Konnie awkwardly standing while putting her hands out, a floating tailors tape extends and gets the measurements of Konnie, while Red takes notes with a concentrated look and sketches on what her outfit's gonna look like 

Red giggles and mutters to herself, Konnie quietly looks at Red with a concerned look on her face, Red glances at Konnie and her sketch 

"perfect!" she flips her book, showing Konnie the design she came up with

Konnie squints at it for a moment, her face unreadable. Unsure of how to respond, she forces a smile and nods "You like it...?" Red asks, her gaze fixed on Konnie

"Mhm, yep, I love it! But, um... why the cat ears on the hoodie?" Konnie replies hesitantly

Red tilts her head and looks at Konnie's hair and points at it "arent those your ears?"

Konnie quietly brushes her hair to the side and reveals her very human ears "thats.. just how my hair looks-"

"ohhhh.." a bit of silence fills the room and Red slowly turns the book towards her and quietly but slowly, adjust the design

"NO, NO, IT'S FINE! I DON'T REALLY MIND!" Konnie trying to get down from the stand, guilt slowly filling her up as she tries to stop Red.

"SORRY!!" Red yells, frantically erasing and sketching again as though her life depends on it

Minutes passed, and both Red and Konnie are quite exhausted, Red held up her sketch with a tired grin, her breathing heavy "Told ya I could do it. Heh... heh..."

the door swings open and a cheerful voice can be heard
"We're hooome!"

"oh heyy, welcome home~!" Red tilts her head back, lazily waving at the two

"what happened here..?" walking around Touma scans his surroundings to see the shop messy, as he makes way to Red, he puts out his hand and cold mist blows towards Red and Konnie

"Thanks, Touma.." Red patted his head affectionately. He glanced away, muttering, "Y-yeah, no problem."

Meanwhile, Akane crouched beside Konnie, poking curiously at her hair. "So... are these your ears?"

"Akane," Touma warns Akane with a bit of an annoyed look on his face "please don't do that."

not listening, Akane continues to inspect Konnie's hair "so.. are these your ears..?" 

Konnie chuckled awkwardly "I get that a lot."

Red stretched and stood up, heading to the kitchen. "No, Akane, they're not her ears. Just... shaped that way" She grabbed a pan, chuckling and muttering, "hah.. always as curious as a cat"

Akane leans in closer and still amazed tells Konnie "still pretty cool tho!"

Konnie chuckles and looks away, a bit flustered at the unexpected compliment

"oh by the way, we saw Jade on the way back here" Akane said, finally heading to help her mother

"yeah.. she was panicking" as Touma snickers while walking to the kitchen, with a smirk on his face "again"

Red rolls her eyes "forgot her staff?"

both of the siblings say "yep"

Red stops mid cooking, "wait.. what time is it..?"

"Noon. Why?" Touma replied, already pulling out a chair.

Red groans "oh.. no, forgot about that.. can you two checkup on Jade?" while pouring two glasses of orange juice

as the two were about to walk out, Red stops the two and asks "forgetting something..?" while holding the two glasses of orange juice

"oh, sorry!" Akane grabs it both and drinks both of them

Touma blankly stares at Akane and points "those... were for both of us-"

Red laughs a bit "its okay, I made an extra one just incase she drinks both of them"

"thanks." Touma sticks a popsicle inside the glass and freezes it

"okay have fun you two!" Red, waving at them as the two head out the shop 

Konnie quietly looks around, fidgeting her fingers and asks "uhm.. they seem nice" she awkwardly smiles "your kids?"

Red turns and looks at Konnie "oh! uhm, adopted.." as she grabs a drink for Konnie and herself, she takes a seat from across Konnie, handing her the glass of orange juice "..found them crying from the entrance of the lost woods, well.. Jade found them first"

Akane sobbing and holding on to Touma, Touma holds on to Akane's hand, making sure that she's safe, he scans around for any threats, a shadow glooms over them and Touma stands in front of Akane, his hands start to glow, as the air around them slowly gets colder

fortunately for Jade, Touma was too weak to cast any magic at the moment thus the air around them just feels like a light breeze, though, Jade just couldnt just leave them there, so she would run back to the village, a few moments pass and Jade comes back with a basket of pastry, and sits in front of the two

Akane holding on to Touma trembling with her eyes closed, Jade offers them some bread with a soft smile despite the tension, Touma hesitantly grabs, but doesnt take from Jades hand but rather from the basket infront of them, grabbing two and sharing it with Akane

Jade reaches out her hand and it soon starts glowing, Touma quickly grabs Akane, holding her close to him and using every ounce of magic left, he tenses up his body and protects her but notices that the wounds that they both have slowly start fading away, Touma's grip slowly loosens and Akane's tears slowly fade away, the tense air between the two slowly vanish-

"wait, how did you adopt.. them..?" Konnie tilts her head 

she coughs and glances at Konnie "I was getting there.."

Konnie looks down at her drink and quietly whispers, "sorry.."

Red quietly tailoring some clothes, quietly in her shop, as a distant quick thumping noise can be heard, her door suddenly gets kicked down as she gets jumpscared by Jade holding two children "PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THEM!" while screaming at Red and shoving the two onto her

all of her well arrange tools fall on the floor with her notes flying everywhere "W-W-W-WHA DONT YOU KNOW HOW TO KNOCK?!!?! WAIT WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE CHILDREN-" whilst screaming at Jade and holding the two kids

"and the rest was history.." she sighs and smiles

Konnie looks down at her almost finished orange juice, swirling it around, she looks up at Red and smiles a bit "they're pretty lucky to have you"

The door slowly opens "we're back!" Akane peaking through and happily waving

Red gets up from her seat, grabbing the empty glass from Konnie "welcome back you two, its way past lunch so why dont we go out and gets some food?" she grabs her coat and looks back at Konnie "cmon Konnie, my treat"

"Uh... I-I'm not really hungry," Konnie stutters while clutching her arm, Her voice trails off, unsure how to politely refuse Red's enthusiasm

Red rolls her eyes and grabs Konnie's hand "cmon, lets gooo!" while letting out a soft laughter

As Red flipped the shop's sign to [Be Right Back!], she locked the door and pocketed the key

 Akane and Touma stood nearby, already deep in a debate, Akane enthusiastically suggests the "Red Dragon" tavern 

Touma groans "isnt that the place where the food is so hot it practically melts your face off-... Can't we just go somewhere normal for once?" Red chuckled as she adjusted her coat "is there anything you two can agree on?" Turning to Konnie, she gestured for her to follow. "C'mon, you're part of this debate now haha, and again, dont worry, it's my treat"

Konnie slowly trails behind the group, and sees the two siblings arguing with Red happily listening to the both of them, the loud noise of the town slowly muffles as she focuses on the three, she gently smiles and happily watches, and at the corner of her eye

Jade was walking through the town with a man at her side, happily gesturing as she guided him along, she quickly spots the group, Jade waved enthusiastically. Her smile was as bright as ever

Konnie awkwardly waves back with a soft smile as she glanced at Red and the kids again, she happily catches up, and wonders "I wanna try the red dragon" Akane celebrates and Touma pouts "fine, but dont ask for help if the spice is too much"
