Chapter 2

     Marry Goldman was said to have been held back twice, and according to people he hears in the hallways, Marry herself has confirmed this but Miz didn't care. The only gossip that piqued his curiosity was about her being in a gang, and how she always carries around a pocket knife and bear mace. Marry is also known for being violent in everything she's included in so Miz has to make sure he's smart about his next moves. 

     The only issue at the moment was the time. It took him sixteen minutes to wiggle his way to and from Mrs. Norfman seat, which left him with fourteen minutes but Marries seat is in the back and on the opposite side. He might be able to slide his way there but if they reach the destination before he can army crawl back he'll be in a world of pain. Miz didn't really feel like getting his face kicked in so he started to make a plan to pickpocket Miss scary Marry.

     Ten uneventful minutes passed before people started to wake up. The teachers got lucky because the calm, quiet kids were the first to wake up, giving the teachers a brief moment to regain consciousness. Lee was one of the last kids to wake up, with drool running down his face, and a visible cold sweat from sleeping a little too well. The screeching bus was filled with the sound of yawning children, all on them ready to start chaos. As the buses came to a halt, they gathered their things so they could make a run for it. They just didn't expect the teachers to make a shield with their bodies to stop the kids from spilling out of the bus.

     That's when one of the teachers made an announcement with a booming voice. “Everyone will leave this bus in a single file line, just like a flowing river. Anyone who makes a fuss on the way to the building will have to sit on the sidelines and watch the other kids have fun. Do you understand me?” The kids stood up straight, one behind the other, just like a bag of bread.”sir yes sir.” The kids fearfully yelled back, hoping not to lose the fun day they were promised.

     Lee looked like he just got out the ringer, drool still on his face, his hair going every which way, one eye crusted close, his shirt hanging off one shoulder, and his backpack getting dragged on the ground. Miz felt bad seeing him like that, he had no reason to feel this way towards Lee but he knew he could also use this to his advantage. Miz whispered into Lee's ear.”We should go into the bathroom to clean you up.” Lee looked at him surprised, but gave him the biggest smile.

“If you're willing to help me I'll gladly go.” Miz just stared at him emotionless. He didn't understand why Lee was so happy about him offering his help, but Miz didn't give it much thought since this could be a chance for him to steal the pocket knife. 

     The students slowly trudged off the bus like lifeless dolls. With how slow they were walking, a five minute walk turned into an eight minute walk to the owl sanctuary. With how obedient they were the passing people thought the children were secretly androids having new commands being put in them. The teachers heard the passerbyers whispering this crazy idea, and it made them break out in laughter. The kids have never heard the teachers roar with such laughter before, it put a small smile on their face because it meant that the teachers were humans after all, and not some sort of androids who were built to suck the fun out of everything.

     Once inside the building Lee and Miz hunted down Mr. Rasberry like a lion about to pounce on its next meal. Swerving and swishing passed the jungle of children. At this point Miz had a very small smirk on his face, because this means he can put his plan into action. If he played his cards right he could pass by Marry and every so swiftly take the knife, he would just have to find her and watch out for her lackeys. Good thing Marry was taller than the other kids, it made her easy to spot. Marry was in the middle of the kid river. Miz just had to time everything right, so as not to get caught and pummeled into the ground like a piece of gravel. Miz and Lee glided to the middle where Marry stood, giving Miz a three second window to get the knife, three two……one. He just barely nicked it, almost dropping it, until someone slammed into him, helping him clutch the knife with a death grip, in which he escaped scott free. Absolutely no evidence that Miz was the one who stole the SWITCH ARMY KNIFE, dammit that isn't what Marry was supposed to have. But this could work out Miz hoped. Miz and Lee were 3 ⁄ 4 the way through the maze of kids when they heard Marry yelling about something missing, but they couldn't make out what she was yelling so angrily about. Miz gave a small chuckle thinking about what she was yelling about. Lee had noticed that Miz was laughing about something, he had a small idea that it had something to do with Marrys yelling but he wasn’t going to show Miz his interest in the violence that was unfolding not too far from them.  

     Lee had a darker side to him that no one knew about, it’s been so long that his parents forget about how violent he can be. After almost killing his family in their sleep he decided to hide this side of himself and act like a sociable angel, but that doesn’t mean he's an angel deep down. There was a sinister demon in him, trying to claw out everyday just barely being kept down, its claws getting sharper with each ascent it takes, its voice getting louder and louder with each succulent suggestion it gives Lee. But he had patience that matched the gods, and refused to show any sign of his sinister demons. The further they got from Marry and her violent outburst about her missing blade the steadier his heart would beat. Lee really wanted to go watch the fight but he was already on a mission with his new mysterious friend Miz, and he was WAY more interested in getting to know this person. Lee wanted to learn about any and all possible desires Miz's demons could be whispering in his beautiful ear.    

     Lee couldn’t take his eyes off of Miz, the thought almost made him drool with excitement, his eyes gleaming with anticipation, his hands perspiring with ecstasy. Lee has never met anyone who was so quick handed when it came to stealing. Lee has absolutely no idea what is going on, but he had a feeling that the ride was going to be the most fun he has ever had in his life. A sinister gleam crossed into Lee's eyes as they got closer to Mr. Rasberry. The two having to fight tooth and nail through the crowd of rowdy kids hyped on sugar, just barely made it to Mr. Rasberry.  

     Lee and Miz looked like they had been ravaged by a pack of wild animals. Mr. Rasberry was a little worried for them, for he has never seen anyone go into a crowd fine but come out looking like zombies. With their hair all over the place and their shirts so ripped to the point of looking like rags they picked up from the trash. Lee and Miz looked at each other and grinned mischievously before dramatically hobbling over to Mr. Rasberry. Mr. Rasberry gave a little chuckle at the two zombie shuffles. They abruptly stopped in front of their teacher and gave him a quick salute as if all the hardship they just went through never happened. Then both boys asked in almost perfect sync, with voices just loud enough to be heard over the zoo of kids behind them, ”Sir may we go to the bathroom please!” Mr. Rasberry was shocked at how nicely they asked.

     With a kind smile on his face he gave them permission. Lee and Miz smiled at each other and gave a sigh of relief.” Oh boys, since you're still here I just wanted to give you a heads up that I will be leaving after telling some of the other teachers you're going to the restroom.” Mr. Rasberry said with a faint heartbeat smile. “Is everything okay teacher?” Lee asked, a little concerned. “My wife called when we got off the bus and said she's been throwing up, and needs some help watching our son.” Mr. Rasberry said with a sad sigh. “I hope they feel better soon.” Lee said with an understanding look on his face. With a serious look on his face Miz said. “Make sure to buy lots of food and water on your way home.” Miz didn't like many people, but Mr. Rasberry was someone he looked up to. “Thank you Miz, I'll make sure to. I'm just glad I decided to drive my car here.” Mr. Rasberry said this with a smile on his face, and within half a second he was off to let the other teachers know he was leaving.

     Lee and Miz chuckled at Mr. Rasberry rushing to get out of this chaos. After a little stretch the two boys made their way to the mens room.
