What Can Money Not Do?

In the meantime, the kept secret of what occurred between Yetunde and the father of Segun…the billionaire politician of Ibadan was almost a done deal. All but, a factor was about to dig out the matter afresh despite the time lag.

In actual fact, it is only the woman of a born child that can confirm the real father of her baby. A spouse can tell the story of her encounters before she gave birth.

Life is complex. There are things that are beyond our imagination when it comes to the rearing of children. The society today is full of vagabonds.

Most troubles with some families are the off-springs of right children being fathered by wrong fathers unknowingly. The child of another man can never behave correctly when being nurtured by a different, questionable vicar. Only the woman can determine the correct father of the child in her hands.

As a result of moral decade in the society, vagabonds are on the increase. It was a great pity that some women have given right babies to the wrong fathers intentionally due to their infidelity and unfaithfulness for reasons.

The child of a strange man outside will be brought home by the wife for rearing under the roof of an innocent husband unsuspectingly.

Can you imagine….The child of Oba River given to Osun to father! It is definitely not proper. But, who will be able to detect what went wrong?

In truth, the child born for Segun by Yetunde named Junior resembled the grandfather too much. Even a blind man can sense it lucidly. The child ’’Junior ‘’ from day one was like a second copy of the great politician.

The baby was as if Segun’s father vomited him from the mouth. The boy Junior without any doubt was a duplicate of grandpa. When you look strictly at the boy it would be as if you are observing a small physique of the grandpa. But, how come! It was too absurd to behold.

However, the born-child was feeble. No doubt about that and nothing to gossip for.

This was alarming and amazing to every member of the family. None was bold enough to blow the whistle or raise any alarm.

Yes, a child can resemble any of the parents. And sometimes, it may not. There may not be any specious approach when the born child took after the parents, any of the grandparents or the great-grandparents as well. It all depends on the handiwork of nature.

 Every born child must and will resemble someone in particular. But, there must not be any shady deal involved, infidelity or adulterous act by the mother along the line.

No child can claimed two living fathers. Likewise, there are no children without a biological father.  Only that such a father may not be known or be far away!

To be candid, when a child is born, only the mother can confirm the real father. We are living in a more complicated world these days where the real plain truth has become a scared commodity.

The troubles encountered by pregnant woman can never be reported through the hubby.

‘’The person that swallowed mortal will not sleep or rest comfortable ‘’ says an adage.

He who destroyed the house of swaps definitely invited troubles for himself.

‘’Who will prevent the furious flood of Ogunpa from carrying sand into the rivers?’’

Therefore, Junior resembled someone within the family of Segun. That is Ok, the distance is not farfetched. No problem in that, no hassles as well. The storm should be made to rest inside a big cooler.

Obviously, Segun the bonfire father of Junior too noticed vibrantly well the close resemblance of the boy with his father from head to toe. However, he failed to attach many negative meanings or impression to it in any way. He never raised any eye-brow at all.

 After all, Segun too was the true youngster of his father in resemblance and body build-up. The only area of difference was in the skin complex. Both Yetunde and Segun are dark in complexion like the grandmother. But Junior was born with fair complex and smooth skin like that of the grandfather.

The nature cannot be blamed for such outcome. Who will be bold enough to question God of destiny on any issue at stake in life?

Essentially, everyone cannot sleep and face the same direction. Things may not go well that way. Some people are highly gifted among women who can interpret or read unusual meanings to certain things in life.

The grandmother was not comfortable about what was happening as regards the closed resemblance of Segun’s son with her hubby which was too suspicious and obvious.

On detecting what she saw as a rebel, Segun’s mother took a bold step for clarification of the deadly act.

The woman questioned her husband if there were any romantic love affairs between him and Yetunde, the wife of their son.

The ace-politician waved off the allegation outright.

‘’Ahaaa! How can I descend so low to that level…Will I be-little myself… Trust me…Nothing of such, dear!’’

Segun’s father told his wife jokingly. 

‘’Baba Segun; I know you to be a lion that is usually interested in eaten fresh meat’’

The grandmother responded to her husband.

‘’But not like this one, a horse does not eat the grass underneath it’’

Segun’s father replied with a serious smile.

She was bamboozled and cajoled!

But, If the person talking is a fool, the listeners must be wise.

The gains in lies cannot be missed by the two people involved!

The politician scooped his wife with series of other pending matters so as to dismiss her allegation.

 Really, there may be an element of truth in every rumour!

Thereafter, the case was closed and buried finally. Nobody referred to it again in the whole universe.

‘’There is nothing strange again. Nothing to raise your stress or engaged unnecessary worries.  If you are too concern about issues of life, it can lead you to untimely grave experience.

Therefore, learn to take life as simple as possible. The highly exposed politician do admonished his wife and followers on different occasions.

Those who failed to give their minds rest do suffer high blood pressure on the long run.

Oh Yes, the world cannot end like that. Nothing on earth can make the heaven to fall…impossible!

Fear can kill. Therefore, never allow the fear of anything get you down. Tomorrow will come no matter what today may be speaking. Pleasant or unpleasant!

And when the toil is over, today will become yesterday and every incident therein becomes history automatically.

We may be writing the history now, but later will shall be the history that other people will be talking about…That is life for You!’’

Indeed, you could take Segun’s father for a church Pastor or one of the highly rated motivational speakers of our generation. He was a man of many colours and shades. He was a bookworm and a workaholic. He owns a very big library with stock of books worth over 2billion dollars.

No individual in the whole of Nigeria has such an asset like the Ajorosun man. He got many awards and honours from the nation and international organisations because of his versatile and genuinely.

Recently, the Baba Halleluiah Olowo Ibadan earned a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy from The Nation Open University. He had money, people and books. He planned to establish a radio station for Yetunde that will be named Rejoice FM. The registration of the proposed radio station is already in progress anyway.

 What can money not do? Is there any question that money cannot answer in this country?
