Chapter 7.

The Little Celestial.

Elara was going about her life in the Fairy Kingdom, enjoying the company of her friends and the love of her surroundings. One sunny day, as she was playing near the river of dreams, a flash of light crossed the sky, catching her attention.

A small Celestial, with golden wings and bright blonde hair, was swooping down from above. He seemed to be struggling to keep his balance in the air. Eventually, he lost control and ended up gently falling into the river, near where Elara was.

Elara rushed to help him out of the water. As she approached, she saw that the small Celestial had deep blue eyes and an expression of surprise mixed with joy. He looked like a child of barely 4 years old.

Hello, Elara said with a smile. ¿Are you okay?

The small Celestial nodded and shook the water off his wings. Yes, thank you. I am Caelum. I was learning to fly and lost my balance. ¿What place is this?

This is the Fairy Kingdom, Elara replied. I am Elara. ¿Do you want to meet the other little fairies here?

Caelum nodded in agreement, but before they could go play, Mara appeared between the trees. Her expression was grave and worried.

Elara, ¿who is this little Celestial? Mara asked.

It's Caelum, Elara said. He was learning to fly and fell here. He wanted to meet the other little fairies.

Mara looked at Caelum with a mix of wariness and concern. Caelum, I'm afraid you can't stay here. You must return to the Celestial realm. It's dangerous for you to be in a place you don't know.

Elara frowned. But Mara, he just wants to play and meet the others…

Mara sighed and knelt down in front of Elara. I know. Little one, but the realms have their own rules and it's for the safety of you and Caelum. You must understand that there are things you can't know yet.

Elara looked down, feeling a pang of sadness. Caelum looked disappointed as well, but he nodded, understanding that Mara just wanted to protect them.

It’s okay, Caelum said with a forced smile. It was nice meeting you, Elara.

Mara took Caelum by the hand and led him to the edge of the forest, where a group of Celestials had come to find him. As they walked away, Elara watched Caelum, wishing that one day they could play together without restrictions.

The little fairy returned to her hut near the river of sleep, feeling an emptiness in her heart. Although she understood Mara’s concern, she couldn’t help but wish for a world where the realms could unite and share their wonders without fear.

As the sun set, Elara promised herself that one day she would find a way to create a bridge between the realms, so that no one would have to be separated from their friends by rules and barriers. But that idea quickly faded as a deep sleep came over her.

Mara knew that it wasn’t just that the little Celestial couldn’t meet and play with the other fairies; but he didn't want the Celestials to realize that Elara was a fairy who couldn't fly.
