. I've heard it rarely, but she’s a paladin of light. She’s an angel apparently, she came to this planet to bless the humans for uh long life and, I forgot” he waves it off.

“ Anyhow, she wants to kill me, and I can’t let that happen. So, I’ll have to kill her first. The king doesn’t seem to be keen on her, he thinks it shouldn’t be a woman to be the highest paladin but I don’t care. A threat is a threat woman or man” 

“ and all the blood here?” Benji asks to process the rest of the information.

“ The first king, his blood of course” Diz says as he writes markings. 

“ I’ll be busy for a bit, I’ll send you to my realm, Mins will be staying there too until I’m back ”

“ with min!? W-why can't he stay in his?” Benji says a bit desperate not wanting to be near him. 

“ Judah knows him, she could have his blood which can lead her to his realm if she hasn’t already” Diz explains, finishing up the mark. He grabs Benji, tossing him into the realm.
