Something felt… wrong.
Kaisler sat on the edge of his bed, staring at his hands, trying to shake the uneasy feeling gnawing at his mind. It wasn’t fear. It wasn’t pain. Just a persistent sense that something wasn’t adding up.
He grabbed his device and checked his bank account. Maybe he had lost everything in the stock market? That would explain this sinking feeling in his gut. But no—the numbers had skyrocketed. He had more money than he remembered ever having.
His eyes narrowed. That was good news, wasn’t it? Then why did it feel like bad news?
He looked around the lavish mansion. It was beautiful—pristine marble floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a view that stretched endlessly over a skyline he couldn’t quite recognize. It was everything he could have ever wanted.
So why did it feel like he didn’t belong here?
The sensation crawled up his spine, like a whisper in the back of his mind telling him that something—everything—was just slightly… off.
A voice pulled him from his thoughts.
Ava (smiling): "Babe, are you okay? You look tired."
Her voice was gentle, warm—soothing, even. Too soothing.
Kaisler blinked, shaking his head slightly. He hesitated before speaking.
Kaisler: "When did we meet?"
Ava cocked her head, giving him a playful smirk.
Ava: "Don’t be silly. We met two years ago."
Two years ago. The answer came fast—too fast. Kaisler searched his mind, and, sure enough, there were memories. Their first meeting. Their first date. The moments that led them here.
Then why did it still feel wrong?
He forced a chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck.
Kaisler: "Yeah, yeah. Sorry for asking."
Ava watched him carefully, her smile unwavering, but inside, she knew—he was starting to slip through her control.
Ava (thinking): I should have gone deeper. I didn’t invade his mind enough. He’s stronger than I expected. I have to play my cards right… or I’ll lose him.
Kaisler pushed himself up from the bed, stretching.
Kaisler: "Anyway, I’m gonna do some road work. Don’t miss me too much."
Ava let out a soft laugh, standing gracefully.
Ava: "I’ll try."
As he walked out, the feeling didn’t go away. In fact, with every step, it grew worse.
Something was definitely wrong.
Kaisler ran through the entire universe, his body moving on instinct while his mind wrestled with a strange, suffocating fog. He kept trying to think—to really think—but it was like something was blocking him.
Frustrated, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts. The usual names were there: Dad, Mom… but as he searched, an unsettling realization crept over him.
Nowhere in his contacts could he find Buddy, Sarah, or Juno.
Kaisler (frowning): I feel like I’m missing something…
He hesitated, staring at the screen, a dull ache pressing at the back of his mind.
Then he shrugged.
Kaisler: Eh. If I forgot, it’s probably not important anyway.
Kaisler got dressed and stepped out, wandering through the city streets. He grabbed a breakfast burrito and a lemon-lime drink, savoring the quiet morning. As he walked, he found a bench and sat down, letting his mind drift.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted someone familiar.
There was something familiar about their posture, the way they moved. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t place it. That person was Sarah… yet he still didn’t know."
She was on a call, pacing slightly as she spoke.
Sarah (on a call with Buddy): "You seen Juno? It’s been a few days since she’s been at the house."
Buddy (on the call): "Nah, but like… I could get her if she calls me."
Sarah: "Why?"
Buddy: "Why would I waste my time saving someone who doesn’t wanna be saved? I’m not Kaisler."
Sarah: "That joke didn’t hit."
She paused.
"Anyway, speaking of Kaisler… where is he?"
Buddy: "Ain’t seen him in a while, to be honest. But he’s chillin'."
Sarah: "Alright. Anyway, I’ll be home soon. Cya."
She hung up, sighing to herself.
Kaisler remained still, watching from his seat. Something felt off.
He should’ve gone up to her. He should’ve said something.
But for some reason, he didn’t.
Kaisler goes through the day, but something about it feels strangely uneventful. The moment he lays down, he falls asleep instantly.
Ava sneaks in, her presence undetected. She had put him to sleep on purpose—giving herself the perfect opportunity to tamper with his mind once more. With careful precision, she alters his memories, erasing and rewriting them as she pleases.
Three days later...
Ava entered the room, ready to do the same thing once more. But the moment she stepped inside, an uneasy feeling crept over her—a presence she hadn't noticed before.
She scanned the room, seeing nothing at first. But when her eyes landed on the bed, she froze. The figure lying there wasn’t Kaisler. It was a body made of string.
Before she could turn around, something sharp pressed against her back.
Kaisler: "Don't even turn around."
Ava: "Babe… what are you doing?"
Kaisler: "Don’t hit me with that bullshit. Why are you sneaking into my room?"
Ava: "I was just checking on you, babe—"
Kaisler: "Stop with that shit."
Ava: "Uh… okay, but put the dagger down."
Kaisler: "This ain't a dagger. It’s a thread-blade. Don’t fuck with me."
Ava tried glancing around, but before she could see anything, the once-invisible threads in the room lit up—glowing with a blinding light. Four glowing arrows were suspended in the corners of the room, each one trained on her.
Kaisler: "Nah, baby girl, I don’t even try it. Four arrows locked on you, plus this blade at your back. You move? You die."
Ava: "Alright… what do you want?"
Kaisler: "I need you to implant fake memories of infinite knowledge."
Ava: "That would fry your brain. That’s infinite knowledge. You’ll die."
Kaisler: "You’re not supposed to care. Just do it."
Ava hesitated, then did as he asked, expecting him to drop dead at any second. But instead of dying, Kaisler’s mind kept absorbing knowledge—without her interference.
She didn’t realize that his second ability was activating—the power to create infinite minds and absorb limitless information. With that knowledge, he used his unique ability to weave new threads, each infused with the intelligence he had just gained.
Two Days Prior…
Buddy had tracked down Kaisler’s aura, meeting up with him instantly.
Kaisler: “Hello, who are you?”
Buddy instantly slaps him down, sending him into a different multiverse.
Buddy: “Listen, okay bro, I know your brain is being messed with, and I’m going to fix it.”
Kaisler: “What do you mean? My mind hasn’t been changed in any way.”
Buddy: “Bro, just stop.”
Kaisler immediately ties Buddy down and tortures him for about 10 hours. His screams are haunting, but after 11 hours, the mind control finally breaks. They’ve made a plan together, one which Kaisler reluctantly agrees to.
Back in the Present Day
Kaisler: “Don’t fuck with any of my memories, or I’ll kill you.”
Ava: “Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
Kaisler: “Why do you want my memories?”
Ava: “I don’t want your memories. I want you stronger and loyal so we can take over.”
Kaisler: “What’s the point of taking over?”
Ava: “Would you like to know?”
Kaisler: “Yes, I would like to know. Stop gatekeeping for real.”
Ava: “You don’t want to work for me. Why would I tell you?”
Kaisler: “Fine, be like that. But I’ll take your offer to make me stronger.”
Ava: “Why?”
Kaisler: “If you make me stronger, we’ll form an alliance, and I won’t attack you if you won’t attack me.”
Ava: “How will I know you won’t betray me?”
Kaisler: “I haven’t killed you yet, have I?”
Ava: “I’m still useful. That’s the only reason why.”
Kaisler: “Is your telepathy off or something?”
Ava: “Nah, I’m just messing with you. Anyway, to get stronger, you need a higher battle IQ. Also, I noticed you stopped using your hands mid-battle. Why’s that?”
Kaisler: “My bones aren’t strong enough to withstand my punch force.”
Ava: “That’s hilarious. I’ll just help you develop multiple new fighting styles and make you able to adapt in mind fights.”
Kaisler: "So, when and how do we start?"
Ava: "You’ll fight my generals again."
Kaisler: "No fucking way. I’m not fighting those guys again."
Ava: "You have a week to prepare. If you lose even a single fight, you become my minion for a little while."
Kaisler: "Really? Do I have to agree?"
Ava: "Yeah, you have to."
Five Days Until the Fight with the Generals
We see Kaisler training. He’s lifting a black hole dumbbell with both hands.
Kaisler: "Buddy, how did you make a black hole dumbbell?"
Buddy: "Don’t think about it."
Kaisler: "Listen, okay? Just listen. How the actual fuck is this black hole not tearing the entire world apart?"
Buddy: "BRO, STOP ASKING ME SHIT!!"
Kaisler: "Okay, okay."
Buddy: "So, how strong are you now?"
Kaisler: "I can withstand my dimension-shattering punch, but I can’t withstand my universe-destroying punch."
Buddy: "So?"
Kaisler: "They can destroy universes with a punch. No holding back. Like, bro, what don’t you understand?"
Buddy: "I understand. They’re just weak as fuck."
Kaisler: "Yeah, yeah. Can’t you just kill them?"
Buddy: "Yeah, I can, but you need to get stronger."
Kaisler: "UGH, BRO, WHATEVER."
Three Days Until the Fight with the Generals
Kaisler is seen punching Buddy's hands inside Buddy’s pocket dimension, which is 50 times stronger than a universe with each punch. It’s causing the dimension to crack, but it’s instantly healing itself.
Buddy: "Time for road work."
Kaisler: "Is it really road work? At this point, I’m just running around the multiverse. This isn’t fucking road work."
Buddy: "Bro, do you have to question everything? Damn, I’m training you."
Kaisler: "My bad, bro, but like still, I’m just saying, I’ve been training, but I only have two main fighting styles."
Buddy: "That’s not my job. That’s, what’s her name again?"
Kaisler: "Ava?"
Buddy: "Yeah, her. That’s her job."
Kaisler: "Aight, bro, whatever. All I’m saying is there’s no way I’m losing this, right?"
Buddy: "Yeah."
Kaisler: "How do you have so many powers? Can’t we have only two abilities max, minus sub-powers?"
Buddy: "Bro, stop questioning me."
One Day Before the Fight with the Generals
Kaisler is seen effortlessly shattering the same dimension he struggled with before. This time, it’s much easier, so Buddy creates a new pocket dimension 100 times stronger than the previous one.
Kaisler: "At this point, this feels like a routine. I’m easily going to win the fight."
Buddy: "Don’t get too cocky. They’re probably training too."
Kaisler: "I know, but listen—I'm hyped for this fight. They better not die too fast."
Buddy: "Yeah, why are you so hyped? You’re not the type to enjoy fighting."
Kaisler: "For once, I have a reason to fight. For once."
Buddy: "Yeah, yeah, whatever."
Meanwhile, the Generals are training, practicing multiple tactics in preparation for the fight.
General One: "Do you really think he’s that strong? I don’t think we need to practice all that much against just one man."
General Three: "He pointed a blade at our master. We need to destroy him and his spirit."
General Two: "You worry too much. Stop acting like he isn’t fodder. Plus, we’re jumping him, so it’s going to be an easy fight."
Ava: "I HOPE YOU DUMBASSES ARE TRAINING. DON’T SLACK OFF ONCE, OR YOU’RE DEAD!"
Three Hours Before the Fight with the Generals
Both groups were nervous, their bodies slightly shaking with anticipation. The tension was thick in the air. Suddenly, Buddy teleported Kaisler directly to Ava.
Kaisler: "Bro, you gotta stop pulling all these powers out of your ass."
Buddy: "Look, man, I just got you here. Be grateful."
Ava: "You’re three hours early. Just chill."
Kaisler: "Aight."
One of the generals, General One, stared at Kaisler, sizing him up. But when it came to Buddy, he didn’t even dare to look his way—his aura was so overwhelming that even glancing at him might be fatal.
General One: "You're not human, are you?"
Buddy: "Me?"
General One: "Yes, sir."
Buddy: "I am human. The thing is, I’ve filtered people from experiencing my aura. But, you know what? I’ll whitelist you."
Kaisler (panicking): "DAWG, DAWG, WHEN DID YOU GET THESE POWERS!?"
Buddy: "Don't ask questions. Just experience my greatness and be happy."
Kaisler: "Bro, I swear—"
Buddy cuts him off, still smirking.
Buddy: "I know. I’ll go kill myself."
ONE SECOND BEFORE THE FIGHT
Kaisler steps into the pocket dimension, a grin spreading across his face. Time to get my get back for real, he thinks.
The first general smirks, excited for the battle to begin.
The second general feels uneasy—he’s nervous but still convinced he’ll win.
The third general? He knows he’s screwed. He already accepts that the moment this fight starts, he’s dead on sight.
Buddy (grinning): "Hey, Ava."
Ava (confused): "What?"
Buddy: "Is killing allowed?"
Ava: "Obviously."
Buddy (yelling): "YO, KAISLER! KILL THEM ALL! DON'T BE NO NARUTO!!"
Kaisler (smirking): "Oh, trust me, I will. This ain’t no ‘I have to be the hero’ type anime."
Writer’s Note: Naruto is goated. Go watch it.
