Paimon smiled as he extended his arm, “My eye might know of it.” Lavender used some kind of magic and summoned the magical blade through her skin, it had significantly looked different than before, and despite its different look the emperor looked at the blade in shock “That relic is known as the dragon blade, it power alone is to enhance what the user already has within them, so your magic is enhanced as well as your healing it’s one downside is that it greatly increases the rate cursed magic has on the physical body or the soul of the body for instance, it’s been proven for some time as long as you don’t use forbidden magic for an extended period for instance 4 years your soul will pass on without issue. With this blade, it will only take merely a year's worth of time.” Lavender and Markus looked at each other “Who had this sword before me?” Paimon looked deeper into the sword, his eyes glowed due to the use of his information-based inherited art “There were many but none of which I could identify as a grand majority stayed behind a semi-quiet life.” Lavender gripped at the sword nervously “What about the first user, its creator?” The emperor's eyes began to blood as he focused more and more on the sword background “It’s difficult to see but I gather he’s from another world not like ours, his world is where all our relics came from he was one of the founders of this empire, known as Kaiden, he’s also a former 10th god turned demon king.” Paimon eyes began to bleed in greater amounts soon the magic faded and he fell unconscious, almost hitting the floor but a guard caught him “What happened to him?!” Lavender yelled “His lordship overused his ability.” Lavender looks at the guard confused and shocked “I thought no inherited ability can be overused?”
The guard looked at Lavender angrily “Incorrect, most abilities rely on at least a small amount of internal magic but some have a hereditary curse that greatly weakens that internal mana system, his lordship is one of those.” Lavender looked at the guard shocked and tried to help but he quickly slapped her hand away picking the emperor up and carrying him, he turned around coldly “Please find another way to get any other information.” The guard with the emperor in hand quickly left them in the dirt.
Lavenders arm began to shock but quickly it was stopped by Markus from him holding onto her shoulder “You only used the sword once and that was to heal a wound, I’m sure you’ll be fine.” lavender exhaled quickly dispelling the sword “We need to find out information on Kaiden, and since Paimon is out of order, and the Tower of Arcane is halfway destroyed we have no other methods of knowing who he is or was besides that he was a former god turned demon lord.” Markus smiled, “I got an idea.”
Lavender and Markus walked through the streets with Markus still semi-thinking of what his idea was or how it could work, then he got it lavender could tell because of the way he gets “Every god has walked the earth right?” Lavender looked at Markus and nodded “Yes everyone knows it takes a bit of time for god born to ascend.” Markus walked forward and turned around he now walked backward and was facing Lavender “Each god has left a history or an archive, something that describes everything they’ve created, or have plans on making, what if we go to Arcane base of operation!” Lavender sighed raising her hands slightly “There are four issues with that, First off his archive is at his tower that is in the Viridian Kingdom it would take months to get there without support due to the war pushing certain creatures further toward the main road to there, second the tower is half gone meaning it’s very likely the stairs are under the rubble, third cause it was attacked they will be on high alert and will attack anyone even slightly suspicious, and fourth was in the middle of a war, while it isn’t likely any attacks have happened there since the Lich lives in the Abyss Waste, there could be a chance. Oh, plus I already know a great amount about Kaiden.”
Markus looked at her shocked and confused about how she knew about him already “When I was young about six maybe I discovered my necromancy, I hadn’t used it but I wanted to learn if there was anyone like me and of course there was. But one person in particular interested me, Kaiden Grey-Walker like the Emperor said he wasn’t from our world, back then The veil that covered our world was at its weakest due to the birth of the first children so occasionally a portal would open allowing visitors from other worlds to come in. They changed some things and that was it. Then Kaiden came along he was as you know it a founder of the emperor who was worshiped as a great man who healed Eldoria due to his conquest, as you know it Worship leads to godhood and soon he became the first and last non-child of the first to be one of the 9 back then 10.”
Markus turned and walked next to Lavender curious about where the story is ending “What happened to him, why haven’t I heard his name before?” Lavender side-eyed Markus “As you know most non-first children go insane with power he was no exception. He was the god of death and he tried to prevent his son's death, which led to him becoming the 9th demon king, Kaiden the undying, the ‘creator’ of true vampirism, and any undead creature.” Lavender continued to walk and Markus followed, it took some time for them to get back but once they had they opened the door “It’s too dangerous to be going back there!” Gilbert yelled lavender walked a little faster, curious on what they were speaking about “Go where?” She said Gilbert looked at Lavender angrily but not toward her “Isen and Vockler, both want to go back to our home in the dark forest to retrieve some relic that’s not promised to work.” Lavender stepped forward “What relic?” Gilbert looked at Lavender as if she was crazy alongside them “The Book of Disdain, it’s a book that lets you view or see what special attacks your sword or any relic may have.”
Lavender looked at her sword then at Vockel “Why wasn’t it retrieved before we left?” Vockel looked to the map unsure of how to answer, “To tell you the truth, there is no evidence besides some hundred or two hundred years ago that this relic even works.” Gilbert looked at him as if he was crazy “You have no clue if it works now but you still want to send some of our fairies to there?” “Half of us aren’t even knowledgeable on offensive magic.” Lavender raised her arm ”I can.” Gilbert turned toward her with a slight frown “That’s not a great idea the place is covered in lower vampires, and as a reminder, miss Sybil only revived you once, and we have no clue if she’ll do it again.”
