Josefina helped Carlos carry Marco as Gabrielle ran alongside their new guide. They walked to the road they had heard earlier and followed it through the city. There were people and lights and cars everywhere. It was noisy and full of excitement. Josefina couldn't focus as she looked around in awe. Even Carlos seemed impressed. When they stopped again it was in front of a nice big house with tall trees in the yard that were strung with little garden lights. A sign beside the stone walkway read 'Miriam's BnB'. A BnB Carlos asked, what are we doing here. It is really late Gabrielle shrugged, I certainly could use some sleep. The shadow figure nodded. He pulled a wad of cash out of seemingly thin air and offered it to them. Josefina took it before Gabrielle could get a ahold of it. Alright she said, lets go get a room and get some sleep. The five of them strolled down the walkway through the front gardens to the door. A small bell jingled when they opened it. They entered a large room with a desk on the opposite wall, and a dimly lit chandelier hanging from the ceiling. A lady stood behind the desk dressed in a lacy gown. A lace blindfold covered her eyes.
