THE gentle breeze pranced through the sky as the small waves crashed into one another. Sand glistening as a new day dawned. The hazy clouds scattered throughout the sky, while chatter was heard in the distance.
“Ay Jonny! What yer' doing out here this early morning?”
“Good morning, Paco,” the young lad shouted with a smirk on his face, “just coming to take an early morning swim, maybe a lil surfing?”
“A'right” Paco said raising his eyebrow. Paco was a dark-skinned fellow. He had cocoa brown hair with streaks of grey silver in-between. He was also very old, old enough to be your grandpa! He's been working at King Kor beach resort for as long as Mother Mary was alive.
Jonathan, also know as Jonny, jogged across the seashore. The sunray shone upon his creamy dark cocoa brown skin, his hazel green eyes simmering in the sunlight. The sight of him taking off his shirt was one of the seven wonders. He dashed towards the water and dived in. Jonathan was an excellent swimmer, his hands crashing into the waves as he swam.
After a good, few minutes, he rose from the water. Huffing breathlessly as he ascended more and more out of the water. His majestic, wet curls held his handsome face with care.
By the time he had gotten out of the water, the sun had fully risen.
Visitors were already entering the beach, claiming their spots with haste. Across from where Jonathan was standing, three gorgeous, young women were staring at him, whistling and hissing with hunger in their eyes, looking as though they were ready to pounce at him. Jonny slowly crept away as if he hadn’t seen them at all. He quickly put back on his shirt and sprinted back to the beach booth
“Here ya' go” Paco called as he handed Jonathan a towel. Jonathan quickly dried himself and handed back the towel. He then gave a deep sigh,
“That was a good bath”
Meanwhile, Paco stared at him and nodded at the statement. Paco then smiled and began,
“Gettin' them girls I see, sonny boy” Paco said raising an eyebrow and smirking at him. “I remember back in my day I used to get all the ladies. Flooded by girl and constantly asked for my number was troublesome hah!”
“I don't know...” Jonathan replied with an unsure look. It wasn't the first time it had happened. Truth be told, he was never interested in relationships and always ignored girls when they tried to hit on him. He tried not to think about it a lot but was always reminded when his friends got into relationships and his mother and sister jokingly annoyed him with the topic.
Just then, someone’s shoulder touched his. He turned in confusion only for it to make his eyes turn wide. A beauty that he had never seen before, had walked past him at the entrance of the beach. He stood there in astonishment as his cheeks turned a maroon colour.
Jonathan and Leon met each other on Kong Kor beach during the summer vacation due to an incident. From that, friendship bloomed.
The seeds from the flower fell and started to grow, will they blossom into something more?
