“HURRY UP!” Leon's mother yelled from across the living room. Leon cursed under his breath as he struggled to get out of bed to use the bathroom.
“Why did I even bother to come? ” he groaned while rolling his eyes.
The time he took to reach the bathroom seemed as though he was walking from the beginning of the Great Wall of China to the end of it. Then, it took him an hour just to bathe.
Leon’s mother, Ms. Rosaline Fiallo, a tall, vampire-toned woman with piercing crystal blue eyes and an angry resting face, spun open the bathroom door.
“Leon!” she exclaimed, “do you have any idea what time it is? We're going to be late, I want to reach there early boy!”
“Yeah yeah” he answered with a pissed expression. He quickly got dressed and headed to the car.

On the way to the beach, Leon stared out the window, wishing to go back home. He then closed his eyes.
‘BANG' Leon’s head hit the window as his mother pulled the brakes.
“What the fu-” Leon began
“Watch your language boy!” his mother cut him off, glaring back from the front seat.
Leon grumbled. His mother always stopped him from cursing even though he was an adult.
He hated many things, and that was second on the list.
“Wassup Leon! Hi, Ms. Rosaline!” Leon's best friend since childhood, Cindy, chirped. She quickly entered the vehicle at the front passenger’s seat. Subconsciously, she looked behind her and chuckled at the sight of Leon's expression made.
Cindy was a short girl around the height of 5’2. She had scattered freckles all around her body, especially her face. She was fair skinned, the mixed colours of salmon and tan. She had bright, protruding, honey brown eyes that put on a smile on almost anyone. Her hair was copper and her ADHD always got the best of her.
“You good?” she sniggered with tears forming in her eyes, ready to burst out laughing in the most hysterical way possible.
“Please, Cindy” Leon pained, “it's too early..” .
Cindy turned back around, trying to suffocate the laughter. Rosaline just rolled her eyes and drove off, finally back on track to go to the beach.
After what felt like an eternity, they reached the beach. They all gathered their stuff and walked to the entrance. Cindy kept teasing Leon as he got more and more aggravated. He stomped ahead, ignoring that he had bumped into someone.
Cindy ran after him and paused as she reached the person Leon bumped into,
“Sorry!” she apologised as though she did it, and then continued her catch.
Jonathan and Leon met each other on Kong Kor beach during the summer vacation due to an incident. From that, friendship bloomed.
The seeds from the flower fell and started to grow, will they blossom into something more?
