Out of all the people Rayan had expected to see that night Jiya was not one of them, this was a wedding for one of his friends who isn't a key player in the industry he knew for a fact that they did not know Jiya Khanna of all people.

You see Jiya came from a well known rich celebrity family filled with only people within the industry, they didn’t know regular people like his friends who were just starting to work in the industry hell he was sure Jiya wouldn’t even know who the bride and groom's names if he went up and asked her right now but what was she doing here?

Besides his better judgement he walked up to her.

“Fancy running into you here”

As Jiya turned around her expression twisted into something he hadn’t seen before -embarrassment.

 One thing everyone who was anyone knew about Jiya was the fact that she was shameless she was the girl who asked for her co-starts T-shirts to wear in front of the paparazzi’s so that she starts a false dating rumour because it will help her in the promotions of the film.

How did Rayan know about this? He heard it from Rosie, don’t get me wrong Rosie wasn’t a gossip, but some things are just too weird not to talk about.

Apparently Jiya begged the actor who worked with her to act like a couple during promotions she even convinced the production house to pay him extra for this promotional stunt under table.

But here she was flustered out of her mind just because Rayan approached her at a random wedding.

“I am going to gut you like a fish if you told anyone that you saw me here” She spat at him.

Of course, the first thing out of her mouth was a threat.

“Are you that embarrassed of people knowing that we might accidentally have the same friend circle?” Rayan asked with his classic smirk.

“Oh, you wish, I got paid to be here” Jiya confessed apparently the embarrassing truth wasn’t as embarrassing as being associated with Rayan.

This was a foreign for Rayan being the man that he was every person with a beating pulse was into him wanting to be seen with him wanting to be near him wanting to be associated with him.

Jiya was the only person who didn’t wanted to get six feet even near his shadow he couldn’t tell if he liked that he hated it or hated that he liked it.

“Why would someone pay you to be here? Is it like an escort service?” Rayan was genuinely confused.

“I am not a bloody escort you imbecile I am just a moderately famous person who adds as a status symbol to every event and people pay for that kind of stuff” Jiya rolled her eyes just being in Rayan’s presence was infuriating to her.

“Can’t believe I have been doing it for free all these years” Rayan paused to take a sip of his drink “Still seems beneath you though”

“I thought you didn’t drink”

“I don’t I am just pretending to drink so that I don’t have a parade of people around me convincing me to drink all night”

“That’s lame” Jiya took the glass from him and downed the drink in one go before returning the glass to him.

“You do not hold back, do you?” Rayan smirked.

“I know it’s beneath me I don’t need your little reminders, I just…. need the money all right” Jiya said the alcohol making her a bit more vulnerable.

“Why would you out of all people need money from a gig like this?” If Rayan knew one thing it was the fact that Jiya was loaded her family was one of the biggest families in the industry she had so many luxuries everyday when Rayan checked the interned, it was filled with fluff pieces about some over the top expensive thing Jiya had purchased.

“My family is in debt we have been for years every single penny I make goes to maintaining the façade of the rich happening family that we once were” Rayan has never seen anyone be this wrong and right at the same time also strong and helpless at the same time.

“It’s bad all right I borrowed clothes from you girlfriend for my last shoot” It was true Jiya couldn’t afford luxury outfits for her thirst trap posts on Instagram, so she asked Aliza for some of her clothes and Aliza being Aliza obliged.

“That was nice of her to do”

“She is too good for you” Of course she was insulting Rayan to his face after he was calmly standing there listening to her problems, that was just how Jiya was she would never give you a minute of peace even at her worst.

“Trust me I know” Rayan chuckled “Why can’t you take up an actual acting job thought it must be easier than doing this” Rayan suggested Jiya wasn’t a good actress, but she was an actress and believe it or not there are a ton of acting works that didn’t need you to be good at acting.

“In my entire career I had one movie that was good I got signed for one movie since then and because my previous co start couldn’t keep his pie hole shut about the whole PR thing three different actors said they didn’t want to work with me” Jiya was beyond pissed about the situation.

“Out of curiosity why couldn’t you not have done the PR thing?” Rayan asked he really didn’t get the appeal of starting a fake relationship rumour for promotions.

“The movie was a bulk load of bull crap” Jiya spat out and Rayan burst out laughing.

“Nobody wants to see a film that ends with then they all died the end only thing that made that film run was people wanting to see the chemistry of this alleged new couple in town which was the result of my PR I did that”

“Guess I can’t argue with that” Rayan was both impressed and had a newfound respect for Jiya.

“Don’t try the same thing with your new film with Aliza though it’s an actually good film if your chemistry in real life gets too overwhelming it will ruin the film chemistry”

“Please my movie is not going to be a flop because I love my girlfriend”
