Liam fell asleep pretty fast, he was tired and Carter's smell made him feel less stressed about being in a bed with a half naked man. The alpha on the other hand couldn't say the same, he was nervous about the whole thing, he wasn't sure what he should do. Should he release more pheromones? Should he try to cuddle him and hold him close or should he avoid touching him? Damn it! Why did it had to be so complicated? Having so many questions made him feel uneasy, but there was one question that made it a whole lot worse: Would he worry this much if the omega was female? Probably not and that isn't good. The alpha knew he won't be sleeping anytime soon so he looked at his fiancé. He remembered how the omega blushed when he saw him shirtless, he tried to hide it, but he was red up to the ears so it was easy to notice. Carter knew how nervous Liam was about making him uncomfortable so he pretended he didn't see anything, it worked, the omega was now sleeping peacefully. A part of him was happy to see the younger man turn red only from the sight of him in boxers, it made him feel very attractive, but another part of him felt bad for the guy, because he wasn't sure if he could ever return the feelings if the omega ends up falling for him.

Their relationship was a complicated one. They both wanted different things in life and got tied together thanks to a one night stand. Sometimes the alpha wishes he could have controlled himself that night and maybe buy some suppressants for the omega. They could have been good friends, but the baby made things harder. Now they had to learn to be parents, get married, get mated and show some kind of fairytale romance to the world so both of them can be safe. Carter also wanted to help his partner feel better about the situation, but it wasn't an easy task. It felt like Liam was walking on eggshells around him sometimes, he was comfortable with hugs, but other than that he always seemed worried he might step over some boundaries. The only time he remembers the omega standing up for himself was when he asked him about marriage, but since that day he has been kind of nervous around him and might have felt like a burden. It made the alpha sad, but he wasn't sure what to do, he tried to stay calm, but at the same time he didn't want to lie about his worries about the relationship.

He didn't have any problem with male omegas or gay people, but he didn't know many male omegas and he never considered dating the same sex, let alone mate them. One of his friends, Gina was a lesbian and she was one of the nicest people he knew, he saw the things she had to go trough for being a beta and liking women and felt bad for her, he knew his relationship with Liam would be judged less harshly, but it still won't be easy. He wasn't sure how he will handle homophobic remarks and people calling Liam derogatory terms he'll most likely be pissed just like that time at the jewelry shop. But this wasn't what worried him the most, it was his sexuality and the fact that he had to mate Liam. He had no clue how to properly do it with a guy, but he managed to do just fine at Luca's party. Sure his rut clouded his mind, but he still had sex with a guy and enjoyed himself enough to make him pregnant. He knew he had to do it again, minus the pregnancy of course, he had to sleep with Liam, but he didn't know how. He thought of asking Theo, they were best friends for a long time and Carter was pretty sure that dude was a 100% gay, he never officially came out, but he was never interesed in women and always pointed out guys he found hot. The thing stopping him from making it happen aside from the sheer embarrassment is the fear that he might discover something about himself, Theo will ask things for sure and he doesn't know if he has the answer or maybe he is afraid of the answers. He always thought of himself as straight, but if he can enjoy sex with a male omega for the second time he might have to rethink some things. Could he be bisexual? Could he fall in love with Liam? What if the omega won't fall for him or simply thinks the alpha only says he likes out of pity? Could they ever work as a loving family?So many questions, but he has no clue about the answers yet.

The alpha keeps his eyes on the omega. He watches him taking deep breaths. He looks so peaceful when he is asleep. His strawberry blond hair is around him on the pillow, he thinks the special hair color suits him well. His skin looks soft and it looks more healthy now than last time, his lips are quite full for dude. He has some freckles on his nose and across his cheeks, they are light but visible. How did he not notice it before? His small body looked like he could brake it. He didn't see the omega's belly, hopefully he can one day. He smiled at his fiancé who still smelled like peach.
