The sunlight seeped through the blinds of the classroom, casting long shadows over the wooden desks. Jin Tae-hyun sat slouched in his chair, one hand supporting his cheek, his usual bored expression glued to his face. The hum of students chattering filled the room, but Jin was zoning out as usual, staring blankly at the blackboard.
The guy sitting beside him leaned in, breaking the monotony. "Jin Tae-hyun," he said in a hushed tone, as if to share a secret.
Jin tilted his head slightly, one eyebrow raising. "What?"
The guy scratched the back of his neck. "Sung Woo didn’t come to school today."
Jin’s lips curled into a faint smirk. "Maybe he’s sick," he said, though his tone betrayed his unease.
The guy narrowed his eyes at him. "He’s not the type to miss school, you know?"
Jin’s smirk faltered, his mind racing. Was it because of me? The thought was fleeting but hit hard. He pushed it aside, forcing his smirk back. "That bastard. It’ll be great if he doesn’t come back. One less bully to deal with."
The guy next to him chuckled softly. "No way," he said, his tone almost teasing.
Before Jin could respond, the classroom door slid open with a loud BAM! A panicked student stood at the entrance, drenched in sweat, his chest heaving.
"J-Jin Tae-hyun!" the boy stammered, his voice trembling. "Some bastards are scattering through the school... They’re looking for you!"
Jin’s brows furrowed. "What did you just say?"
Before the boy could answer, another voice echoed from the hallway, smooth yet unsettling. "Found him," the voice said, a sinister smile lacing the words.
Jin turned toward the door, and a figure stepped into the classroom. The boy had gray hair, his grin eerily calm his expression reminiscent of someone who already knew the outcome of this encounter. Behind him, around fifteen other guys stormed into the classroom, filling it with an oppressive atmosphere. The ln-su looked around, his eyes cold and calculating. "This is Second Year Class 5, right the grey haired guy said?"
He grabbed the sweating student by the collar and delivered a brutal punch to his gut. WHAM! The boy gasped, doubling over in pain, but the gray-haired guy didn’t stop. He slapped him across the face. SMACK!
"Why aren’t you answering?" the gray-haired guy barked.
The beaten boy, his face bruised and swollen, whimpered, "Y-yes… This is the class…"
Satisfied, the In-su tilted his head into the room, scanning the students. Then his eyes locked onto Jin Tae-hyun. He stepped forward. "Nice to meet you, Jin tae hyun sunbae," he said, his voice mockingly polite.
Jin frowned. He’s not from my class… and he’s calling me ‘sunbae’?
"You need to come with us," In-su said, his tone more of a command than a request.
Jin’s heart raced, but he kept his expression neutral. Can I take on fifteen of them? His eyes scanned the group quickly.
The guy sitting next to Jin whispered nervously, "Jin Tae-hyun…" His voice was trembling, his fear palpable.
Jin stood up slowly, his face devoid of emotion. The gray-haired guy grinned, taking it as a sign of compliance. But the grin quickly vanished as Jin moved.
In an instant, Jin darted forward, striking the his leg with a calculated kick. CRACK! The sound of bone breaking echoed through the classroom as the leader flipped mid-air, landing with a sickening THUD! on the ground.
"ARGHHHH! My leg!" the gray-haired boy screamed, clutching his now-broken limb.
Jin stared down at him coldly. "If you insist on taking me, then let me ask you one question…" He stepped forward, his presence suddenly overwhelming. His aura seemed to darken, his gaze sharp and unyielding. "Can you handle me?"
The classroom fell silent, the air thick with tension. The students could only stare, their eyes wide in shock.
The gray-haired boy, still screaming in pain, tried to push himself up, but Jin didn’t give him the chance. Jin delivered a casual backhand blow, his body barely moving. WHAM! The leader’s face swelled instantly, blood pouring from his nose.
A large guy from the group stepped forward, grabbing a chair and shouting, "Die, you fucking retard!" He swung the chair down with all his might, but Jin was no longer there.
The chair hit the locker instead, bending the metal with a loud CLANG!
"Huh?!" the large guy exclaimed, confused.
Before he could react, Jin appeared behind him, delivering a devastating roundhouse kick to his face. BOOM! The large guy flew backward, crashing into the wall. The impact shattered the windows, glass raining down onto the floor.
Two more guys charged at Jin simultaneously. Jin smirked, leaping onto a chair and flipping into a handstand. The attackers swung wildly, their punches hitting nothing but air.
Jin pushed off the chair, flipping back down and delivering a powerful double kick to their heads. THUD! CRACK! The two collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
The remaining group hesitated, fear evident in their eyes. But then they all charged at once, yelling in unison.
Jin moved so fast it was impossible to track him. The classroom exploded in chaos as bodies flew left and right. BOOM! BAM! CRASH! Chairs toppled over, desks shattered, and the fifteen attackers were thrown across the room in mere seconds, their bodies crumpling against walls and furniture.
Now, only In-su remained. He clenched his fists, his face pale but furious. Jin approached him slowly, his steps deliberate.
In-su flinched as Jin’s fist shot forward, stopping just inches from his face. The sheer speed left a gust of wind, and In-su could only stand frozen, sweat pouring down his face. He couldn’t move—he couldn’t even blink.
Jin pulled his hand back, his cold gaze piercing through In-su. "Oh," Jin said nonchalantly. "You’ll clean this mess up." He turned back to his chair, sitting down as if nothing had happened. "Make sure you clean it up properly."
The vice principal, who had been walking by, peeked into the classroom. His eyes widened at the scene, but he quickly turned away, pretending not to see anything.
And just like that, Jin Tae-hyun returned to his usual slouch, as if the chaos had been nothing more than an inconvenience.
