Jiyeon remembered, "Oh, my phone is in my apartment. Where's your phone?" she asked.

Theodore replied, "That man took it with him."

Jiyeon asked, "But how did this happen, and who was that man?"

Suddenly, the door beeped.

Suddenly, the door beeped, and Jiyeon and Theodore rushed to hide in the almirah in Jihoon's bedroom. The small space forced them close together, their bodies touching in the darkness. The sound of their breathing filled the confined space, and both felt a blush rise to their cheeks as their chests brushed against each other.

"Relax, don't breathe loudly," Theodore whispered, his voice barely audible. "If anything happens, we'll handle it together."

Jiyeon nodded, her hand covering her mouth to stifle her breaths. They focused on the footsteps approaching the bedroom, their hearts pounding in unison. The footsteps stopped right in front of the almirah, and they held their breath as the handles were grasped.

"Noona? Hyung?" a familiar voice called out.

Jiyeon and Theodore exhaled in relief as they recognized Seojun, Jiyeon's younger brother. Seojun's eyes widened as he took in the scene. "What's going on? The house is a mess... AND HYUNG, YOU'RE BLEEDING! WHAT'S HAPPENING?"

"Shhh, don't be loud," Jiyeon whispered urgently. "I'll explain later. Did you see anyone suspicious coming here?"

Seojun shook his head. "No, I didn't see anyone."

Jiyeon let out a frustrated sigh. "You little rascal, you nearly scared us to death! Stupid..."

Theodore winced, clutching his side. "I'm bleeding a lot, and I'm feeling dizzy."

Jiyeon glanced at him, worry etched on her face. "It's the right time to escape to my house. Seojun, take Theo—no, Jihoon—home. I'll put everything back here to trick that person."

Theodore frowned. "How are you so sure he'll come back?"

Jiyeon met his gaze with determination. "He wanted to kill you, not just injure you. He'll come back to finish the job and erase any trace of his presence. Now go, I'm coming."

Seojun helped Theodore to his feet, supporting him as they made their way out. Jiyeon quickly began to tidy up the room, her mind racing with plans to outsmart their mysterious assailant. She knew they had to stay one step ahead if they were going to survive this ordeal.

Suddenly, she found an ID card under the table. The photo on the card showed an employee who worked at PARK TECHNOSPHERE. Jiyeon was shocked to find it and hurriedly closed the apartment door before rushing to her own apartment.

There, she found Theodore lying on the couch while Seojun dressed his wounds and helped him change his clothes. Jiyeon said to Seojun, "Let me explain what's going on."

Seojun replied, "I know, Hyung explained everything to me."

Jiyeon nodded. "Okay, go and bring water for me and Jihoon." As Seojun went inside, Jiyeon whispered to Theodore, "Look what I found under the table. Do you recognize this?" She showed him the ID card.

Theodore examined it and said no. Jiyeon said "It's from Jihoon's father's company. After his parents died, his aunt took over the company."

Jiyeon continued, "It's not just that. Listen carefully. The day you were rescued from the police station, the woman who came was Jihoon's aunt."

Theodore's eyes widened. "Yeah, she was so rude... Oh, wait, does this mean...?"

"Yes!" Jiyeon exclaimed. "She might have sent someone to kill you so she wouldn't have to hand over the company to you when you become an adult. You're the heir to the company. Other than me, Seojun, and your aunt, nobody knows the password to your apartment. She despises you a lot. "But we are still not sure.

Theodore sighed. "But I don't want the company."

Jiyeon replied, "You don't want it, but Jihoon does."

Theodore nodded. "Okay, this is just like our world. People will do anything for power."

Jiyeon asked Seojun, "Did you call the police?"

Seojun, bringing water and some meds for Theodore, said, "Yes, I called and told them everything." Suddenly, they heard footsteps in the corridor. Seojun, Jiyeon, and Theodore readied their fighting tools—Jiyeon with pepper spray, Theodore with a rope, and Seojun with a baseball bat, as he was the captain of their baseball team.

They opened the gate, and as the person turned, Jiyeon sprayed pepper spray at him. Seojun started hitting him with the bat, and the person yelled for help. Theodore tied his hands, legs, eyes, and mouth. Everything went perfectly as planned.

Jiyeon asked Seojun, "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Mom and Dad?"

Seojun replied, "No, I begged them to let me stay home."

Jiyeon asked, "So where were you all this time?"

Seojun answered, "I was at my friend's house. Please don't let Mom and Dad know this," he begged, showing his sparkly eyes.

Jiyeon sighed. "Okay." They started interrogating the intruder in the middle of the corridor. They tortured him, asking who sent him. The ID photo matched his face, confirming he was from Jihoon's father's company. Seojun shouted, "How dare you touch my Hyung! You don't know how much my sister likes him!" teasing Jiyeon.

Jiyeon shouted, "Ugh!" Just then, the police arrived and took the intruder away. They asked Theodore what had happened. Theodore explained, "I went to wash up, and when I came out, I went to the kitchen to drink water. I realized someone was beside me. I started defending myself, but he grabbed a knife and cut me. He had a glass vase in his other hand and broke it on my head. I fell, and then my friend untied me and took me out of the fridge."

The police then questioned Jiyeon about why she was there and how she knew Theodore was in danger. After the inquiry, she handed over the ID card to the police. The police praised them for their bravery and advised them to relax. They gave them a ride to the nearest hospital, where Theodore received proper treatment for his wounds and was told to rest.

As they came home, Theodore couldn't return to his apartment since the police wanted to investigate, and it was all a mess. It was around 10:32 pm, so Jiyeon suggested he stay at her house for a few days. He agreed.

The three of them sat on the couch, and Jiyeon sighed, "Now that everything is over, let's relax."

Seojun piped up, "Noona, can I please go to my friend's house for a night stay? Please, noona, please..."

Jiyeon frowned, "No, you can't. I'll tell Mom and Dad."

Seojun pleaded, "I helped you a lot that day and today too, please..."

After his persistent requests, Jiyeon finally relented, "Okay, but stay alert all the time and take care. Today we were in danger, so be careful."

Seojun grinned, "Okay, Noona, thank you! You're the best! Whenever Mom makes something tasty, I'll give you half my portion."

Jiyeon smiled, "Alright, go ahead."

As Seojun left, Jiyeon turned to Theodore, "I'll make something for you. You rest. Tomorrow, we're not going to school. We're taking 2-3 days off. Let me know if you need anything." She went into the kitchen.

Jiyeon prepared light spicy porridge for Theodore and spicy noodles for herself. She also ordered fried chicken and chestnut bars with chocolate. They had dinner together, sharing a few quiet moments of normalcy after the chaos.

As Theodore went to wash up, Jiyeon brought some clothes from Jihoon's house and placed them beside the bed in Seojun's room. She could hear Theodore humming in the washroom, and her mind wandered to strange thoughts. "No, what am I thinking?" she muttered to herself. "I should go."

"I've put your clothes here," she called out, just as Theodore emerged from the washroom, a towel wrapped around his lower body, water dripping from his hair, and another towel slung over his shoulder. The room was filled with the scent of soap, and Jiyeon couldn't help but stare for a few seconds, taking in his gym-toned body and six-pack abs.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to intrude," she stammered, turning to leave. But before she could go, Theodore gently pulled her hand, stopping her in her tracks.

"Jiyeon," he said softly, his eyes locking onto hers. The room seemed to shrink around them, the air thick with unspoken words and emotions.
