Metro tunnel, Ardonia City

8th january 2159

Darius opens his eyes and sees water dripping from the ceiling of the metro tunnel above him. He moves his head and sees the light falling on him from a hole in the ceiling. Darius comes out of the metro station and looks at the destroyed city.

Darius (questions) - what happened here? …..(remembers) Right. If that was all real, Everyone must’ve moved away because of those beasts. Right?

 Darius tries to remember more, but fails to recall any of his memories.

After roaming around for some moments, he finds himself alone in the city.

8th february 2159

Darius roams in the city. He is exhausted from surviving headhunters day by day.

The look of frustration is etched on his face. He picks a pack of chips from a street vendor and opens it and starts to eat. He looks at a little rock and picks it up.  In Anger, Darius throws a rock at a shop, breaking the glass. As the glass breaks, A boy, Around the age of 10 comes out of the shop’s door and looks at Darius; they both smile seeing each other. Suddenly, the boy's father appears with food; seeing Darius he becomes furious and throws rocks on Darius in order to eliminate any chances of Darius stealing their food. somehow Darius manages to make his escape and runs. 

Child’s Father (shouts) - If you wanna survive, move in the direction of the dome city. There is a survivor camp at the end of this city. Those left outside the dome are there, just don't come here again or I'll kill you myself.

Darius runs from the scene and stops at a far distance.He begins to process the information he has got he took the information with a pinch of salt as to why the one giving the info is himself not moving there, However one thing is clear, everyone is in the domes, he hope sarah reached there too, but he has nowhere to go, so he decided to move to survivors camp. 

15th february 2159

Darius walks in the jungle, A hunger of a Days is visible on his face, he feels cold, as all the machinery is stopped from being operated and zero heat emitted, cold winds started to flow. 

THE WINTER THAT NEVER STARTED THIS EARLY HAS STARTED.

Darius in a dire condition sees a house from the middle of a jungle, smoke coming out from the chimney. Watching it, with a smile, Darius tries to move toward it but collapses due to exhaustion.

Darius, in an unconscious state, sees an old man taking him in the wooden house.

Darius wakes up and finds himself in the house having medicine on his bed. He hears the voice from oldman.

Oldman -  You wake up. Wait! Don't eat those medicines in an empty stomach, eat the soup first.

 He eats soup and medicine. He now feels better, He feels like home.

Oldman - So why are you roaming around in this Dangerous place?

Darius - I am moving in the direction of the dome city, where at the end of this city there is a survivor’s camp somewhere. I'm going there. Survivors who didn’t make it to Dome cities are living there. 

Old Man - So the story is still going on ha? no such place exists. It's just a fairy tale made by survivors. (Darius and Oldman look at each other).

Darius - A Fairy tale?

Oldman - yeah! the place you are talking about is surrounded by lots of those beasts, however, I’ve heard rumors of this as well, I can’t confirm if any of it is true or not?

Darius - So you don’t know?

Oldman - well I have a theory, most of the survivors use this to deflect those who are not dear to them, to protect the one who are dear to them. They give people like you, HOPE to cling to, And in most of the cases this hope ends up in the mouth of those maneaters. Many of those die alone with nothing but leaves and trees of the jungle. You’re lucky.

Oldman sees the look on Darius' face.

Oldman - You don’t look very satisfied.

Darius - I mean you said that you can’t confirm this?

Oldman - Well many people passed by this route, many of them stated that when they reached there they would come back to help others like me and take us to Camp, well they never came back. Secondly, why would some person tell you to move to camp when they are not moving themselves.

Darius - Hey? How do you know that someone told me to move there?

Oldman smiles.

Oldman - Well you can stay with me if you want.

Darius nods.

Darius - What’s your name sir?

Oldman - Edward leon.

15th March 2159

A Months passed and Darius now helps Edward in day to day work, collecting fire woods and other stuff, Edward notices lack of motivation in Darius, He throws a block of tree and hits Darius in the stomach.

Edward (Chuckles) - You really need to have some juice in those muscles.

Darius - But how?

Edward (Smiles) - Let’s see.

Edward gives him some training to build stamina and strength and most importantly to teach him to live again, And later starts teaching him meditation and some martial arts.

September 2159

After 6 months of training, Darius is doing much better than before. He is way more active and healthier than when he met Edward.

Darius - Hey, oldman?  How are you so good at teaching these things? I made it here in just a few months.

Oldman - I have served in the Arga military and I had a daughter to whom I taught all the survival and fighting skills, as she was an enthusiast about it.

Darius - So where is she now? 

 Oldman refuses to give the answer Darius comes to the conclusion that she is dead now.

8th september 2159

2:00 pm

Darius and Oldman were coming back from wood collection and Darius sees the headhunters at the house, destroying it.

Darius (Panics) - Those B..b..beasts, They are here.

A headhunter sees right in Darius' eyes.

Oldman - Darius run away, I’ll Hold them

Darius - What I can’t leave you all on your own, you’ll die.

Oldman pulls out his shotgun and starts shooting the headhunters.

Oldman - I am not planning to stay here, I’ll create a Distraction you run and then, I'll be on your back.

Darius - what do you think I am, an Idiot?

Old Man - Look kid, we will not be surviving this if we both stay together, but if you go first I am sure I can get away from here pretty easily.

Darius - Ich, Fine, I am going, you better be coming. 

Oldman shoots his gun, creating a distraction, using which Darius escapes. Oldman looks for a suitable moment to escape as he shoots. As he runs to escape, 3 Headhunters come in his way, He shoots them in the head not, knowing that gunshot sound would lure more headhunters. He sees more headhunters coming. They attack the oldman but the oldman manages to make his escape somehow.
