He approached the group, his hands shaking with excitement. They looked at him warily, unsure of what to make of this stranger who had appeared out of nowhere. But as he spoke, as he told them of his journey, they began to listen. And then, slowly, they began to smile. They welcomed him into their group, their family.

But even as he settled into his new life, Victor couldn't shake the feeling that something was still out there, lurking in the shadows. The creature, the one that had haunted his dreams for so long. He knew that he couldn't ignore it, that he couldn't pretend that it didn't exist. He had to face it, to confront it once and for all.

He does not back down.
