Kai looked out toward the cave he sighed softly, and slowly he turned toward Brice “What’s with attacking this cave Brice?” Brice looked at Kai somewhat disappointed that he couldn’t figure it out himself, “This cave has vampires in it, as well as some other kind of night creatures… I shouldn’t have to explain this!” Brice silently yelled, after he did so something stepped in front of the cave in the shadows, a creature without skin on its face appeared, Kai grabbed his sword with a smile he hopped through the bushes, and sprinted towards the creature, he pulled his sword halfway out, causing it to glow a bright yellow. “Slashing Sunshine.” He yelled, once he was close enough he went a little to the side and pushed the blade through the creature to cut it in half. Parts of its body lifted into the air as the other half disintegrated. “So, how long do you think we’ll be trapped in this realm?” Brice walked forward, “Tough to say, the barrier that we entered doesn’t always appear in the same place now, I’m guessing the same is for the exit.” Kai’s hand trembled as he put his sword back into the sheath, “What ever happened to the others?” Kai asked keeping his hand on his weapon Brice looked at his hand understanding what Kai is willing to do if he didn’t answer right, “From my understanding the men said they simply reappeared on the island, when they tried to enter back into the portal it was like the land itself didn’t want them back, anyhow we should continue.” Brice said trying to walk around Kai but as soon as he got close, Kai pulled his word out and aimed it directly between Brice and the cave, “Nice story, but tell me the truth.” Brice sighed he looked at Kai somewhat disappointed, “They appeared in their own homes out of the blue, with no knowledge of how they got back we took drastic measures and had them under lock and key. One day during checkups they were all gone with no traces on how they got out. On record, they appeared where they entered on the island, but off we put it down as they died.” Kai looked back at Brice, shocked by his words, by his calmness of their situation“Were they like us?” Brice shook his head “The first few groups we had sent were completely normal people with at the end of the day, they had all died. This group is the first with semi-all magical weapon holder, your son is the only non-magical one here.”
Kai, confronted with thoughts, lowered his sword, “That's why you didn’t want me to bring him.” Brice nodded, “We didn’t want to have your head out of the game if for some reason your son disappears from this world. As if my theory is right, we’ll be here til we all die, of natural or unnatural causes.” Kai’s sword arm began to tremble, “If that's true, and Don does get sent back, I could never see him again… if I’d known that I wouldn’t have signed up.” Brice smirked, and held his arm at his waist, “Gone or stayed it wouldn't have mattered anyhow. Cause if it's true and the barrier is increasing, everyone on our previous world who can unlock a magical item will be gone and everyone else likely die.” Kai’s sword glowed a dark red color, tears fell from his face, Brice ignored him and continued walking. But before long a rage-like feeling awoken in Kai soon after everything turned black, and he was walking toward the village his sword out and covered with blood, he stopped and looked behind him and saw a frightened Brice with his left arm that had his glove gone, he looked forward and continued walking.
After several hours of walking, he was greeted by some worried people attending to Brice, a majority were healers who tended to his wounds “What had happened?” Corpus asked, Brice with a labored breath tried to speak a few times but couldn’t find the words, until he had “The night creatures had ambushed us in the cave system, Kai handled a majority but missed one, and I tried to intervene but in doing so my arm was severed, and I’ve lost my Magical item.” Corpus looked at the ground and sighed loudly, “This isn’t good… We’re down two magical item users. Meaning surveying will be a lot more difficult as it will have to be just one person, same with visiting other kingdoms or even expansions. Everything will take longer.” Kai looked at Corpus “I know it may appear difficult Corpus, but I’ve got this, I’ll take a short break and in the morning I’ll head to our neighbor's in the Republic 9 great provinces, and discuss on securing the lands that we need to make sure Eldoria becomes a great kingdom.”
The Next Day
Kai properly secured his backpack and sword, he looked behind him and saw the still healing Brice and Corpus, who had started to walk over with Don as well. Once he was over, he gave Kai a smile, “Kai, I implore that you take dawn with you.” Kai looked at him curious on why, “Why, I’d figured for his safety it’d be best he stayed here.” Corpus nodded, “Yes, but with the increase in fame due to us helping and banding with other small villages, and the increase of the village's populous, if we were attacked there would be no way for us to ensure his safety.” Kai nodded, although he didn’t want to admit Corpus was right, “Alright, the lords of the Republic, are well known for approving of the building up of a new nation.” Kai said once he did he turned around and began to walk, Don followed soon after.
Some days into the journey, Kai swiftly jumped up lifting his sword arm his sword glowed due to its mystical use, he slashed down cutting the hill troll in half, he landed swiftly on his feet and he smiled. He groaned loudly, “Don you can come out now.” Don came out from the bushes slightly scared, “Dad that was the 4th hill troll on the Titan Road, maybe alternative means of getting to the capital should be thought of?” Kai looked at Don, obviously showing signs of being tired, “This is the shortest route any other route will take 70 days this route will take 52 days.” Kai said Don was going to speak, but Kai quickly covered his mouth as he looked the opposite way his eyes widened as the ground below them trembled, he used his unoccupied hand to carry his sword suddenly the trembling stopped as horse carriage had been the source of it “Ah a traveler!” the driver asked with a smile Kai sighed then let his son go “Where do you two hail from?” Kai looked around, his eyes glowing slightly, but he sensed no hidden ambush he looked at the driver “We come from Yelile…” The driver nodded with a slight smiled, “Yelile I just came from there, a rather nice village with great potential to last longer in this region.” The driver looked at Kai with a curious expression then oddly looked at his sword, “You must be the buddy they were talking about… Kai they said, and his son Don?” Kai looked wide-eyed as he thought they shouldn’t mention each other but quickly went back to his ordinary poker face, he nodded “If I remember correctly you're heading to, The capital of the republic Vestria-Vistro. I’m not heading toward there, but I’m heading close enough if you want I can give you a ride?” The driver said offering a hand, Kai slid his sword into his sheath and looked at Don who had a tired expression, he looked back and nodded.
Kai jumped onto the side of the carriage helping up Don, afterward once they were settled the horses began to move. “So, Traveler, have you heard about Sybil?” The Driver said, clearly trying to cut down the awkwardness, “No, who is she?” The driver smiled ear to ear his long dirty hair being blown by the wind revealing his sharp ears “She’s a girl claiming to be the creator of magic, its truly believable really, she has long silver hair with markings that run throughout her body that glow with a great amount of magic, even Rylor would be scared of her.” Kai looked at the man interested in his little rumor, “Do you believe in the rumors?” The driver nodded “Yes I’ve seen her myself and she can do pretty crazy things no normal person could do with magic, like using all inheritable ability, and she has more magic than any normal fairy and has proven she may be a child of Rylor, as with helped from another child of Rylor, she created the fairy realm and now all of Valdoria worship her and even some of Canth.”
Some days later
The carriage began to stop slowly as it reached some gates, the carriage driver smiled and looked back, “This is my stop as well as yours, I’d suggest you and your son look for some items in the capital.” The driver looked side to side then back at Kai “Just look out for pickpockets, they promote no crime, but it's a lie generally there are a ton of pickpockets and your sword, can go missing within a second of losing your eyesight.” Kai nodded he hopped off then helped his son off as well, he gave the driver a wave goodbye then entered the capital, very quickly in they find themselves in the Market district “Come one, come all the best spell books in Aydi!” Kai continued walking holding his son's hand as the district was crowded, suddenly he saw a bigger group of people hovering over a silvered haired girl, she walked over with eyes laid on Kai, she stopped a foot or so and looked at him suspiciously “A human in my realm, how strange…” Kai looked at the women sighing “Sybil, I’m guessing.” Sybil smiled grabbing Kai's hands “So interesting, the only one in this entire continent I can't read, you must be an otherworlder?” she said blushing Kai nodded “Yes in my realm gods are generally either dead or made up, never ever walking.” Sybil nodded, “I heard from whom I’m guessing was one of your buddies.” Kai looked at her confused and a little shocked, “but that was some years ago, they actually stayed here but had disappeared overnight, if I may, I can walk you to a perfect place where we could speak.” Sybil said looking around as many others prayed upon her, she seemed quite annoyed, Kai nodded, and she smiled she snapped her finger, both Kai and his son disappeared and reappeared in some quiet tavern sitting down near a window “Sorry about that crowd… Do you have some questions for me?” Kai looked out the window and saw the capital, “So what makes a god, is it just being born from Rylor, or is there another requirement as well?” Sybil smiled at his question “Generally speaking to be a god you don’t have t be born from the father, it just is easier, and you’d be considered a major god or goddess, but if a creature or person is born with a great amount of mana and does good enough good deeds they’ll be considered a minor god, powerful enough to do some miracles, but that's it, in order to have the power to create being a son or daughter of Rylor is required. The same could be said about being a Demon king but with horrible acts instead of good and being feared and worshiped instead of just worshiped, they can create as well, but like gods only major ones can create, minors are down to some miracles. And for both, only majors can have or choose avatars, but in order to have avatars we must be ascended to the realm of creation or destruction.” Kai looks away from the window to Don who had been sitting and listening quietly to Sybil “Why talk to me, I don’t see a reason for any of this and yet you did?” Sybil frowned at Kai's question, “Why must I have a reason to interact with another person?” Kai placed his hand on his sword and looked at Sybil with a stern face, “All gods from my world always want something, this world is no different.”
Sybil sighed his heart sank at the sight of Kai reaching for his weapon, “Fine… There is a prophecy that for me to ascend, I will meet a man with a sword, a small child and a power no one else has, to cut it short I will have some adventures with them and I will fall deeply in love with the sword wielder, and carry his child. After that, I will ascend and that child will be my avatar and their first child will be another of my avatar once the first dies and, every first child of that family will be my avatar.” Kai let go of his sword, with a sigh. “If you want my permission to come along, I’d prefer you not follow me, but I won’t stop you.”
Kai stood up and began to leave Don followed as well as Sybil, Kai groaned but nothing else as he began to get back on the road. Passing by some woods, he looked up at the sky and saw it began to turn to night, “Maybe we should set up camp nearby?” Kai said stopping completely, Sybil looked around, her eyes glowed as well as her marking “Goblins surround us.” Kai nodded, pulling out his sword, he lifted his arm to the air “Daylight orb.” Kai said a orb of a artificial son shot into the sky revealing the goblins' location, they had circled them, Sybil walked forward she raised her hand “Snow storm.” from her hand a tempest formed and shot out freezing the goblins blocking the path forward “Let me deal with the others as well, you continue forward.” Kai nodded, grabbing his son's hand he ran forward, he ran as far as finding himself near a lake and a fork in the road, suddenly two vampires blocked their correct path, one with long silver hair and another with short black hair Kai let go of his son's hand and ran forwards “Get out of the way!” He yelled slashing the sword downwards the earth began to move forward like a slash, and before it could hit the vampire jumped away she vampire held out her hand “Blood spear.” from her blood a spear formed she grabbed it and ran forward she attempted to slash, but Kai stopped her by blocking “What the hell is it with this path and dangers?!” The Vampire smiled with teeth and fangs showing “This is The Black Forest you fool, even the local tribe of fairies is smart enough to build walls and have proper vampire killers, Kai looked around for any idea on what to do but couldn’t figure out anything.
Kai held out his arm “Bind!” he yelled the trees began to twist and bend as the roots beneath the very soil the vampires stood on began to twist around their feet, the vampire looked at Kai shocked, and he slammed his sword into the dirt and yelled out some words and soon the roots exploded with new branches entering the vampires and holding them down, before they could break out Kai grabbed his son's hand and began to run. “Sister, was it truly wise to let them go?” The lady vampire smiled and broke free quickly from the roots, “If my plans work in the future we’ll be kings and queens of this entire continent as we’d be the most powerful vampires.
