heyhey :) im audrey_xo_ and this is my fashion advice column (｡•  ̫  •｡)/

i will be focusing on finding ur personal style :D so i hope ur able to learn a thing or two from my experience :)

to welcome u here’s an illustration of annie, one of the main characters in my yuri, drama “A Singer & A Fan” wearing the 60s mod style :D

the mod style is kinda similar to the 1920s flapper style annie wears in the light novel since dresses with androgynous cuts and short hair were a staple in both. both were also created by and worn by youth to rebel against previous generations and their traditionalist styles :o 

fashion in general can be a tough thing to get into due to the sheer amount of styles and sub-styles but inspiration helps you start out on the right foot. when getting inspiration look at the outfits your friends, artists and influencers u follow on social media wear and pick out the pieces or vibes u like. when it comes to this step artists and influencers r going to be especially useful since they usually have eccentric or quirky styles and more money to spend on clothes. 

now there’s two things u can do after this and the first thing is to either ask the friend ur getting inspo from or ask in the comments if it’s an artist or influencer what style the piece in (in a respectable manner ofc). if it’s an influencer or an artist ur getting inspo from u can also screenshot the post and post it to a fashion forum or a fashion discord server while asking what style the piece is in. the other thing u could do is screenshot and image search the screenshot to find the shop the piece u like is from. now go to this shop’s website and if it’s a smaller boutique check the ‘about us’ to see what style their clothes r in. if its a bigger store check what style category or collection it’s put in since these usually relate to the style in some way.

a third, secret way to find a clothing style u like is to look up fashion pages on pinterest, tumblr, or instagram since these pages often include the style the outfit their posting is in or include it in their description if they only post one or a few styles. 

when finding ur personal style feel free to experiment :D that could mean trying a style way out of ur current comfort zone or taking elements u like from multiple styles and combining them to make something unique :3 this is one of my favorite things to do as there a lot of styles im into but im kinda broke so when i have money to buy clothes i often buy pieces that mesh well into different styles or pieces that i can style into multiple different fashion styles :D

if ur curious my favorite styles to wear r the hime gal and onee gal gyaru substyles and a mix of visual kei and emo :D
