Angel from Hell

Instinct and Passion

Instinct and Passion

Jan 25, 2025

The Russian streets were nearly empty, the cold air biting at their faces as they walked briskly into the unknown. With every step Dmitri took, Irina felt an invisible line folding behind her, cutting off any chance of retreat. His grip on her hand was firm, possessive, as though she belonged to him now—untouchable by anyone else.

They arrived at a small apartment in an abandoned neighborhood. Irina hesitated as she opened the door, finding the space dimly lit by a single candle on the table. The air was thick with the scent of burnt wood mixed faintly with alcohol.

Irina (nervously): "What is this place? Why did you bring me here?"

Dmitri stood behind her, quietly shutting the door before moving closer, leaving no room for even air to pass between them.

Dmitri (in a low voice): "I brought you here because I don't want anyone else to see us… This night is ours alone."

Irina was overwhelmed by a deep sense of unease, but it was mingled with something else—a pull she couldn't quite name but that ignited something deep inside her. She turned to meet his gaze, his dark eyes holding more than just words, something akin to promises that couldn't be resisted.

Dmitri stepped closer, raising a hand to gently touch her cheek. His touch was soft yet commanding, conveying everything he couldn't express in words.

Dmitri (softly): "You're beautiful, Irina… Beautiful in a way no one else can understand."

Irina swallowed hard, feeling the heat of his words pierce through her. She tried to speak, to ask why she was here, but he didn't give her the chance.

With quiet confidence, Dmitri shrugged off his coat, tossing it onto the sofa. His shirt, unbuttoned at the collar, revealed hints of taut muscles beneath, his movements a mix of ease and intensity.

Irina (hesitantly): "Dmitri… I don't understand what you're doing."

He moved closer still, taking her hand and pressing it against his chest. She felt the steady, powerful beat of his heart—a rhythm that seemed to mirror something unseen.

Dmitri (seriously): "Don't try to understand, Irina. Just surrender to what you're feeling right now."

In that moment, all the walls she had carefully constructed around herself crumbled. She felt something far greater than herself, something she could no longer control.

In the dim candlelight, their shadows danced on the walls. Everything was exposed—no masks, no pretense. It was like a silent dance between them, their gazes saying far more than any words could.

Dmitri leaned in slowly, his hand brushing along her face before pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. But it wasn't just a kiss—it was a vow. A vow of something bigger than she could comprehend.

Irina (her voice trembling): "Why do I feel like I'm drowning and flying at the same time?"

Dmitri: "Because you're finally seeing the world as I do."

Slowly, he bent to kiss her, the gesture beginning tenderly but quickly escalating into something fervent and raw. His arms enveloped her, grounding her in a way that made her feel like she was the only tether to his world.

In the glow of the candlelight, every barrier fell away. Their bodies moved instinctively, connecting in ways that transcended the physical. It wasn't just touch—it was a melding of souls, where neither could distinguish themselves from the other.

Irina shrugged off her coat, then her blouse, shedding more than just clothing. It was as though she was discarding everything that had ever bound her to her past. This wasn't merely physical—it was something far deeper. It felt like an unspoken promise between them, one that neither dared to voice.

Dmitri's hands explored her skin with deliberate care, firm yet gentle, as if to remind her: "I'm here, and I'm not letting go."

When the fire that consumed them finally subsided, they sat together on the floor, leaning against the sofa. Irina struggled to catch her breath as Dmitri watched her in silence.

Irina (in a faint voice): "What have we done?"

Dmitri: "What was meant to happen all along."

The room was heavy with unsaid words and emotions that neither of them could fully articulate.

That night marked the beginning of something new—something irreversible. They had crossed a boundary that now bound them together in a way that made everything more complicated, more dangerous.

"Was this love?" Irina wondered as she glanced at Dmitri, who seemed to hold all the answers yet refused to share any of them. "Or was this just another game of fate?"
