Time - 7:30 PM

(On a new year eve , a family of four , returning home after a new year picnic , dad driving, mom in co passenger seat and both brothers sleeping in the rear seats , tired after enjoying the new year.

     Suddenly the brakes failed in the car , thecar's speed was above 100kmph , dad couldn't control it, the car crashed in the tree understeering . I lost consciousness after the impact, after that i woke up in a hospital gaining the knowledge that my whole family is no more,"leaving me alone in this world of 7 billion people")

 -------- New Beginning ----------

         Present - 25th march 2024

The sun rises , sunrays on the face and a voice 

"Take , wake up, today you mustn't be late"

Aunt sawako , she's Take's mother's friend. She's the one looking after Take since the Incident.

   Take wakes up and hurries to the kitchen

"Aah the alarm clock didn't work, we need to replace it aunty" while stuffing grilled bread and coffee in his mouth, ofc coffee was lukewarm , just how he liked it.

 "Have a good day"says sawako while Take leaves for his 1st day at his new school.

On his way to school, excited to meet new friends but little did he know how one of the new faces will change his life forever.

  "Hey ayase , c'mon lets ditch school and go to a cafe baby" two students from different school asking ayase out. Take watching while hiding behind the utility pole , though he was late for his 1st day , he thought he would save this troubling girl. Went forward without a thought"ayase san ,so you were here , I was searching for you" said Take . He didn't know her full name yet, only heard her surname from those two boys so he could only use that, ayase caught on to what Take was doing, she replied "ah , sorry for troubling you , shall we go" with a little smile.

Ayase - Thanks for that , they have been troubling me for some time now . MY NAME IS AKI AYASE , nice to meet you

Take - huh , Take koizumi . 

Aki - koizumi san , are you new at seiko academy 

Take - yes , i am a transfer student, i transferred from tokyo to here

Aki - oh , thats nice, tokyo huh. 

Aki looks at her watch, they were about to be late

Aki - well then i am going to be late, see ya later

Take - uhm , see ya. 

Take also hurried to the staff room to meet the class teacher (rika nogizaki)

         Rika took Take to the class 3-B , said " you ready for introduction?, take it easy, take a deep breath while i call you out, I'm going in "

"Okay" said Take

   Rika - all right class before we start anything 

I have something, more like someone, a new transfer student, be good with him okay, Come in! 

Take opens the door , facing downwards , nervous, excited, what type of classmates he will get.

Take - hi everyone, my name is Take koizumi , i am from tokyo , I'll be under your care , thank you.

 Take lifts his head up , seeing his new classmates, he smiled .

Rika - so , where can you be seated huh, go seat near aki , bottom left seat near the window.

"Huh" aki looking shocked and happy to see Take sitting near him.

"Lets do our best this year" said aki to Take

"Um, sure" Take said

"Hey" a voice came from front, " i am Saku, Saku kazehaya , lets be friends" 

"Sure" said Take . 

    Soon after some classes it was lunch break

Saku- hey Take , lets go to the canteen before its too late

Take - why? Is there something to rush for?

Saku - you don't know, the cafeteria's yakisoba bread and curry bread are super yummy 

Take - heh , you sure do love to eat 

   In the cafeteria they met a crowd of students 

In a particular area, it seems like a girl was surrounded by those students. Take wondered what was the situation 

"Ah that, Ayase san sure is popular" said Saku.

It was Aki , surrounded by students who wanted to spend time with her during lunch break.

       The day ended after few more classes 

"Well then, see ya Tommorow bro!" Saku said smiling, "yeah" said replied

  On the way home Take was called by his aunt to buy some groceries on the way home , so he proceeds to the nearest market from the academy, while shopping he meets Aki again 

'i should avoid her, as popular as she is, i can't stay near her with my introvertness' he thought, when he was about to turn to leave Aki was standing right infront of him

Aki - heya 

Take - huh! Ayase san 

Aki - what are you doing here? (Aki says grinning)Were you stalking me?

Take - i am just here for grocery shopping 

Aki - hey , wanna try the new flavoured icecream they just launched?

Take - i am sorry but i have to go

Aki- (to the ice cream vendor)Excuse me sir, can i get 2 icecream 

  Aki- here , try it, as a thanks for saving me this morning ( giving one icecream to Take)

Both eating the icecream and Walking towards their home when aki said

"Hey koizumi kun , don't you think its fate that we're complete strangers but still met 2 times today, its gotta be fate right" smiling to Take's face .

"Yeah , you must be right " said Take with a slight smile

Aki - well then , i will take the bus from here 

Take - oh okay, i will walk, my house is not that far

Aki- then , see ya Tommorow koizumi kun

Take - um , bye 

    " Ah, you are so late, what were you doing?" said aunt sawako , "i was waiting for the ingredients to make dinner you know "

"Sorry aunt, i was hanging out with a friend" said Take

Sawako - heh, so you made a friend huh .

Is it a girl? Is she cute huh?

Take - argh , thats why I don't tell you anything 

Sawako - aww c'mon, i am interested in love talks

Take - i don't love her, we just met today , and i also made a male friend 

Sawako - introduce them to me sometime if you can okay?

Take - okay , now can i eat?

Sawako - nope , not yet, go wash up , the dinner isn't ready yet.

        After taking a bath and having dinner Take went to sleep. 

  Again it was the same nightmare 

Take was having nightmares of the incident that took place on new year , an 11 year old scar , a scar till the rest of his life.

   The next day Take woke up early, ate his breakfast and left early for academy, on his way he met Saku 

Take - yo

Saku - oh, yoho Take , how you doing? What ? Dreamt about any girl? Huh?

Take - no (feeling a bit down due to nightmare)

I am going ahead 

Saku - wait Take , did i do something, I'm sorry bro .

Take - nah ,c'mon hurry or else we're gonna be late.

They both hurry to their class room.

        As they were entering their class , they could already see a small crowd of students near Take's seat

Saku- probably ayase san, her popularity is growing day by day 

Take - must be tough being with so many people around you.

Saku - ah i forgot you were an introvert.

 

         They both take their seats .

"Good morning koizumi kun"

It was Aki, "ah, yes good morning" Take replied 

"Heh, did something happened when i wasn't't there?" Saku said grinning.

"Shut up , the teacher is here" Take replied 

The classes were longer just like usual and then it was a free period 

Saku - oi Take ,wanna play basketball 

Take - sorry , i have to decline, i am not good at it . I am going to the library 

Saku - do you even read books?

Take - i read manga though

Saku - huh, fine , but bro you gotta do something to stand out, otherwise you are not going to find any girlfriend.

Take - well i can't say anything about that , i will try in the future. Well then later.

       Take went to library , grabbed a seat and started reading something, he was so deep inside the story that he didn't realised that Aki was sitting next to him , after he completed his manga he then realised he was sitting near her

"Yo Mr Otaku Koizumi" she said

Take - AYASE san! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?

Aki - shhhhh, keep quiet , it's a library

Take -what are you doing here? 

Aki - i can't come to library?

Take - no , i didn't mean that

Aki - so , Mr otakun what were you reading?

Take - ah , 86

Aki - 86?

Take - its a story of a continent where people fight with huge war vehicles ........ they can be controlled by humans.........but due to some mishap the kingdom which made these ..........ones are discriminated from the silver hair ones, the silver haired ones make these coloured haired....... 

        Take went on explaining the story, and Aki kept listening to his story 

"And then"as Take was explaining 

"Hey otakun , you really love anime and manga huh" Aki interrupted.

Take thought' oh , again i let my otaku side get revealed, what if she thinks its creepy'

Aki - you know having a hobby isn't bad at all and to show that needs more courage, thats what i like about you otakun . (Said Aki grinning)

"Well then , i gotta go, i have my math class now , bye " said Aki as she left the library 

   Meanwhile Take was just taken aback, it was the first time someone has not said anything negative about him or his hobby.

Take was a bit red, like he was a bit shy, more like blushing.

      Classes ended, everyone went home including Take.

     Take was laying on his bed , remembering the words Aki said to him

    'thats what i like about you otakun'

Her face came in his mind

"Aahhh , how am i gonna greet her Tommorow" thought Take while covering his face inside his blanket.

"Take , dinner is ready" aunt sawako called Take for dinner.

At the dining table 

Take - hey , aunty 

Sawako - mhm , what?

Take - nothing.., just something was on my mind 

Sawako - all cleared up then?

Take - uhm

Sawako - alright then, finish your dinner and go wash the dishes, tomorrow i gotta go to work early in the morning, so i will sleep early 

Take - okay .
