Returning to town, they submitted their kobold hearts. All of them received the same amount of coins, Shin naturally annoyed as he looked at the coin in his palm.

“Why didn’t we get much money? We spent all afternoon working, and now we only get 1 silver each? I thought we got more. And what’s that stinking NPC still hanging around us for? Doesn’t he disappear?”

Jin felt one silver was quite a high reward, seeing as it was a grey quest; however, he had to stick to his own plans.

“I’ve got some ore to sell—the ore you told me to mine. I picked the cabbages too. I think we should go out and eat something, then get ready for an early night before we continue tomorrow.”

By stating what he wanted to do, he knew it’d be objected to, Seiichiro rolling his eyes.

“Why are you such an arsehole? We did our first quest. After what we went through, I need a beer.”

Ahhh… He loved it when his little idiots thought they were thinking for themselves.

“Ace suggested a few places on the way back that have food and alcohol. I’ll sell the ore and pay for the drinks.”

“You can sell the ore, but don’t go selling the cabbages. We need them for cooking.”

Shin crossed his arms.

“Who said you’re in charge of what Yuto cooks? Who wants to eat cabbages?”

“We need him to level up his cooking. He has to practice with something.”

“Oh, so you want to eat everyone’s farts in your sleep.”

“It doesn’t matter if we don’t actually eat it. He just has to cook it.”

“Then the whole guild is going to stink like cabbages.”

“You’re being an arse!”

Seeing them bicker, Jin stepped in.

“We can sell whatever he makes. It doesn’t matter. For now, what about some real food?”

Seiichiro and Shin exchanged a glance and declared a mutual truce. Seiichiro nodded.

“It better be good food, or I’m going to kill that NPC. You, take us somewhere with good food and drink.”

Acshellis’s gaze momentarily flicked to Jin, then he pushed a very strained smile to his lips.

“Of course, party leader. I know a very good place.”

There was an addictive pleasure to having his plans go right. Taking the five little idiots to hand the quest in, then to the pub Acshellis suggested, Jin kindly paid for all the food and drink… lots and lots of alcohol.

Sure, the not-so-fun part was getting them all back to the guild space and laid out, yet once that was done, Jin couldn’t stop grinning. Rejoining Acshellis outside, he threw himself into his husband’s arms, his husband hesitatingly asking,

“Lovely Baby?”

Jin hadn’t planned to drink, then decided he needed a little liquid courage. He’d had to share his husband all day and had to deal with the five little drunken idiots. He was owed what he had planned.

“Mmm, I’ve missed you. You were amazing today, even if you did nearly mess up the plan. Now they’re all unconscious, why don’t we go somewhere more private?”

He didn’t need to explain further; with a click of his fingers, Acshellis was a step ahead of him. Only…

Jin was suddenly soaked. Losing his balance, he fell back, warm water reaching his shoulders. They’d taken so long questing that it was nighttime in-game, yet where he found himself now was darker still. Before he could recover, he had his arms filled with Acshellis, who was laughing.

“My Lovely Baby! Lovely Baby! Look where we are! Look how good I did!”

How was he supposed to look when his husband was in his arms?

“I can’t see.”

Acshellis took him literally. Drawing back, he waved his hand. Small red fiery orbs formed over the water they were in. Jin’s eyes went wide. He knew where they were.

They were in his underground palace!

Right where he’d wanted to go now that he didn’t have to babysit.

“Is this… is this for real?”

Acshellis gave him a smug look.

“Obviously. We were going to take a bath before you decided you had to look after those pieces of trash. What do you even see in them?”

Jin returned Acshellis’s actions, pouncing on his husband, who laughed and pulled him into his lap. His miner wasn’t small—having so many muscles was a bit uncomfortable—yet Acshellis dove in to kiss him before Jin could ask if he was alright.

Closing his eyes, Jin kissed his husband back. At first, he didn’t know what to do with his hands, but somehow, he figured out he could cup Acshellis’s face without breaking the chain of kisses. If they hadn’t had to behave earlier, he really would have lost his virginity either on or bent over his husband’s desk. Feeling his husband starting to poke at him, Jin laughed and threw his head back.

“This is more like it!”

“Can we do it? Can I fuck my Lovely Baby?”

Being asked if he could be fucked made him blush. He may have taught Acshellis all the vulgar phrases he’d learned at home and in Australia. For Acshellis, they’d done it hundreds of times all over the game map, but for him, it was his first time, and he was so beyond done waiting. Bringing his hand up, he bopped Acshellis on the nose.

“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. You could have taken us straight to bed.”

“You needed punishment for making me wait.”

Jin faked a pout, leaning back in and kissing his husband again around his words.

“I’m sorry. I have to protect them. I want to stay here with you forever. We need to know I can’t die just yet. Did seeing me with them make you jealous? Do you think I’d let trash like that between my legs? Why don’t you strip me and check?”

Hefted out of his heated pool, Jin wrapped his legs around his husband. Acshellis was so worked up that they were completely dry by the time he was being laid down on the soft furs of his massive bed.

Originally, the bed and bathroom had been in separate rooms, but his husband liked to watch when he bathed, and he didn’t always want to be manhandled. Thank god the game didn’t save their chat log, or his family would have had a heart attack.
