"So I think your head is on fire...."
"Excuse me??? Are you okay? Do you need help?" The man says taking another puff off his cigarette. 

"O-oh nevermind." Zen laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh by the way, Kid." The man says standing up. Throwing his Cigarette to the ground and stepping on it. "Do you think i'm stupid?"

"N-no??? What?" Zen says stepping back alittle. gulping abit. 

The man steps forward in front of him. "The fact you can see the flame means your one of them. A reaper. Way to give yourself away."

Zen grits his teeth and clentches his fists, "SHIT! That was so stupid!!" He says to himself looking up at the guy. "H-how the hell do you know about reapers??"

The man smirks and cracks his knuckles. "Ya think Avarice wouldn't have some kinda security? Wow you must be NEW new. Come with me kid." He says with a small chuckle, Snapping his fingers, Sending them into a void of darkness. 

Zen gasps and looks around him, Noticing a darker than black aura around the man, His eyes going full red, A smirk with sharp teeth appearing on his face. His skin turing a red color, Horns growing on his head.  "T-this guys strong... Extremly strong... Who the FUCK IS HE!" He says to himself breathing heavily. Stepping back looking around, Seeing nothing but pure darkness. 
"My name is Sezrus. One of the three ancient ones. Can't be surprised Lucifer never told you about us. We were his first demons created. And more powerful than any others."

Zen's eyes widen, as he starts trembling. "M-more powerful than the sins?"

"Well I wouldn't say that. But we are close. They WERE created by the creator of all.. Avarice and I are almost even though"

I-I thought Lucifer created the sins though??" Zen says nervously. 

"He told you that? There's alot you don't know."

"Why are you telling me this??"

"Because, You are weak. Lucifer has sent many of you "Sin Reapers" over the millenia, And each one has failed. YOU will be no different."  Sezrus squints at Zen looking him up and down. "I do sense potential in you though. Lucifer did something.... different this time."

Zen raises a brow. "Different? He just gave me reaper powers didn't he???" 

"No, When he creates Sin Reapers takes something from another source, Sometimes he infuses souls with the power a pure demon, Sometimes he takes another reapers powers and mixes it with the soul.  You though... I can't pinpoint what he used this time.... You are an inigma... May I know your name Reaper?"

"Oh... I'm Zen."

"Well ZEN, Come at me. If you can't beat me there's no way you can beat Avarice."

Zens fear subsides, Turning into overconfidence. "You said I was special right?" He says walking forward as he walks forward, Summoning his twin scythes. Spinning them as he smirks even more. 

"You're getting a big head, You haven't even fought have you?"

"I've gone up against Lucifer himself and lived. That's all I need to know... You're ass is getting KICKED"  He says throwing one scythe at Sezrus. 

"That overconfidence will be your down fall fool...." He says catching the scythe that was thrown at him. Using the chain to pull Zen towards him, Punching him hard in the stomach, Zen coughing up blood. "L-lucky shot." He says holding his stomach, gritting his teeth. Getting back up and running at the ancient one, Slashing at him with his scythes. Sezrus dodging everyone of his attacks, 

"TO ME!!!" Sezrus says, A giant crow appearing above them. Zen looks up in surprise 

"Is that a crow?!!" Zen says confusedly 

"He is my familiar, Archemedes. Archemedes, ATTACK!!" Sezrus says pointing at Zen, 
"Aw crap!" Zen says as he starts to run, The giant crow divebombing him with ferocious caw, 
Zen rolls to the right, Trying to slash at it with his scythes, His attacks missing. 
The divebombing continues as Zen continues to dodge. One of his slashes finally connecting with the bird, It cawing out in pain 
"Yes! Got a hit!" Zen says continuing to run. 

"You can't run forever Zen. Remember if you can't beat US you can't even DREAM of taking down Avarice, Let alone any of the other sins!" Sezrus yells to him, Disappearing and reappearing in front of Zen, Zen skidding to a stop as the crow does another divebomb.

"Shit! I'm surrounded!" Zen thinks to himself looking at them both. Sezrus sending a punch his way, Zen trying to dodge but gets clawed in the back by the birds giant and sharp claws. "AUGH" Zen screams out in pain, Sezrus sending a punch to his face, The punch connecting with a sickeing thud, Zen being sent flying to the ground. 

Zen coughs up more blood, Sitting up and looking at the two, Archemedes flys over him. Sezrus walking forward, His black Aura growing stronger. "It's as I said, YOU. ARE. WEAK"

Zen grits his teeth breathing heavily, Starting to feel anger well up inside him. "If I fail here... I can't see my family again... I'll be sent to a void just like this.... I won't get the redemption I NEED!" 
His eyes glowing red as a purple aura appears around him. "I WILL SEE THEM AGAIN!!" He screams, A small roar can be heard behind his voice.

"I'll kill you!!!" Zen says, Disappearing and reappearing behind Arechemedes kicking the bird to the ground with a giant thud, Stabbing it in the head, The bird cawing in pain before diappearing in a puff of smoke

Sezus stops walking and raises a brow. "So Anger brings out the demon in him.... Lucifer what have you done..."

Zen screams louder as he runs quickly at Sezrus, Much quicker than before. Zen sends a flurry of slashes and kicks towards him. Sezrus dodges in surprise. "He's faster and stronger than before. I sense a dark prescence in this kid..." He thinks to himself as he continues to dodge. "I need to end this now." He disappears and reappears in the air. 
Zen angrily looks up, His eyes now blood red. "Get back here!!!" 

Sezrus waves his hand, Hundreds of dark energy spears appering around him. "You let your emotions take over your mind. You are nothing but an absolute child given too much power." 
He says, Directing the spears at Zen. Zen smacking alot of them out of the way with his scythes. 

"RAAAAAH!!!!" He screams as he smacks more away. The flurry feeling endless.

"Time to end this farce" Sezus says, Creating a bigger energy spear Zen can't dodge, 
Sending it straight to Zen, Zen tries to dodge but it follows. His anger subsiding and turning back into fear. 
"N-no. no no no!!" He screams running for his life, The spear piercing through his stomach, Zen screaming out in pain as the spear runs right through him. Blood streaming like a waterfall from the wound as he falls to the ground, Bleeding out. 

Sezrus lands back onto the ground next to him. Looking down at him with disdain. "I warned you Zen, Your overconfidence would be your downfall. You cannot beat Avarice. You cannot beat me. Give it up before you die again. You're lucky I took mercy on you." He says snapping his fingers, The two appearing in an alley near the Destroscape entrance. 
"Get yourself patched up. And give up on this Sin Reaper buisness. Before you lose yourself to the darkness that Lucifer put inside you." Sezus says before disappearing. "I-I can't.." Zen says weakly, Passing out. 

Above the city we see Nava looking for any sign of Adonis or Zen, 

"Ugh they could be anywhere." She says in frustration. The voices in her head telling her how much of a failure she was. 
She grabs her head again as she flies. "Shut up!" She screams. The voices subsiding once more. 
She continues to look around the city, Spotting a bloodied and beaten Zen on the ground. 
"Bingo!" She says with excitment "Lord Lucifer will be so pleased! Hey may not be too happy that he got beat up so bad though...." She says landing next to him. Grabbing his arm and flying back up. 

"Holy crap he's heavy!" She says trying to carry him as best as she can to an abandoned building not far from Destroscape. 

We see Zen as a child, Surrounded by his parents and sister. All of them having a great time. 
It was his parents anniversary and they were celebrating. "Happy Anniversary!!" A young David and Lillith shout to their mom and dad. Giving them a card. Little David runs to get a candle, gently lighting it and running over to the table, Only to trip, The lit candle falling into his mom hair, Her head bursting into flames, She tries to put it out but is unsucessful. 
The flames reaching their father as she ran, Catching him and little lillith on fire as well. Their screams echoing in little David's ears. Little David tries to pour water on them but to no avail, "David...RUN!" His mom says as the kitchen is set on fire. Her body going limp as she fell to the floor along with Lillith and their father. Little David stares in horror watching helplessly as his family was burnt alive, The house falling apart around him. Little David screams in terror. 

"NOOOOO!!!" Zen says as he wakes up in a sweat, having a nightmare while unconcious. 
Nava walks up to him and blinks confusedly.

"Must've been having on hell of a dream." Nava said sitting next to him. Handing him a popsicle. 
"Want one?"

Zen looks around dazed and confused then looks at Nava. "W-where am I?? Who are you??? Where's the other guy???"

"In order, I am Nava, A fellow demon who just so happened to be in the neighborhood! Nice to meetcha! Were in an abandoned toy store, And.. What guy??" She tilts her head with her left eyebrow raised. 

"T-there was this guy, Red skin, Black hair and wings, Pointy eyes." Zen says holding his head. "Ugh..." 
He then looks down at his stomach. "Wait... I'm okay??"

Nava shrugs and chomps down her popsicle. "Demon regeneration is one hell of cure all. Who was this red guy that stabbed you like a mafia boss?" She says poking his arm. 

"O-oh... his name Sezus. He called himself one of the "ancient ones" or something" 

"The ancient ones??? Those three were always just legends passed down to us demons in hell" She says squinting at him. "I'd better let Lord Lucifer know about this..." She says to herself. 

"Well apparently those legends are true." Zen sighs and lays back, raising his fist and looking at it then at Nava. "I'm Zen by the way."

"Trust me, I know who you are. You're a popular guy in hell right now! Chosen by Lucifer himself! She says giving him a grin then a headpat. "Nice to formally meet ya!"

Zen chuckles and closes his eyes. The images in his head haunting him. "Nice to meet you too Nava... Thank you for saving me."

"Gotta care for my fellow demons when I can!" She says all bubbly, The voices in her head once again being loud, telling her how much she hates him, She smacks her head on the floor, The voices subsiding once again.

Zen looks over with a confused look. "uhhh... you good??"

"Yes! I just had a bug on my head!" She says with a fake laugh then looks away. 

"Okaaay then..." He says blinking then lays back down. "What a total disaster. I hope Adonis is having better luck than I am" He says to himself.
