Mr. Kim spent that Friday night wondering what he should wear for his date with Mr. Lim.
His bed had a pile of clothes next to three outfits that he laid out. Before going through his closet, he had looked through a few fashion accounts on social media.
Although Mr. Kim picked out similar clothes to the ones he found on a fashion account. He wasn't sure which outfit he should wear.
A more casual outfit that has light wash jeans, a long white t-shirt and a bright green hoodie.
Or a more dressy fit, with black slacks with a pleat on the front leg, a white undershirt and a beige short sleeve button up.
Or maybe a mix of the two with the black pants, white t-shirt and a more neutral coloured hoodie.
Mr. Kim wasn't sure what to pick because he didn't know what Mr. Lim would wear to their date.
But, before that, Mr. Kim had another question pop into his mind.
'Is-is this a date?'
Mr. Kim had assumed that it was, however, it's possible that Mr. Lim simply sees this as Mr. Kim paying him back.
While his mind was questioning whether or not this was a date, his phone chimed.
It was a message from Mr. Lim,
[Mr. Kim, what time should we meet tomorrow?]
Mr. Kim realized that he could simply ask.
[How about at 11am?]
[That sounds good.]
[Mr. Lim, does this count as a date?]
[...]
Even through the screen Mr. Kim could see Mr. Lim's surprised expression.
[If it's okay with you Mr. Kim, I'd like it if this was a date.]
Mr. Kim was glad to see that he wasn't the only one assuming that this was a date between the two.
Although he was excited, he simply texted back,
[I'm looking forward to our date, Mr. Lim.]

Although he set an alarm and woke up in time, Mr. Kim spent too long questioning what to wear in the morning. After much thought, Mr. Kim decided to choose the third option. He wore black slacks and a white t-shirt with a muted green coloured hoodie on top.
Mr. Kim rushed to the meeting spot which was a cafe that he heard about from one of the younger employees at work. When they asked Mr. Kim about his weekend plans, he told them that he was planning to go on a date with someone to a cafe. The employee was excited to hear this from Mr. Kim, who has never talked about such things before, so they pulled out their phone and sent several links to cafes that they recommend.
When Mr. Kim arrived at the cafe, he walked in looking for Mr. Lim. Who he found immediately, not only because of the wafting scent of his buttery pheromones, but also because of how his looks seemed to radiate even from the entrance.
Mr. Lim was sitting down at a table, scrolling through his phone, seemingly unaware that people’s gazes were pointed towards him.
He was wearing a navy sweater and grey pants with black shoes. Which complimented his dark hair that was styled into the comma hairstyle.
After taking a few seconds to take in the sight of Mr. Lim, Mr. Kim walked up to him.
“Mr. Lim, I’m sorry for being late.”
He looked up towards Mr. Kim, “It’s okay, Mr. Kim.”
Mr. Lim stood up,
“Should we go order our drinks?”
“Ye-yes.”
Mr. Kim ordered a simple iced americano with mint flavoured syrup. And Mr. Lim went with an iced latte sweetened with honey, he also got a slice of strawberry sponge cake.
The two took their buzzer and sat down at a table.
“I guess you like sweets, Mr. Lim.”
“I do, I've always liked sweets since I was young."
There was a slight pause before Mr. Lim spoke again,
“Mr. Kim, is it alright if I call you Junho? I’d like it if you called me by my first name as well.”
“I wouldn’t mind. It’d be awkward to be formal even while on a date.”
Mr. Lim smiled and contiued the two's conversation, smoothly switching to a more casual tone,
“Junho, I’m glad that we got to meet outside of work. This cafe seems quite nice, did someone recommend it to you?”
“A coworker heard that I was going on a date and they said this place was nice.”
Although Mr. Lim didn’t show it, he was happy that Junho was also looking forward to today.
“I’ll have to ask Mr. Cho about a date spot for next time.”
Before Junho could fully understand what Mr. Lim had said, the buzzer went off.
Mr. Lim picked it up as he stood up,
“I’ll go get our drinks, Junho.”
“Thanks.”
Junho wondered why Mr. Lim was seemingly saying his name after every sentence. Like he was waiting to be able to call him by his first name, in a more casual way.
Junho was glad that he ordered an iced drink because it helped cool down his face that was burning up.
