The number one place to meet a high-end celebrity is a high end the gym. The gym that Aliza went to was in particular the fanciest of it all. On one side there was Aliza who was doing any and every workout that was humanly possible hoping that she could work out her insecurities away, on other corner there was Candance who was just working out the parts that she had to show off as long as her tummy is tucked in everything else is in the right place she was fine she didn’t take it much seriously, not that she had to she was a gorgeous women through and through and then there was Jiya who just showed up there with a glam team, camera crew and branded gym outfits that left little to the imagination and not really comfortable to work out in.
“Looking good there Jiya” Candace commented in between her knee push ups, she looked over at Jiya who was getting her hair blown out in between shots of her pretending to work out.
“You are looking not so bad yourself; did you get even more taller?” Jiya joked, Candace was a tall woman around 5’7 feet and it was a well known part of her brand.
“Oh please if I was any taller I would loose my job, you know how many men are insecure to work with a girl who is taller than them”
Candance surely got rejected a bunch of times due to her height for sure and it did annoy her to a point.
“Wasn’t your last movie with Rayan?” The new film that starred Rayan and Candace came out sometime ago and Candance was still doing pre release press tours here and there the movie did really well once again helping both of them claim the spot as one of the most desirable pairing in the big screen.
“Yes but Rayan is taller than me and besides I don’t think he is the one to be insecure if anything he is too full of himself” Candance rolled her eyes, she did knew Rayan better than anyone else in the industry.
Jiya glanced at Aliza who was working out in the corner.
“So did you hear the rumours?”
“Oh boy did I it’s like the only thing everyone seems to be talking about these days we didn’t get a moment during the press tour to talk about the movie while being flooded by questions about Aliza.
“What do you think I did, I obviously played along I want to sell tickets I am not stupid and if talking about Aliza is going to get me that then that’s obviously what I should be doing right?”
There was a hint of annoyance in Candance’s voice.
“You don’t seem to be pleased with that” Jiya remarked.
“Well its nothing personal, it’s just that I worked hard to get here and still the pretty little star kid get’s all the press at my press tour without not even being there seems a bit unfair don’t you think?”
Candace did have a point. But Jiya didn’t like the fact that she was implying that it was all Aliza’s fault when it was not it wasn’t her fault that people wanted to hear about her.
“Well Aliza is lot more than a pretty little star kid you know I mean look at her amongst all of us she is clearly working the hardest” Jiya looked over at Aliza who was still going at it with no hint of stopping.
“I guess you are right but its unfair that people like me had to struggle to get here meanwhile her fame was handed to her in a silver platter when she was born” Candance rolled her eyes there was a clear frustration in her voice and a hint of something else- jealousy.
“Struggle? Weren’t you scouted at a beauty pageant when you were a teen? You didn’t even had a different career path or a job before this”
Jiya remarked as Candace sounded a bit hypocritical.
“So it was still hard for me my parents are not celebrities and you are the one to talk you didn’t even go to collage” Candace said dismissively.
“Well you do come from a well of family and you were heavily supported by a big production house throughout your career, you give three flops and one hit movie every two years and face zero criticism you live with your parents have shorter working hours you don’t have the pressure of making money on your own and is loved and adored by the public just for not having famous parents and not only do you have privacy in your personal and professional life you got to use your fame to promote people in your family and it paved way to their own fame, you made enough money to start your own business and you get to be called smart even without trying and called kind just by being nice during interviews
meanwhile Aliza went to a ivy league made a stable career for herself left all that to come back here made it on her own gives two hits and get criticized and flat-out blamed for the mediocre performance of one films and is constantly judged, fat shamed, bullied and criticized for every aspect of her life both professional and personal gets rejected from projects because nobody wants to work with a star kid, she lives on her own dose extra work to pay her own bills, spent half her time travelling working and gets the some time she has in the gym and reading only to be called stupid and called show off even when she dose charity criticized by her own fans for taking breaks or having cheat meals yet you say she had it easy? Just because your privilege is invisible doesn’t make it non-existent”
Jiya let out a sigh as she finished off her rant.
“Ugh harsh much” Candance rolled her eyes.
“Admit it Candace I am a star kid at her worst and you are an outsider at her worst I didn’t go to college but did you?” Jiya asked.
“I am an engineer you dumb bitch” Candace said harshly.
“So is every other person in the industry”
Right as Jiya said that Rayan walked in.
“Case and point” Jiya said gesturing at him.
“Rayan what are you doing here?” Candace asked in a huff.
“I came to pick up Aliza” Rayan shrugged.
“You know she has a car, right?” Jiya asked.
“Yes” Rayan said in a ‘isn’t it obvious’ kind of way rolling his eyes “But it was raining so I thought I would come down here so that-”
“So that you could hold an umbrella for her?” Jiya asked confused.
“Now that’s privilege” Candace said.
“Agreed” Jiya exclaimed.
