Silent Storms

Unexpected Closeness

Unexpected Closeness

Jan 21, 2025

Minjun found himself still staring into Haruto's intense blue eyes, his heart racing uncontrollably. The proximity seemed to make it impossible for him to find the right words. His mouth opened, but all he could whisper was Mr. Sato as he tried to speak.

Haruto's face was inches from his as he leaned in closer and whispered in a husky voice, "I told you to stop calling me Mr. Sato."

The rich, timbre of Haruto's voice sent shivers down Minjun's spine, he could feel the warmth rising his cheeks. Haruto's hands remained on Minjun's arms, steadying him as he regained his balance, but the touch lingered longer than necessary.

"I-I'm sorry," Minjun finally managed to say softly, his voice barely above a whisper. He could hardly process the closeness, the warmth, and the intensity of Haruto's presence.

Haruto smiled gently, his dimples adding a touch of warmth to his authoritative demeanor. "No need to apologize, Minjun. Just remember, it's Haruto."

Minjun nodded, trying to regain his composure. "Thank you, Haruto."

Haruto's hands slipped away slowly, and Minjun could feel a strange sense of loss at the absence of his touch. They stood there for a moment, the atmosphere charged with an unspoken tension.

"I'm going to get dressed before we begin your training," Haruto said, moving towards his closet.

Minjun quickly responded, "I'll give you some privacy."

Haruto turned to him, a look in his eyes that Minjun couldn't quite place. "No need for that. Continue cleaning the room," he commanded, his voice firm yet gentle. "You can stay."

Minjun's heart raced even faster as he nodded, feeling a mix of nervousness and curiosity. He resumed his cleaning, trying to focus on his tasks while Haruto dressed in front of him. The sight of Haruto's toned muscles and glistening skin was both captivating and disconcerting, making it difficult for Minjun to concentrate.

As Minjun continued his tasks, his mind was a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions. He couldn't shake the strange feelings that had surfaced during his encounter with Haruto. Why did being so close to him make his heart race? Why did he feel a warmth that he couldn't explain?

Minjun's thoughts spiraled as he tried to make sense of it all. "I'm not interested in men," he told himself firmly. "I've never felt this way before. So why now? Why him?"

He fought against the confusion, trying to push the feelings aside. But every time he thought of Haruto's intense gaze, his deep voice, and the warmth of his touch, the feelings resurfaced, stronger than before.

"Focus on your job, Minjun," he muttered to himself, trying to regain control. "You have a role to fulfill, and you can't let these strange feelings get in the way."

Despite his efforts, the thoughts lingered, leaving Minjun in a state of inner turmoil. He knew he had to find a way to navigate these emotions while maintaining his professionalism. This was his new beginning, and he was determined to make it work, no matter the challenges.
