Then, standing in the dark, he saw it—a figure cloaked in shadows, a twisted visage that mirrored his regrets. “You thought you could escape? You brought her back, but you can never outrun your sins, Viper.”
Vincent staggered backward, realization dawning; the very essence of his past had awakened, ready to claim him. Lila’s terrified wail pierced through the darkness as Vincent reached for her, pulling her close.
