Chapter 10: a new world valtaros

Kim Sehan stood in the center of the massive lobby, surrounded by hundreds of confused and anxious players. The tutorial had ended, and as the first to reach Level 10, he had been granted a class—Void Walker. His new abilities pulsed within him, promising untold potential.

The moment of calm, however, was fleeting.

A bright light enveloped the space, and players began vanishing one by one, dissolving into shimmering particles. Sehan felt a sudden pull, as though being yanked through space itself. When his vision cleared, he was no longer in the sterile, floating lobby. Instead, he stood on the rugged terrain of an unfamiliar world.

Valtaros.

The air was thick with the scent of earth and damp foliage. Towering trees with twisted, dark-green leaves loomed overhead, their massive roots tangling across the uneven ground. A sun—larger and more crimson than Earth’s—hung low in the sky, casting eerie shadows through the dense canopy.

Distant roars echoed across the landscape, a reminder that this world was teeming with life—hostile or otherwise.

A notification appeared before him.

Objective: Establish a Foothold

• Locate shelter before nightfall.
• Defend against potential threats.
• Failure to secure shelter will result in penalties.

Sehan exhaled sharply. This was where the true challenge began.

Around him, other players materialized, their expressions ranging from confusion to outright fear. Some panicked, others clenched their fists in determination. But unlike them, Sehan already had a plan.

Without hesitation, he activated Void Step—his body shifting in a blur of motion as he began scouting for a secure location.

This world was unknown to them.

But to him, it was just another battlefield.
