After Mom helped with showering and drying, she stood and watched me get dressed by myself. The clothes she chose were ones I use when going out to Church: a white flannel, and a light brown pair of shorts.
Sunday is still four days from now. Why pick so something special?
Mom walked towards me and leaned "Here honey." She said smearing hair wax and brushing my hair.
"You look handsome as always." She smiled ear to ear. "Wait for me in the living room, It's mommy's turn to wash up."
Across from me on the couch, Tommy was playing with his switch while I turned pages from my picture book. I didn't know what any of the words says, but the colors and drawings of the monkeys were fun to look at.
There was one page where the boy and the monkey met.
A page where they hang out.
A page where they're both sad together.
And the last page where they are happy again.
There are picture books where the drawings are far better, but this one is my favorite. I don't know why, maybe it's because I like monkeys a lot.
Before going to the car, I placed the book on my table perfectly aligned in the center. Just like how everything should be.
