Sowon woke up with one mission in mind: act normal.
Because, apparently, agreeing to go on a date with a stupidly attractive businessman within ten minutes of meeting him was not considered a rational decision.
Her best friend, Yeona, had made that very clear.
"You met him last night. And you already agreed to a date?"
Yes, she had. And yes, maybe her track record with men was questionable at best.
But Taekhyun wasn’t some random pretty boy with a tragic SoundCloud account and no job. He was wealthy, successful, and emotionally mature—probably.
What could go wrong?

The Morning After
The group chat was in flames.
[Yeona]: oh my god
[Yeona]: are u serious
[Yeona]: UR ACTUALLY GOING ON A DATE WITH HIM
[Sowon]: yes. why r u acting shocked. u were there when he asked me
[Yeona]: I thought u were just being nice!!
[Yeona]: NOT FALLING FOR HIS CEO ASS IN UNDER 10 MINUTES
[Sowon]: I’m not falling
[Sowon]: it’s just dinner
[Yeona]: just dinner my ass
[Yeona]: u had the heart eyes all night
Sowon threw her phone onto her bed and ignored it.
She had not been making heart eyes. Yeona was exaggerating.
Right?
---
By the time she arrived at work, Sowon had fully convinced herself that this was a logical, rational, smart decision.
Yoo Taekhyun was the type of guy who made sense.
Handsome? Check.
Successful? Check.
A personality that didn’t immediately set off alarm bells? Check.
And most importantly—he wasn’t a musician, a struggling artist, or a man who thought budgeting was "for losers."
That was progress.
She should be proud of herself.
She’d give him a chance.
After all, it wasn’t like she was marrying the guy.
---
"Two weeks."
Sowon blinked. "What?"
"If you fall for him in less than two weeks, you owe me coffee for a month," Yeona said, smirking.
Sowon scoffed. "That’s stupid. It’s just one date."
"You say that every time," Yeona pointed out. "And then, suddenly, you’re planning a life together."
"That is not true—"
Yeona raised an eyebrow. "Jungho."
"Okay, one time."
"Siyeon."
"Okay, two times—"
"Byunghoon."
Sowon groaned. "Fine! I get it! I have a problem."
Yeona grinned. "So, deal?"
Sowon rolled her eyes but extended her hand. "Deal."*
Because she wasn’t going to fall that fast this time.
Ko Sowon believes in love—the kind that makes your heart race and your brain short-circuit. But love has a bad habit of making her ignore obvious red flags.
This time, though, she’s sure she’s got it right. A perfect man, a perfect romance… what could possibly go wrong?
