Setting: San Isidro Penal Colony

The oppressive atmosphere of the prison grows heavier with each passing day. 

Miguel’s body is battered, but his mind remains sharp. 

He knows that brute strength alone won’t free him or his fellow prisoners. 

To escape this fortress of despair, 

he will have to play a far more dangerous game—one that pits the guards and prisoners against each other.

Miguel sits in the shadow of the courtyard, his keen eyes observing every movement of the guards. 

He notices their patterns: who patrols where, which guards are corrupt, and who has grown complacent. 

He even watches the prisoners, studying their temperaments and alliances.

Miguel: (to Andres in a hushed tone)

The guards think they hold all the power. But they’ve made one mistake—they’ve underestimated us.

Andres: (skeptical)

Us? Half these men have already given up, Miguel. How do you inspire men who’ve forgotten how to fight?

Miguel: (grinning)

By giving them something to believe in. We don’t just need to escape. 

We need to take the whole system down.

Miguel begins his plan by planting seeds of distrust among the guards. He overhears two of them, 

Sergeant Morales and Corporal Ortega, arguing over stolen rations. Miguel sees an opportunity.

One night, while on work duty near the guardhouse, Miguel sneaks a note into Sergeant Morales’s locker. 

It reads:

"Corporal Ortega has been stealing from your stash. Watch him closely."

The next day, tensions between the two escalate, leading to a public shouting match. 

The other guards watch uneasily, and Miguel smiles to himself.

Miguel: (to Andres)

Even the strongest chains break if you strike the right link.

While the guards are distracted by their own infighting, Miguel works to unite the prisoners. 

He starts with the small things—sharing food, helping the weak, and offering words of encouragement. 

He also targets key figures among the prisoners:

Mateo, the hulking brute from the fighting pit, who has grown disillusioned with the guards.

Carlos, a former revolutionary soldier who has been beaten into submission but still carries a spark of defiance.

Rico, a sly thief who knows every hidden passage and weak spot in the prison.

Miguel: (addressing the group)

We’ve all lost something here—our freedom, our dignity, our brothers. But together, 

we can take it back. They can’t fight all of us if we stand as one.

Carlos: (nodding)

I’ve seen men like you before, Miguel. Leaders. I’ll fight with you.

Mateo: (gruffly)

As long as I get to crush some skulls, I’m in.

Miguel’s plan is simple in concept but daring in execution:

Turn the guards against each other. 

Exploit their rivalries and corrupt nature to sow chaos among them.

Arm the prisoners. Tools from the worksite, hidden knives, and even rocks will serve as weapons.

Create distractions. Small fires, false alarms, and feigned illnesses will keep the guards off balance.

Seize the armory. With enough prisoners on their side, they will storm the armory and take control of the weapons.

Spark a civil war. Once the prisoners and guards are locked in chaos, 

Miguel will use the opportunity to escape with his closest allies.

Miguel: (to his group)

This isn’t just about escaping. It’s about making them pay for what they’ve done to us. 

We’ll turn their own cruelty against them.

The First Strike

The first phase of Miguel’s plan begins with a calculated act of sabotage. 

During work duty in the quarry, Miguel and Mateo “accidentally” cause a rockslide, trapping several guards.

Guard: (shouting)

Get this cleared! Now!

While the guards are distracted, Rico sneaks into the guardhouse and steals a set of keys and a map of the prison.

Rico: (later, to Miguel)

Got what you asked for. This place isn’t as impenetrable as they think.

Chaos in the Courtyard

Miguel escalates the tension among the guards by spreading more false notes and rumors. 

He convinces Rico to slip a stolen bottle of wine into Sergeant Morales’s quarters and 

plants evidence of theft in Corporal Ortega’s locker. 

When the contraband is discovered, it sparks a violent confrontation in the courtyard.

Corporal Ortega: (furious)

You think I’d steal from you, Morales?

Sergeant Morales: (shouting)

Don’t lie to me, you dog!

The argument turns into a brawl, and other guards intervene, choosing sides. 

The prisoners watch in stunned silence, but Miguel whispers to Andres.

Miguel:

This is the beginning.

Miguel knows that not all prisoners will follow him willingly. To solidify his leadership, 

he challenges the most feared prisoner, Santos, a ruthless man who has ruled over the weaker inmates with the guards’ blessing.

Miguel confronts Santos in the mess hall, his voice calm but commanding.

Miguel:

You’ve spent years crushing the weak, Santos. But your time is over.

Santos: (sneering)

You think you can take me, fisherman?

The fight is brutal, but Miguel’s cunning and resolve win the day. When Santos falls, 

bloodied and defeated, the prisoners erupt in cheers.

Carlos: (to the crowd)

This is our leader! Miguel will lead us to freedom!

The chapter ends with Miguel’s plan reaching its climax. Fires rage in the guardhouse, 

and the guards are too busy fighting among themselves to notice the prisoners arming themselves with stolen weapons.

Miguel: (to his allies)

Tonight, we take back our lives. Tonight, we rise.

As the prisoners prepare for the final assault on the armory, Miguel looks to the horizon, 

his heart burning with the promise of freedom and revenge.

The camera pans out to show the prison in chaos—fires burning, prisoners shouting, 

and guards scrambling to regain control.

Miguel stands at the forefront of the rebellion, his eyes filled with determination.

Miguel: (whispering to himself)

Rafael, I’m coming for you.

The screen fades to black as the sound of clashing steel and roaring flames fills the air.
