After everyone recoveres the cheif tells everyone to relax for today before the competition tomorrow morning.

In the morning they quickly swarm to the areana, Ren and the other seven trainee's file into a waiting area as a board lists the first, second, third and forth fight.

Ren and Amanda are first, quickly Ren looks at Amanda to see her specific strength.

Ren looks with suprise thinking of how she could pass all of the other tests.

The cheif walks in and asks for Ren and Amanda to come to the areana. Ren and Amanda head to opposite sides as the cheif introduces the two breifly before yelling "Begin"

As the cheif yells out ren draws his dagger, Amanda calmly sees him draw his dagger as says "You've been impressive but here is where you finish." as the last word sounds fire bursts from her body as they cover the area. Ren smiles as he quickly dodges whisps of flames but ending up getting a few small burns, but they quickly heal. Deciding to charge Amanda Ren dives into the fire instantly disapearing from view. Every second he was in the fire he could see his Heat resistance go up by 1%. After emerging from the fire twenty seconds later Amanda was stunned and quickly felt Ren's dagger slice into her with ease.

Ren looks at amanda and says with a smile "Unfortunatly your out, soon poison will afflict you and i will move onwards." his body covered in wounds but many are healing at a visible rate. the cheif calls the battle over and declares ren the winner. As Ren walks off the stage Amanda slowly hobbles over and asks "My fire isn't that strong but how did you make it through the wall of fire?"

Ren turns to Amanda and responds "Your fire is strong dont say it's not just i have a much higher Blood energy level than everyone here and i can withstand attacks from intense heat and violent poisons." Ren responds lying as he thought he would loose the battle when the fire started pouring out of Amanda in the battle.

Releved ren returns to the waiting area, nearly an hour go past as the cheif brings through the others. After an hour the cheif places the new battles on the board and says to everyone "You have 10 minutes before we go again."

Quickly looking at the board Ren sees that he is up against Yome this time, he smiles as he looks at Yome to see his stats.

Compressed flare steel shield: Strength Teir 9, Resists fire element damage.

The cheif again does a breif introduction before yelling "Begin!"

As it begins Yome charges at Ren, as Ren draws his dagger and collide. Although instantly the crowd, Yome and the cheif where shocked as each of Ren's strikes not only had an increadible force behind them not decreasing at all but also easily sliced through the sheild quickly leading to Yome's sheild being turned into ribbons as Ren continues his assault, shortly after Yome is left with many scratches and small cuts along his body. Ren pulls back and provides distance before saying "See Yome i could have easily beaten you before, but i needed to show my abilities more publicly. Cheif can you bring the medics? he should be down in a few seconds." after ren finishes Yome feels a pain fill his body as each of his cuts throb. Quickly he falls to the ground as his eyes blur.

the medics quickly come over to treat Yome, Ren yells to them "It's only a minor poison but make sure to treat him swiftly, i don't want to lose a strong future team mate." Ren walks away swiftly, as the cheif follows him. The cheif pulls Ren to the side and asks "What's going on? first you run through flames with burns that swiftly healed themselves in minutes then your dagger easily tore his shield into ribbons and with a few cuts you managed to put him into a near death situation. After your last battle you and me will have a meeting, your display showed everyone that not only do you have potential but you can nearly be placed outside the wall and survive younger than the trainee's who have been hear two to three years." The cheif then walks away calling the next two. 

After thirty minutes vivian returns victorious and the cheif tells them to recover for 10 minutes before they battle.

Quickly the ten minutes pass and they are guided back to the areana for the finals. After a short speach the cheif yells "Begin!" Instantly an arrow is shot from Vivian, ren unable to react is shot in the arm. Whincing in pain he sees the notifications of "+1000 Blood energy EXP", "Improved Natural Healing has leveled up to level 9" and he sees his poison resistance go up by 1% every second.

Quickly Ren takes the arrow out and the blood from the wound almost instantly slows to a trickle. Ren yells to Vivian "Cheap trick, now your done!" 

Vivian looks in shock as the arrow is removed and he beins charging at her. Unable to do anything now the distance isn't enough she quickly tries to make distance only to realise that Ren is much faster than her and she is quickly left with a deap wound on her upper arm.

The battle is concluded and Ren is announced the winner. They are all given papers with their scores, Ren recived a total of 2000 points, He came third in the written test, he had highest speed in the second test, he was among the top eight in the third test and he was first in the competition. He also noticed that his poison resistance stopped at 90% and wouldn't increase even though he was still poisoned, but the poison was quickly eradicated once the resistance hit 90%.

After everyone left the area Ren walks into the main building to grab his stuff, as he was leaving the building Vivian stops him and asks "We are on the same scouting squad now, so you better tell me how you fought against the poison before or i will continue to poison you until your dead on the ground." Her face frowning and evil looking. Ren looks at her a smiles "Since we will be on the same team i will let you know. I have a skill that allows me to resist poisons." Still lying to her but trying to make it belivable.

After accepting the awnser she walks away as Ren returns home excited for the next few days off.
