Callum considered the journey ahead and was excited about traveling with Maerin. Something about the half-Atlantean, half-Merman intrigued him.

Every moment he spent with Maerin he found himself growing closer and closer. Now, Callum couldn't deny his feelings anymore, he was falling in love with Maerin.

As the night wore on though he started to feel sleepy. While drifting off he heard a knock at the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's Maerin."

"Come in."

"Are you excited about your travels?"

"Yes and the thought of finally meeting my father makes me happy," and the thought of traveling with you makes me happy too Callum thought but of course, he couldn't tell Maerin that.

"I'll let you rest now," Maerin said as he kissed Callum gently on the lips.

Callum placed his hands on his lips, was he dreaming or did Maerin kiss him?

"Sweet dreams, Callum."
