Hmmm… such a beautiful dream and peaceful sleep… I yawned.

My yellow blanket was still wrapped around my entire body, giving me so much warmth. I opened my eyes and peeked from under the blanket.

Luke went to work already?

I stretched my forearms and my hind legs on his bed. As soon as I did, I tangled my legs in the sheets and fell down on the floor of the bed.

“Owww!”

My eyes widened and I froze.

Did I just talk?

I slowly put my hand on my mouth and I gasped. I lifted both of my hands towards my face.

I gasped louder and more shocked.

Human hands?!

I gasped again.

Human arms?!

I started to touch my body, feeling every cat part of me and came to realize…

“I’m a...?” I said aloud.

I rubbed my face with my hands and gasped loudly.

“I’m a human?!”

“How did I-...?”

I asked myself. I crawled on the floor with the blanket still wrapped over my entire body. I didn’t see where I was going until I bumped my head into something hard.

“Owww!”

I rubbed my head and sat down.

Slowly, I removed the blanket covering me. I watched as my reflection unfolded in front of the mirror. I still have my fluffy cat ears and my tail has come out. But my hair was blonde and I had no whiskers.

I could see how my eyes widened in shock at the human I was looking at.

My cheeks are a little chubby, wandering green eyes and plump lips. I was in awe of what I looked like. I grabbed my chest in surprise at the two big bouncy flesh that grew out of it.

“Are these what they call boobs?”

I wasn’t wearing anything at all. I’m naked like how Master Luke is when he goes in the shower. I looked down on my legs and my things in between. I tried to bend down towards my legs and I couldn’t do it anymore. I touched it and it seems nothing has changed.

What’s down there still looks like how it was when I was a…

“A cat. I’m not a cat anymore?”

I was utterly shocked again. But I noticed how my cat ears were flinching, and I could still hear things outside.

“No. Not entirely human. But…”

I looked at myself again. I slowly stretched my arm towards my reflection and touched the mirror. I touched my face and my reflection followed.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” I exclaimed.

“Wow!”

I was amazed at the sound of my own voice.

I then realized one thing; my wish came true.

"How did this happen?"

I don't know! But one person would be so happy to know his wish had come true too.

Luke… my master would be happy to know that I’m human. Finally!

Then the door opened slowly. He was humming while listening to his music with his earphones on. He hadn't realized he had passed me by since he was busy looking down on his phone.

He had his back on me and was so engrossed in his phone he hadn’t noticed me till now. I turned in his direction, sitting like I’m still a cat. Old cat habits, my tail started to move and my ears, exactly how it does when I see him.

But the only difference this time is that I can talk to him now.

He removed his earpieces and he kept humming. So, I decided to call his attention.

“Master?” I said almost in a whisper.

I saw how his body stiffened. He stood straight and slowly turned around. As soon as his eyes were on me, he backed away, almost falling flat on his ass on the floor, but he managed to hold onto the table. His eyes were wide in shock.

“Hi… Master… It’s me…”

I tried to move but he backed away further.

I got a bit of hurt, he looked scared of seeing me this way. I looked down on my body and realized I was naked and only my yellow blanket was wrapped around my torso covering whatever was down there.

I looked at him again, “Master, it’s me… your calico...”

Master Luke backed away even further. I felt hurt, I thought he wanted me to become human, and now that I am, he is scared of me. Now I want to become a cat again. But how?

I pulled my blanket up to cover my body and slowly felt embarrassed about being naked when I shouldn’t. I touched my ears, and it was still there. At least that means I could still be a cat.

I looked at my master, and he wasn’t talking, he looked pale as a ghost and was still in shock. And the most hurtful part was he was standing so far from me as if I was an intruder.

I felt tears forming and falling from the corner of my eyes.

“You wished for me to be a human, didn’t you? Now that I am-...”

I couldn’t finish my words. It was so painful. So, I pulled my blanket over my head and covered myself. I put my palms on my face to cover my eyes. I hope that this is just a dream, that I’ll wake up soon next to him.

He will pet me again and will give me hugs and kisses like he always does. I cried more now. I could hear myself sobbing. I was feeling all sorts of human emotions.

Then I felt his warm hand on my head. That made me stop crying. He slowly pulled the blanket covering my head. When I opened my eyes, he was staring at me with eyes full of wonder.

“Aya?”

He asked with so many questions in his eyes.

He removed my blanket to look at my neck. He touched the collar he gave me last night and he saw the pendant. He gazed at me again and there was so much wonder in his eyes now.

“You are Aya, right?”

He touched the collar around my neck again. His fingers were grazing my human skin and they were warm. It had always been that way. Tears started falling from my eyes again.

I felt it trickle down my human cheeks while I was staring closely at his face. When our eyes met, I saw the reflection of my eyes on them. It’s like looking into each other’s souls.

“You’re eyes," he whispered.

Master Luke’s voice was everything that I wanted to hear. I can hear him clearer than ever.

My heart fluttered. I could hear it drumming on my chest. I’ve never felt this way before towards my master. This is a human emotion. This is happiness. This is love.

“Yes, Master Luke. It’s me.”

I felt my lips quivering. He cupped my face and smiled his beautiful smile.

“You are my Aya.”
