After a few weeks of preparation, they gathered once more in the attic, where Hiroshi had unveiled the time machine. Clara took a deep breath and activated the device. A soft hum filled the air, and radiant blue light encircled them. As the light brightened, they felt the gentle pull of time bending around them.

When the light faded, they stood in a lush, green field under a clear blue sky.

In front of them lay an ancient city, its towering structures hinting at a civilization long lost.
