I got ready for dinner tonight and went to the dining hall.

“Hey, Jay you are looking fabulous.” Aman told me.

“You too.” I replied.

I saw Sunaina and Sania chatting with each other . I went towards sofa where they were sitting and coughed to bring attention towards me 

“Bhai, you came too early. ” said Sania with a sarcastic tone.

“You don't want me here. If you don't then I am going.” I replied to her with a fake angry expression and then the three of us started laughing.

I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket and said “Excuse me , I think I have a call.” and went to the corner to check my phone.

That number was not saved on my phone but it seemed familiar. “Should I pick it up or not.” I thought to myself .

I don't know how but unconsciously pressed on the green icon.

“Hello…Hello…Who's there? ” I asked repeatedly but there was dead silence on the other side of the phone for a minute or two.

Then a manly voice fell into my ears “ Hey, Hey . I can't believe it's you and you picked up my call. What's up? I am Sam urf Sameer. I am sorry I think there was a network issue on either your or my side.”

“Sam…?” I said

“Did you forget me?” 

“No, how come I but I can't believe it's you Sam. Why did you call me after so many years?”

“If you remember me then you would have remembered our group.” 

Actually, I and Sam were part of a Facebook named “Mystery Music ” where we can discuss music ,songs, history of music , literature and anonymous artists can post their music videos and song covers without showing their faces. “How come I even forget this group, I rekindles with the love of my life , my Naina here.” I thought to myself.

Soon my thoughts were interrupted by a voice “Hey, Hey Jay … Hello. Can you hear me?” Sam asked

“Yes” I replied 

“We are holding a get-together next month where we have invited all members of the group. Actually we are holding this gathering every year ”

“Ok but where did you get my number from? I have been inactive in that group for years now and as far as I can remember I have not shared my phone number with anyone in the group except Naina.”

“Actually I got your number from your old friend added to your inactive Facebook account. I have messaged you every year about the gathering but you never came. ”

“Will Naina also come to the gathering?”

“I don't know. She came to a gathering held 6 years ago . That was probably the only time she came. ”

“What!? Are you serious? ” I replied Sam 

“Yes”

Oh God ! What a big idiot I am . How can I even miss the chance of meeting Naina.

“Hey, Hey Jay . Where you lost” Sam said .

“Nowhere” I replied with excitement and a wide smile on my face.

“Ok, calm down. I get that why you are exited but chances of meeting Naina is slim. ”

Listing the smile on my face faded .

I felt two eyes staring at me . 

“Ok, Sam goodbye. You message me venue of gathering and I would try my best to attend it. ” saying this I kept the call and turned around.

It was Tia staring at me continuously. I turned around and our eyes met each other.

Then she turned around and started walking outside. I walked behind her to stop her but before I could talk to her Sania said “Hey, Where are you going? You promised me that you would join us for dinner.” 

“No it's ok . I am actually tired right now. ”she replied 

“Ok, as you wish.” replied Sania.

I said “Hey, Come join us for dinner and we would also play antakshari and truth and dare tonight. ”

“Yes, Jay is absolutely right. I guess you live here alone and don't interact with many people on a day to day basis. We would be happy if you would join us.” said Sunaina .

“Yes, please join us” said Raj 

At first she hesitated and I get why but anyhow she agreed upon staying in the hall and sitting with us . It felt a little awkward between us. 

We were silently having our dinner while everybody else was talkative .

I don't know why but I kept my hand over her hand to start a conversation between us but she took her hand back.

“I shouldn't have done that. I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable.” I thought to myself.

After a while we started Antakshari and we were divided into three teams . I was with 

were supposed to sing from M .

Tia started singing “Mohe rang do laal nand ke laal , laal , chedo naahi bas rang do laal….modudi kalaai mori , ... .chori…..” 

This voice , how come I even forget this melodious voice. Is it possible for two different people to have exactly the same voice and tone of singing? Those eyes, Naina used to have similar looking big almond shaped hazel eyes . Is she Naina 

Oh God ! What all bullshit I am thinking. If she was really Naina then she would have at least confronted me knowing my name and I had my photo on Facebook. Has she forgotten me ? “Jay, you are overthinking too much .” I said in in my mind 

Soon my thoughts were interrupted by the same melodious voice “ Excuse me , Why are you staring at me? ”

“Nnnn..” I sluttred 

“What N N ” she asked 

“Nothing” I replied and thought to myself “Oh God! What a big idiot you are?”

“ Now Sania di and Aman jiju ’s turn ” said Sunaina 

Antakshari continued and the whole time I was just thinking about Naina. 

Tia and I sang a song together and it felt like I had sung the same song with the same person earlier. 

Obviously I sang it with my Naina . How come I even forget it?

Soon the antakshari was over and I sang one more song and suddenly the memories of Naina started haunting me again.

“Let's play truth and dare now .” said Aman.

I got up from my chair and said “Excuse me,You all play. I suddenly remembered an important work. I have an online meeting and I need to leave urgently.”

“Yaar bhai appke bina toh game mein maza hi nahi aayega” [“ Yaar, Bro there will be no fun in game without you”]

“ Sunaina, try to understand. It's an important meeting. Can we postpone this game for tomorrow? Waise bhi kaafi raat ho chuki hai . Raat ke dus baj rahe hai aur tumhe toh pata hai na mujhe itni der raat tak jaagne ki aadat nahi hai .Aur humne apna dinner toh kar hi liya hai na.[Anyways it's too late tonight. It's already 10 p.m and you know that I don't have a habit of waking up late at night . Anyway, we have already had our dinner.]”

“par (But )Bhai, you slept till 8p.m today.”

“Who told you I am going to sleep. I already informed you about my important meeting.” I said to Sunaina.

“BUT bhai…”

“Come on , Jay has an important meeting. If the meeting wasn’t important then Jay would have never left us in between ” said Sania

“Yes, Sunaina, I think Sania di is absolutely correct.” said Raj.

“Ok.” Sunaina replied, making a sad face.

I left the hall and went towards my room. I locked the door of my room and opened the chain of my bag and started rummaging through it.
