Gantz lifted the cloth a bit higher into Bear’s view.
Bear flapped his ears, as he wore a confused look. “What is that?” He then pointed at the cloth.
“It’s a huge tunic.” Gantz flipped the cloth and spread it, revealing a light brown huge tunic. It is so big that its hem almost reached the ground. “I tried buying the biggest one they have. If it fits, then good. If it’s not, then we can change it for something else.”
Bear accepted the clothes. Staring at it for some time, he then said, “Is this for Bear?”
Gantz snickered in response. “Well, isn’t it obvious? I don’t fit in that, and I don’t think you know what to wear to begin with, so for starters, we’ll have you wear a short-sleeved tunic. See if you’re comfortable with it.” Gantz glanced down to Bear’s lower half. “I don’t think you have to wear pants for now, it’ll only limit your movements because of how your hindlegs function. But if you want to wear one, then just tell me, okay?”
Bear flapped his ears.
Gantz prompted him to put down the bag and the sack first before putting in the tunic.
After Bear put on the tunic, Gantz orbited around him for a bit while he checked Bear. “Hm, the size seems to fit. It’s not too big or too small, and the fabric is breathable.” He muttered, while pulling the tunic on some parts, testing the fabric.
Bear just stayed still, allowing Gantz to perform his inspection. Even though he heard what Gantz said, he has no idea what Gantz was talking about.
“So, how does it feel?” Gantz finally halted.
Bear took another glance at the fabric he was wearing and commented, “A little bit uncomfortable, but Bear feel warm wearing this.”
Gantz smiled, before nodding his head and stepped back a bit from Bear. “That’s good to hear. Now then…”
Gantz’s smile broadened. Bear flipped his ears in response to that, now wondering what Gantz was thinking.
“Have you noticed the people around you eating something?” Gantz started. Bear looked around, towards the people who were enjoying something on the table.
“They were…” He took a second to guess. “Eating?”
“That’s right!” Gantz snapped his fingers and clapped his hands, as if Bear had answered a million-dollar question. Bear found it hard to understand Gantz sometimes.
“Which is what we’ll be doing next, eating! And it’s not fishes, you know?”
Bear stayed still, taking in a few seconds to process that information. Does that mean that the strange and delectable-looking dishes are edible?
Bear’s eyes sparkled in excitement.
