My journey to Grarc took me a week long and I went to the guild as soon as I arrived. The Raven guild master had sent someone to escort me to his office. I used this trip to figure out how to use my free time to look for the Isrier flower. My guess was that the flower had to have existed somewhere in the Iphania Kingdom as someone where able to procure it. The flower looked too fresh and was in excellent condition.
The guild master might be able to find some clues. I just hope he won’t abuse my abilities as payment for the information. The person escorting me to the office left as soon as I seated myself and waited for the guild master to arrive.
He wanted me here and he cannot stay on time, typical. As I was ranting to myself, the door to the office opened and inn walks the Raven guild master with his mask on. He takes a seat in front of me.
“It is good to see you again Miss Lily,“ he began. “I hope your trip went well?”
“Cut the small talk,“ I replied. “What do you want from me?“
I know, I’m sounding cold, but I have zero patience. I could have been looking for the flower the week I used to get to Grarc.
“Seems like somebody is grumpy,“ he commented. “If that is so, then I’ll get to the point. I got a commission from a certain place from a certain someone. They are looking for a person to stay with the lord at all times. The commissioner said the pay for their work would be known in person, or that pay could be discussed if the initial deal doesn’t suit your needs”
While saying so, he took out a black envelope and placed it on the table that was between us. The guild master passed the envelope and I took it up looking for the seal. I didn’t recognize it.
“If you accept this task, you’ll have to leave soon and show this envelope at the gates to your employer and the people will let you in easily. If you accept, I will tell you right away where you have to go. So what do you say, Miss Lily?“
I examine the envelope. It is a tempting offer if I lack money which isn’t the case. All I can think about is the flower and nothing else.
“Can I ask you something?“ I ask.
“Anything“
“Do you think you can help me find or look for information about the Isrier Flowe? My friend is in dire need of another one“
“Hmm. I think your to-be-employer might have the answer to your question“
He was smiling as he said so. It didn’t seem calculating to me at all, which worries me.
“So, where am I headed to?“
“I’m glad you asked!“
