Read World of Evolution :: Rock Turtles

Arriving at the wall they climb the tower, Ren looks around and sees large turtles laying around the wall, each of them looking like they have boulders as shells. He turns to his dad and asks "What are they? How strong are they?"

His dad explains that they are rock turtles, relativly peacful but their Blood Energy level is at a staggering level 150, making them hard to defeat. They travel in large groups and graze upon any farmland available.

"We must keep them out of the wall to ensure the farmlands survive." one of the guards says.

Not long later they all head out to a nearby building, his dad explaining that this building is where they butcher the bodies to sell them.

Laying in the middle of the room is a giant rock turtle, Ren excited grabs his dagger and asks if he can try buturing it. They let him, shortly after he goes over and efficiently starts buturing it, as his dagger peirces the flesh he feels the dagger warm up but then go cold again, this happens once more as he finishes up. After finishing he sees "Cooking skill has leveled up to level 8." The adults around look in shock as the kid swiftly butchers the animal, he was on no level as the resident butcher but was more efficient than any of the others in the army.

"So that warm feeling is my dagger getting stronger." Ren thinks to himself. Darrel walks over patting Ren on the back saying "Maybe you'll qualify for this years survival training, its a three day long trip outside the wall teaching a trainee skills required to survive out in the wilderness. I'll put your name for the entrance test" Darrel grins at Ren putting a thumbs up.

Ren smiles back as he puts his dagger away, looking at the turtle beast laying infront of him in parts.

Everyone headed back for the wall this time preparing to leave the wall and fight the rock turtles.

The soldiers form a party of five including, Ren, Darrel (A wind element user), Don (An earth element user), Nadia (A combat healer) and Ruth (A rough and scout), everyone agreed that since the compat power and strength of these turtles are no stronger than muscle energy level 20 there would be no great risk to Ren and at the very least they could all help him escape.

Not long after the discussion the five left the wall and faced a small group of three Rock Turtles. All the soldiers spring for action except Ren, quickly they slowly wore out the turtles till they perrished.

Ren paid attention to how they fought, seeing his dads use mof wind control allowed him to not only catch foes by suprise in close range combat but also attack at a distance, his muscle energy easily at level 120. Don was left further back handeling defence by conjouring walls of rock when needed and drawing the turtles attention while taking many hits, Ren found it difficult to guage his strengthdue to the use of earth elements enhancing his durability. Nadia used her quick reflexes to stay in the battle, unable to deal any damage she stayed close to Darrel and Don healing them almost instantly when they where injured, this show of talent meant that if she had a more combat oriented power she could easily beat his dad. What amazed Ren the most was Ruth, she was increadibly fast and powerful, she easily hid here body allowing her to avoid detection and landing multiple hits and killing two of the rock turtles without a single injury while the other three slowly chipped away at the one, with speed, physical strength and powerful abilities she was easily the most powerful in the group.

Ren helps his dad and the others move the turtles into the wall for butchering, as he dragged the turtle with his dad he sees "+15 Muscle energy EXP." every second for the five whole minutes it took to drop of the dead bodies of the turles to the butcher.

Ren stays behind wanting to help butcher the turtles, he quickly got to work with the resident butcher's guidance. Feeling his dagger grow warm and then quickly cool again, he butchered two rock turtles before it was time for home.

On his way home he looks at his status with disapointment, unable to complete the quests given to him.

Upon arriving home he quickly eats with his family before turning into bed, laying on his lumpy matress he weirdly feels comforty quickly falling asleep.

His vision is filled with a blurry white light as it clears up he sees a figure infront of him. The figure talks "You have done well to improve as much as you have. The monsters of this world can rarely have what humans call them, Soul Cores, these soul cores improve the monser who has one. The boost a monster recives makes them nearly unmatched in their entire species. I warn you now that there is a soul core among the rock turtles, this core has given the rock turtle epic level earth elements, a blood energy level of 500, the skill Restoring flesh and the skill Improved Natural Healing. Its defences and natural healing is on the same level as a pheonix, be careful chosen one." Once the last word was said Ren found himself awake in a pool of sweat. He stood up and breathed trying to calm his mind. "I need to improve to become more helpfull." he said to himself under his breath, quickly grabbing his dagger he proceades to nick himself, seeing "+20 Blood Energy EXP." he smiles and continues this fourty times till he sees "Blood Energy has leveled up to level 6."

Ren nicks himself again seeing "+16 blood energy EXP." he continues, keeping a steady pace. As the sun rose and sun fills his room he sees "Blood energy has leveled up to level 7." he also sees "Improved Natural Healing has leveled up to level 3."

Ren smiles as he goes to wash up as small amounts of blood start slowly seeping from his body. He meets his dad outside ready to head to the base, his dad explaining that todays plan is to exterminate the rock turtles due to the food shortage the town has.
