Soon I heard a knock on the door. I got out of the shower , changed my clothes into a towel and opened the door.

  I noticed that girl staring at me for a while. Her gaze seems so familiar but I can't remember where I saw those eyes. I broke the silence between both of us and told her to keep the food on the table.

  She served and went away.

  I got into the quilt and started thinking about Naina .

  I looked at the food , soon my eyes fell on a bowl of warm gajar ka halwa and I took a bite.

  Me: Hey, What's your favourite dessert? 

  Naina: I love halwa 

  Me: Which halwa ?

  Naina: Gajar ka halwa. It's my favourite. You know when I was kid, my hometown was located in a cold mountainous region . My mother used to make that often. The feeling of eating warm halwa in mountains is something else.

  Me: Oh really, When will you invite me to your place ?

  Naina: When we will meet in real life. One day I will take you there for sure and we will eat halwa together.

  Me : Fine , so it's a deal now.

  Naina : pukka Promise . It's a deal.

  We started laughing together.

  Soon I came out of my memories and heard a knock on the door.

  “Come in.” I said.

  “Hey, Jay bhaiyaa . I know why are you sitting here alone, you are upset na . Please don't mind. Raj doesn't know about your past” Sunaina said to me.

  “It's ok and I am not upset.” 

  “No, you are lying. I can look into your eyes. You still can't forget her.”

  I gave a small smile to her . 

  “Waise , I came here to inform you about our evening plans ”

  “I already know about them and I promise that I will definitely join you people.”

  “Promise”

  “Yes, promise,” I replied .

  I was resting in my room when my sleep broke from a knock on my door . I took a look at the clock and it was 2:30 p.m at noon “who could come at this timing.” I thought to myself.

  “Sir, your lunch is here.” 

  “Oh how come I forgot that I ordered food for my lunch in the morning itself.”

  “Sir please open the door ”

  “Ok” I replied and soon opened the door.

  She came and served the food on the table.

  “By the way, what's your name ?” I asked her.

  “I am Tia,” she replied.

  “Tia …hmm Nice name ”

  “What?” she asked me

  “Nothing” I replied with an expressionless face.

  “She is not my Naina. Oh! Jay , what a big idiot you are . How come your luck be so good ” I thought to myself.

  She was staring at my face with a confused look .

  “What happened? ” I asked 

  “NN..N ”she sluttred 

  “What nnn…?” I asked 

  “Nothing , I think I have seen you somewhere like years ago but don't remember where. ” she replied .

  “Oh really? ” I asked her .

  “Not , really. Maybe I am mistaking you for someone else .” 

  “Oh” I sighed 

  “Goodbye sir and have a nice day.” she replied to me.

  I gave her a short smile and nodded my head.

  She went away .

  I ate my food and after a while she again came to collect the utensils .

  “Hey, have you ever been to Mumbai?” I randomly asked her while she was cleaning the table.

  “Woh , actually I don't remember” 

  “What ?” I asked her.

  “I actually don't remember a lot of things but that's none of your business.” 

  Honestly I was astonished at her reply . She took the plates and left the room. I layed on my bed thinking about her reply. 

  “Did she really say that? If she was my Naina she would have never forgotten that. You are just thinking too much Jay” I thought to myself.

  I slept till 8:30 when I again heard a knock on my door . 

  “Hey , Jay bhaiya, finally you woke up,” Sania said to me.

  “Hello, Sania”.

  “ Hey bhai , you promised us that you would have dinner with us and we will also play truth and dare ”

  “Ok I am coming into the dining hall. You all go till the time I am getting ready, you enjoy your evening.”
