The war had engulfed the city.

Ami and the other S-Rank warriors clashed against swarms of lower-level demons. Their attacks shook the ground, lighting up the darkened sky with bursts of elemental energy.

Despite their strength, they hadn’t reached the real threat yet.

Somewhere beyond the hordes of lesser demons, the true enemy awaited—the same one that had nearly killed Haruto, Kai, and Rin in the last battle invasion.

Ami wiped sweat from her forehead, her sword dripping with black demon blood. Beside her, one of the strongest male students from another academy, Satsuki Araragi (S-Rank), cracked his knuckles.

“You feel that?” Satsuki asked.

Ami nodded. “Yeah… there’s a powerful one nearby.”

But first, they had to clear out the obstacles.

Back at the academy, Haruto stood in the empty classroom.

On his desk sat a black mask—smooth, lightweight, yet strangely powerful.

Beside it, a note from Kai.

Haruto,

You need to stop holding back. You felt it, didn’t you? Your power is real. You just have to control it.

Put on this mask. Let go of your fear. Join the fight.

Because if you don’t… we might not survive this time.

Haruto’s hands shook.

The memory of his last battle with the demon haunted him. The agony, the helplessness.

But…

Not this time.

Haruto picked up the mask, slid it over his face, and stepped into the night.

The Demon’s Wrath

The higher-ranked demon, the one who had nearly killed Haruto before—stood in the center of the city.

His frustration boiled over.

“WHERE ARE YOU, BOY?!”

A deafening roar shook the buildings as the demon unleashed energy bombs, leveling streets and collapsing entire structures.

The chaos spread, and people screamed.

Ami and Satsuki fought their way forward but were intercepted by a low-level demon but quite different from other low-level demons who had a purplehead.

“You’re not going anywhere,” the demon sneered.

Ami And Satsuki’s shocked. “He can speak”

Ami gritted her teeth. “Then we’ll end this quickly.”

What followed was a display of raw power.

Ami Sakuragi, her blue-flame katana glowing in the dim light, slashed through a wave of lesser demons. Beside her, Satsuki Araragi, another top-ranked student from a different academy, manipulated gravity to crush multiple enemies at once. Their movements were swift, precise—each strike wiping out multiple demons in an instant.

Stretching out the different demon with a purple head whom seem a bit powerful in low-level demons.

Satsuki’s gravity tendrils wrapped around the demon’s body, crushing them. Ami’s blue-flame sword sliced through the air, sending waves of intensive hot blue-flame energy cutting through its body.

Even though they weren’t using their full power, the fight was intense.

“How many more of these things are there?!” Satsuki gritted his teeth, his violet eyes narrowing as he watched more demons emerge from the shadows.

“They’re endless,” Ami replied, her tone unwavering. “But we need to get to the higher-ranked demon. I can feel its energy—it’s different from the rest.”

Satsuki nodded, flipping backward and hurling a gravitational sphere, sending a cluster of demons crashing into a nearby building. They had no time to waste.

Haruto’s Decision

Meanwhile, back at the academy, Haruto stood still, staring at the black mask resting on his desk. His hands trembled as he read the letter from Kai:

“Haruto, I know you feel weak, but that’s only because you don’t understand yourself yet. Emotions fuel your power. The moment you embrace them, you’ll realize what you’re truly capable of. Take this mask—it will help you focus. And if you ever hesitate… just remember, we believe in you.”

“If Kai is right then….”

A sharp inhale. His fingers curled around the mask. His heart pounded in his chest.

No more hiding.

With a final glance at the empty classroom, Haruto grabbed the mask, secured it over his face, and sprinted out of the academy.

The Demon’s Hunt

The demon leading the invasion—a towering, horned creature with deep crimson eyes and a sinister grin—hovered over the ruined cityscape.

“Boy! Where are you?” it bellowed, its voice shaking the earth. “I know you’re here… I can smell your power!”

It lifted one clawed hand, gathering dark energy into a massive sphere. With a single motion, it hurled the attack downward, obliterating several buildings in an instant.

“Come out, come out, wherever you are,” it taunted.

Then, it froze.

A pulse of energy—small at first, but growing stronger—radiated from a rooftop in the distance.

The higher-ranked demon turned, sensing him.

A slow, sinister grin spread across its face.

The demon’s expression twisted into glee.

“There you are.”

Haruto vs. the Demon Leader

Haruto stood tall, his masked face unreadable, energy flickering around his body like unstable lightning.

The demon rushed toward him, its monstrous wings spread wide.

“Let’s see what you’re truly capable of, boy!”

Haruto clenched his fists, trying to focus. His body still ached from his last battle. He wasn’t sure if he could control this power yet.

The demon launched a devastating claw strike, but Haruto instinctively sidestepped, moving with an unnatural speed. His reflexes had improved. I can do this…

He extended his hands forward, focusing all his energy into a single attack. Golden light began to swirl around him, forming a long, concentrated energy blast—similar to Goku’s Kamehameha.

“RAAAAHHH!!”

He unleashed the attack.

The golden beam shot forward, colliding with the demon’s own energy blast. The force of their clash sent shockwaves rippling through the air, shattering nearby buildings and throwing weaker demons off their feet.

Ami and Satsuki, who were still cutting through low-level demons and presently killed the different demon with a purple head, halted their battle, their heads snapping toward the direction of the explosion.

“This energy…, That Voice!” Ami whispered.

It was unrecognized.

But it couldn’t be Haruto’s… could it?

The Final Strike

Haruto gritted his teeth, pushing every ounce of his strength into his energy blast. The demon roared, straining against him.

Then—something clicked inside Haruto.

For the first time, he embraced his emotions. The frustration of being weak. The anger at being mocked. The joy of watching his favorite anime heroes overcome impossible odds.

His energy surged.

“Am A Diehard Fan Boy!!…, Die Demon!!”, He screamed.

The golden light around him intensified, his power tripling in an instant.

With a final roar, he overpowered the demon’s attack. The energy beam struck the creature head-on, engulfing it in an explosion of golden fire. The demon let out one final, piercing scream before it disintegrated into nothingness.

Silence.

Then—cheers erupted from the city. The lower demons, sensing their leader’s demise, began to flee to the sky portal, their numbers dwindling.

But before anyone could arrive at the battlefield, Haruto had already disappeared.

As the Sky portal slowly closes

Aftermath & Suspicion

Ami, Satsuki, and the other top-ranked students arrived moments too late. All they found was the destroyed landscape and the lingering traces of the powerful energy.

“Who… did this?” Satsuki asked, scanning the area.

Ami tightened her grip on her sword.

“It felt… erratic.”

Kai and Rin exchanged glances, their suspicions confirmed. Haruto had finally awakened his power.

But for now, they would keep his secret.

Aftermath of the Battle

As the energy clash faded, a massive crater remained where the demon once stood. The air was thick with smoke, and the ground was scorched from the impact. The battle had left the city in ruins, but the higher demon had been completely obliterated.

Ami and Satsuki finally arrived at the scene, only to find no sign of the mysterious fighter.

“What the hell happened here?” Satsuki muttered, scanning the destruction.

Ami narrowed her eyes, trying to sense any remaining energy. The power that had been unleashed was something beyond what she thought possible.

“ The demon?, vanish! ” one of the S-Rank students asked.

No one had the answer.

But Kai and Rin stood in the distance, watching the scene unfold with knowing eyes.

They knew.

Haruto had finally awakened his power back.

And he didn’t want anyone to know.

Meanwhile, Haruto moved through the shadows, breathing heavily.

His body ached from the power surge. Every muscle felt like it had been torn apart and stitched back together. But he couldn’t afford to stay.

If they knew what he had done… they’d start watching him.

He couldn’t let that happen.

As he reached a hidden alley, he removed the black mask and stuffed it into his pocket. His energy had faded, and once again, he looked just like the weak F-Rank student everyone mocked.

But he knew the truth now.

He had power.

And with the upcoming inter-academy competition, he had a reason to keep it a secret.

Back at the battle site, the S-Rank students from different academies gathered to discuss what had happened.

“Whoever did this… they’re beyond our anticipations,” Satsuki said, running a hand through his hair.

“They’re not registered as an S-Rank, either,” Ami added, still deep in thought.

The S-Ranks who had fought in the battle were some of the strongest young student warriors in the country. But this mysterious fighter had taken down a powerful demon leader alone.

It didn’t make sense.

“Should we report this?” one student asked.

Ami hesitated. She was still trying to piece together her own doubts.

That energy had been too extraordinary.

And That voice.

But it couldn’t have been Haruto.

Right?

Kai and Rin, standing nearby, exchanged a glance but said nothing.

They weren’t about to reveal Haruto’s secret.
