“C-can I at least have your name…?"

Asked Kenny awkwardly, not really understanding how to act in this sudden moment.

“Kina! What about yours?”

Quickly replied Kina

His eyes widened and the saddened look of mr.Jorge “Thank you son”

“Are you…. Jorge’s daughter?”

Gently asked Kenny, as his heart started beating faster and his hands slowly started to tremor,

feeling the stomach sickness slowly fill his empty hole from heart.

The situation wasn’t that deep, but the regret was stuffed up all the way to his bone marrow.

Kenny was well raised so situations like this, in which he knew that he could act way better,

were a mood killer and also a pain to his heart.

“Jorge is my father! How did you know?!”

Continued Kina with bright sparkling eyes, showing her joy-filled oculars, after which she got

closer to Kenny’s face, for some unknown reason (in a friendly manner).

“Y-yes… (she’s so close) I started helping him out around here”

Said Kenny, awkwardly, not knowing if he should back up because he was feeling a little bit

uncomfortable, or if he should stay in the same position so that Kina would not feel bad.

“Sometimes when I’m bored… (gets away from his face) I come out here”

Kina said smilingly, doing a 360 turn, showing the trees around them, with her hands, just like

reporting a reality show.

“And eat… oranges?”

“EXACTLY. HOW DID YOU KNOW?”

“Erm…”

“I knew from your looks that you would be a smart one”

“I KNOW. LET’S GO OUT ON A DATE!”

Exclaimed Kina, with the same silly smile and reaction on her face.

“Do you even know who I am…?”

Slowly asked Kenny, with a slight pain in his voice, having his hopes up to not be recognized.

Then, Kina placed both of her hands on Kenny’s chin, which was a massive red-flag for him, but

he just cruised with it, not wanting to hurt her feelings.

“My dad’s worker, did I guess right (chuckles, showing her perfect white and aligned teeth)”

Replied Kina, making some distance between her and Kenny, after which she took out an

orange from her left pocket and started peeling it with the tip of her fingers.

“L-let’s start with this, do you have a boyfriend that I should be aware of…?”

Slowly asked Kenny after he took another big gulp of water.

“I actually do, why are you so interested all of a sudden?”

Continued Kina, with a serious look on her face, now, like she felt bothered holding this

conversation with Kenny.

“What’s his name?”

“Alex was it… or Bogdan, NO! It waaaaas Polo, exactly, Polo (smiles)”

*What’s up with this girl, man, does she even know on what planet she is?*

“Does your father know about your current boyfriend?

“Does… he have to know?”

Replied Kina, finally having the orange peeled, after which she slowly separated it in pieces.

Kenny sighted, gently tapping the tree’s base with the back of his head; Staring at the moving

leaves through which a glimpse of hope came through the portal of the mortals, reflected on his

face.

A slightly cold breeze hit them both, which gave Kenny the reinvigoration that he needed.

The conversation remained silent for a few seconds, after which, Kina lighted up a cigarette.

Kenny’s had enough with the surprises so he didn’t even mind it, even though he wasn’t a

smoker and he despised all of them.

Slowly after, Kina re-started the conversation with brand new questions and Kenny answered all

of them. Bothered, unbothered, annoyed, not annoyed. Even if he thought that most of the

questions were pretty stupid or silly, he still enjoyed talking to Kina, slowly understanding that he

was falling for her.
