The Long Road to Healing

Time had passed, and the scars of the past were slowly beginning to heal. Adrian, now a successful novelist, sat at his desk, staring out the window as Lila, his partner and P.A, sat beside him, typing away on her laptop.

Adrian’s thoughts drifted back to Aria, wondering how she was doing. He knew she was happy with Max, but a part of him still longed for her. Lila sensed his distraction and turned to him with concern.

“Hey, is everything okay?” she asked softly.

Adrian took a deep breath before responding. “Yeah, I’m just thinking about Aria. It’s been a while since we’ve spoken.”

Lila nodded understandingly. “You two have come a long way since then. You’re both happy now.”

Adrian nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Lila. She had helped him see that there was more to life than just Aria.

As the days turned into weeks, Adrian found himself focusing more on his writing than his past relationships. He was content with his life now, surrounded by people who cared about him.

One evening, as they sat on the couch watching the sunset, Lila turned to him with a curious expression.

“Adrian, can I ask you something?”

Adrian nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation.

“Do you think you’ll ever write about your time with Aria?”

Adrian hesitated before responding. “I don’t know... maybe someday. But for now, I’m focusing on my current life.”

Lila nodded understandingly. “I think that’s for the best.”

As they sat there in silence, Adrian realized that he had finally found closure. He was no longer consumed by thoughts of Aria; he had moved on and was living in the present.
