At around the time, when the sun was already on its way to go down again. Its light had already obtained a peach orange tint, the moment that Lei's eylids fluttered.
Instead of opening them though, she sensed a very warm fur that felt and smelled very enticing. And so she turned over, half-consciously, to bury herself in the large pillow of it, with a feeling of contentedness engulfing her that warmed her from the inside-out, at the same time the fur warmed her skin and this warmth spread to her core.
She had never felt so warm, and secure with anyone, who wasn't her family, and it really helped her, with her exhaustion. The exhaustion she hadn't really acknowledged previously.
Next to her, a tall vixen curled in on herself and enveloped the dragon, as if Yu was the dragon and Lei was the treasure, who she needed to keep in her hoard.
Yu, even though exhausted, still felt a deep relaxation wrapping her up from head to toe, making her feel like she was floating and traversing clouds.
Thus, something unusual happened, she woke up on her own, and before the morning person next to her, who was still encaging her, similar to prey that she had succesfully captured.
Yu raised herself, which was much more strenuous, than it should be and than it usually was.
Her dragon was not very heavy, but as with a cat, Yu did not want to wake her...But she really, really needed to get up, otherwise her bones would stiffen - figuratively speaking.
She had raised herself halfway, when the dragon snuggled up closer to her and caused her smile to get a bit wider and her eyes started to radiate warmth, while she stroked over Lei's hair.
In a gentle manner, Yu detangled herself and got up, her eyes lingering on the supple skin, which was scarcely revealed by the blanket, before she turned away and looked around in the room, she had barely paid attention to yesterday.
It was a pretty neat room and very tidy.
She guessed that Lei kept it this way.
Not because she was familiar with hotel rooms, but, who hadn't seen vacation ads? The rooms usually were unpersonally tidy there, but this room had a hint of personality.
If it already showcased her personality this much, then what would her real room look like? It really made her curious and she mused that it would be interesting to see that.
Yu headed to the bathroom and the mirror showcased her in hybrid fox form, covered in fur.
'Oh.', she ruminated. 'I didn't think it was this soothing...', she giggled and shook off her fur, before stepping into the shower.
She stepped out, finding a bathrobe neatly placed on a shelf, which was otherwise empty and this indicated to her that Lei had gotten up and placed it there.
'So much self-restrained', Yu mused. giggling again and then putting on the bathrobe, before stepping out of the bathroom, just to be greeted by a breakfast smelling deliciously enchanting and mouth-watering.
Yu sat down at the table and started eating rapidly, almost devouring it without chewing, as she was famished. She had barely spared enough time to thank Lei for the food, though the other could only chuckle, while taking a seat in front of her.
Lei started to eat as well, but a bit slower than her girlfriend, though she was as starved, as she was.
Their gazes met sometimes, inbetween bites and each of their Irises were glowing.
While the hint of red in Lei's eye seemed a bit more prominent next to the gold, which seemed similar to a fluid swirling about. The dark blue of Yu’s eyes glittered and the star like white dots blinked, as if a live on their own.
Lei was wearing a robe as well, and so they sat there, Lei in a golden white and Yu in a black red robe, the one decorated with cranes and the other decorated with kois.
It was silly to be so quiet, but both of them hadn't spoken, as they didn't know, whether their vocal chords would even allow a whisper.
Additionally, Yu for the first time didn't mind the silence, her thoughts, as fast as usual were streaming through her mind, equal to a car on a highway, didn't unsettle her today, or sparked her into action, she could just sit there and eat.
Meanwhile, though Lei was a bit anxious and moving her foot and fingertips occasionally, tapping a rhythm on the table, yet remaining silent, too.
Even though her mind was racing much more than usual.
Her calmness stripped off her and replaced with this warmth, which still lingered and made her feel like she had found a piece of her own and which had been missing within her.
"Your fur is very soft. Is it naturally like this, or do you need to groom it?" Lei looked at her with curiosity, and a glint of knowing in her eyes, as she knew that caring for hair could turn into a hassle. Her voice had been lower than usual and a bit raspy from overuse, but Yu understood her clearly.
"I do groom it myself. But I sometimes don't need to. I just then head to a Magick Beauty Salon. They are hidden in the woods, and do not focus only on fur. I can take you with me and you could get your scales polished, if you want, as far as I know, some dragons really love going there.", it was a cute offer. "Thanks, I've been trying to find one of them since a bit, but my schedule didn't make it easy. Plus, the magic is hidden well here.", she said matter of factly and Yu nodded. "Yeah if you don't know in which alley, or near which creak or forest, it can be hard. Isn't it the same in France?" - "Partially, but I also just know, where the places are. And this makes it seem easier to me than it is, for someone, in comparison to someone, who doesn't know where to look.
It was way harder in Hanguk.
Since, they are always a bit afraid of the previously inanimate and now awakened goblins. They should be a lot happier though, as it is no small feat to pour enough energy in, for them to gain animation - or a spirit.", she shrugged it off and finished her meal.
"I will put it into the dishwasher, you can go take a shower." - "You won't join me?", Lei joked.
"If you can restrain yourself, so can I and it also doesn't mean there won't be a next time.
However, tonight is the first official band practice after the break, with all of us, so I can't miss it. Or be distracted.", she threw Lei a knowing look, but only got an innocent blink in return.
Lei slid over to her and kissed the tip of her nose, before disappearing into the bathroom, to take a shower.
Yu cleaned up and looked, if her clothes were still wearable, only to find them neatly folded on the freshly made bed.
How fast had her dragon cleaned them?
They smelled like Lei's detergent and it felt as if it had been done by magic, however Lei had informed her, that she didn't posess this gift.
"Hmmm...", she hmphed and put the clothing into her bag, before walking into the other's closet, looking for the designs she had seen, only to find that most of Lei's clothes were self-sewn.
Yu was tempted and could not resist, as to make herself at home and put on a dress that just screamed her name.
It was a dark blue dress embezzeled with crystals. Of course, there were also the perfect heels for it, which were likewise decorated with crystals on various strings that partially rose over and up Yu's calves.
She put a lot of effort into her make-up and hair; she made realistic illusions, to complement it, but it was unmistakenly an illusion. As the make-up and little crystals on her face glowed like a firefly, similarly to a star, which had fallen and lend its’ light.
The purple tips of her hair glowed as well, and so, when Lei, still dressed in the robe, or rather again, then got into her bedroom and saw this moon, who was standing in front of the mirror, of her clothes' closet, she was utterly speechless. 'She looks like a goddess', Lei thought and ran over to her.
But she was kept at arms length and could only courteously steal a kiss, which brushed the back of Yu's hand. "Get dressed, we really need to leave..", Yu said a hint of silkiness in her voice.
Her voice was also a bit lower, but mostly softer - less clear and more like a string instrument than before.
Lei nodded.
It was just that she had nothing to do today, otherwise, she might've been the more restrained one.
She went over to her closet and rummaged through it, after 10 minutes, of course she was faster, now that she was brimming with anticipation: She stepped out of the closet with a golden dress, reminding one of the midday sun.
It was bright and glowed a bit on it's own, the fabric mimicking melted gold, enunciating the golden glow of Lei's eyes.
Her red curls had already been styled, to be precise, it alreade had been at the moment, she had stepped into the bedroom. This had probably been the reason, why she had taken a bit longer in the shower than Yu.
On her feet were heels reminiscent of sandals, ornated with golden strings, these were snaking around and up her calves mimicking vines, and similar to Yu's, curtesy of Lei's closet.
The make-up was dark yellow and tinted with orange and via Yu's assistance, it now seemed that the sun had lent a single ray, as if a drop had fallen out of the sky and had been mended into the make-up, to illuminate Lei's face.
"I almost don't want to practice, what if I ruin the dress?" - "Don't worry it's enchanted." - "With what?", Yu questioned and Lei stepped closer, leaning down and whispering the next into Yu's elongated and pricked ears, that were decorated with silvery jewellery as well, as well as the rest of Yu.
Correspondingly Lei was bejewelled with gold ornaments, and other trinkets.
"The breath of a dragon.", she whispered softly, aforementioned breath tingling over her skin and making Yu shiver.
Yu looked at the red-haired woman, with the golden eyes and supple brown skin. Oh, how she wanted to rip off the dress off the other right now, but she shook her head and focused.
Without further ado, she passed her, feigning ignorance, regardless Lei was very aware of her struggle and smiled. The warmth that the other's skin and fur had caused in her, was lingering on and in her, as well, and made her feel like a lizard, or well a dragon, who had found their source of warmth - their personal sun, to activate their muscles, thus she had no choice, but to follow Yu.
