Jax knew that he had somehow touched Micah's ego. Knowing Micah's personality, he probably saw him as a nemesis, someone he had to crush as soon as possible.

But he didn't think it would be this fast. They were still filming their series. It was supposed to be released in 6 months.

Micah having another pairing while their series was still in the filming phase was not good. The fans would start jumping onto the new fandom. No one would watch their series on its release.

"Argument," Jax said. "He didn't like that I disagreed with him."

Ray sighed. "Well, we can't undo things. I'll just try to mitigate these things. I'll hire some people to put some comments only. For the meantime, try to mentally prepare yourself."

Jax said thank you and dropped the call.

Jax went to the filming site by himself since Ray had another priority. When he arrived, the staff looked at him. He knew what was on their mind.

He greeted them good morning and went to the makeup room. As he walked towards the room, he could feel all eyes on him. He knew that they were trying their best not to ask questions so as to respect his privacy.

When he arrived in the room, the makeup staff approached him.

"Are you okay?" she had a pout on her face.

Jax smiled. "Of course, I am."

She hugged him. "It's okay sweetie. This is how the industry works. You have to be away from your boyfriend because he's got a pairing. But don't worry. We're all on your side."

Confused, Jax just gave her a smile. She then led him to his chair and began doing his makeup.

That's when Jax realized that people really thought that he and Micah were dating. That's why they somehow looked bad when he arrived. They must have thought that he was so affected by Micah's new pairing because they really believed they were dating.

When his makeup was done, he went through his social media and saw a lot of people posting the hashtags #MiChrisONCAM and #MicJaxOFFCAM

"I guess I don't really have to worry about the series after all," he remarked.

Jax turned around. It was Micah... with his new partner.

"Nothing." Jax stood up and headed for the door.

"Drink some water. I feel a little thirsty." He faked a smile.

Chris gave the water to Jax and he accepted it. Jax was about to give another excuse when Micah interrupted him.

Chris reached his hand out for a handshake. "You must be Micah's boyfriend. Nice to meet you."

Jax just returned the handshake, not knowing how to respond to the boyfriend comment.

"I've been a fan of yours. You were really a great pairing. But a rift of some sort must have happened between you two since it was Micah's management who actively sought out my management for us to be pair." Chris' eyes widened and he put his hand over his mouth. "I'm sorry. I spoke too much. I'm so sorry."

Micah put his hand over Chris' shoulder. "No worries, Chris. You were just telling the truth."

Chris pursed his lips.

Upon seeing their closeness, Jax felt a little tug in his heart. He shook the feeling away and smiled. "Yeah, no worries. You two look great. Pretty sure your series would be a bomb."

Taking into account Chris' response, Jax thought that he masked his feelings pretty well. However, Micah caught him hiding his feelings. Micah smirked.

'I told you. It is not only your career that I can break. I can break more than that. I can break your heart just as easy,' Micah thought.

"Hopefully that would be true. I feel kind of nervous, but Micah reassures me. He always tells me that he'll teach me firsthand," Chris said.

"Micah?" Jax asked.

Chris was quite confused why he was asking that. "Of course, it's Micah. He's my onscreen partner." He chuckled.

Jax chuckled nervously. "Of course, of course. I'll get going now. It was nice meeting you, Chris." He turned to look at Micah. "I'll go now, sir Micah," he said with an emphasis on the word sir.

That was when Micah got why Jax suddenly asked. It wasn't because of who. It was because of how Chris addressed him.

Right after Jax left the room, Micah looked at Chris. 

"What was that?" Micah asked.

Chris smiled. "Didn't I do well, Micah?"

"Sir," Micah said.

Chris furrowed his brows in confusion. "What are you talking about, Micah?"

"I said, sir." His tone became more authoritative. The shift in the air was very obvious.

"But if I call you that, wouldn't it be hard to keep up this pretense? You did hire me for this very reason," Chris said.

Micah just looked at him. Chris understood.
